Is That So Much to Ask?

Recently I posted, “Cut and Paste Anglo-America.”  The post was linked by my favorite news aggregation site, “Whatfinger” and got a lot of visibility with folks who aren’t usually on the site.  One was a Canadian named Linn who wasn’t thrilled with my tongue in cheek idea of rearranging the two English speaking North American countries into a blue country and a red country.  Here’s what he had to say:

“I think it is offensive to assume Canadians would be blithely willing to give up their history and identity to become a part of the United States. It is ironic that President Trump ran on a patriotic campaign of Make America Great Again, but other Americans think that Canadians do not have the same patriotic feelings about their country even though the government had been usurped by the foul socialist left. Hopefully, Pierre Poilievre will make great strides in Making Canada Great Again.”

When I read his comment, my first thought was, “I’m glad not all Canadians hate Trump.”  Linn sounded like a Canadian patriot who wanted to get back his country from the Leftists.  Bravo!

And it made me think of how long ago it was when I thought we could win back the country just by electing Republicans.  How long ago I felt that the majority of Americans thought like me.  I guess it was in 2004; more than twenty years ago.  Wow, it seems even longer.  And I thought of all the disappointments and waking up to just how useless and dishonest the Republican establishment actually was.  Until Trump showed up it was Bushes, McCain and Romney all the way down.  So now even when we win, I find myself pessimistic.  After all the globalists control the whole apparatus of the modern world and do untold damage day in and day out.

But Linn’s comment got me thinking, there are good conservative people in most of the Western world.  Look at the right-wing parties growing larger in Canada, England, France, Germany, Holland and Italy.  Even Sweden and Denmark are beginning to come around.  And look how the Right has already taken control in Austria and Hungary.  And I’m sure there are conservative parties growing in every country in Europe.

Maybe it isn’t too late.  Maybe things will come to a head while Trump is in office.  Maybe we’ll see actual progress not just lip service to fixing the things that are broken.  What would make a big difference would be if Trump’s deportation effort worked well and became a template for the Europeans to follow.  Imagine if the French or the Italians were inspired to follow his lead and sent all the freeloaders packing.  Now that would be a miraculous sight.

I guess what I’m thinking is that maybe Trump is a leader for our side not only in America but around the world.  Maybe his example will rally people to the parties that want to take back their countries from the invaders.  His stubborn determination to get the job done is kind of a big deal and if he succeeds here other countries might follow his lead.  Everyone is always saying that America is the leader of the “free” world.  Well, why does free have to be code for leftist?  After all the leftists don’t want freedom anymore, except the freedom to define their sexuality in increasingly twisted and dysfunctional ways.  We want freedom of speech, thought, action and association.  We want freedom from being invaded by people who don’t like us or the way we live.  We want our country back.  Is that so much to ask?

Change to Get Behind

Greetings folks.  In 2025 the big news is corporations (and the federal government) will be bringing all their workers back to the office again.  I guess a five-year vacation is about enough.  With an actual president in charge, it seems like people will need to stop watching YouTube videos all day and start wearing pants again.  But not you Jeffrey Toobin.  That ship has sailed.

The new meme that’s out there coming from the Left is “Let’s forget the past and find common ground.”  Which translates to “We tried to destroy all of you and Trump but failed so how about we make believe we don’t hate you in exchange for you doing everything we tell you to do.”  It’s such a tempting offer.  It has almost everything, except us winning.  You see this from Democrat congressmen and senators.  They’ll tell you how nothing will be passed without their approval so the compromise position is Republicans let them dictate the acceptable legislation agenda.

I guess we’re about to find out if Johnson and Thune are any better than Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell were back in Trump’s first term.  It’s a cinch they can’t be any worse.  Luckily, I think Trump has learned a thing or two in the interim and he won’t let these turkeys screw things up like their predecessors.  In fact, maybe Trump intends to administer the government more or less by executive order.  If I were in his shoes, I think I would declare a national emergency and pay for the deportation by commandeering private resources like airliners and rail transportation to funnel these people into Mexico and let the Mexicans figure out how to get rid of them.

And I’m only half joking about how to handle the deportations.  I think a national emergency will allow him to sideline every local democrat judge who will attempt to block his every move.  Because it truly is a national emergency and whatever he has to do to fix this is justified and in the long run cost effective.  I can’t even imagine how many billions of dollars are currently spent on the feeding, housing, medical care and judicial costs for these tens of millions of illegal aliens.

But this is just me talking.  Does Donald Trump have a plan that will accomplish the things he says he will do and does he have the nerve to follow through on those plans in the face of relentless opposition from the Democrats in congress, in the courts and all of the deep state personnel who will do everything imaginable to prevent this from happening?

I think Trump should stage the deportation process to allow himself as much cover as possible.  He should start by deporting all the serious criminals; the felons and the gang members.  Practicing on this soft target will deflect a lot of the outrage and at the same time give him a chance to find all of the pitfalls and roadblocks that exist.  Also, he can use them as the worst case for what he can expect from the home countries of the aliens.  One of the Central American countries (can’t remember if it’s Honduras or Guatemala) has already stated that they will retaliate for their citizens being deported by evicting American troops from their country.

Well, it doesn’t sound like much of a threat.  After we finish transferring their criminals back home, we can then pack up our troops and send them home.  Win, win.

I guess, like everyone else, I’m anxious to see what Trump looks like in action.  I don’t expect miracles but I’m curious to see just how hard he punishes his enemies in the federal executive agencies.  Kash Patel will be the test case.  He’s on record as saying he wants to shut down the FBI building and turn it into a museum.  I hope he doesn’t.  I’d prefer he just empty out the building, one fired FBI agent at a time until it’s down to single digit occupancy.  Now that’s change I can get behind.

Guest Contributor – Milo Mindbender – 10APR2024 – End of Empire

Manipulation by our “betters” is a long standing tradition, ever since the first gathering of hominids there was a Bernie Sanders/Karl Marx to tell people what they were owed for the privilege of being in charge, and the penalty for being productive. When the Roman empire stopped expanding, and became unworthy of defending by Roman citizens, they were forced to hire the barbarians as mercenaries, and began to play games with the currency.
The practice of embedding veterans into captured territory, and wedding them to the natives, producing a new generation of Roman soldiery to take up arms for the empire, and reducing rebellion because no father in law wanted to destroy their grand children’s inheritance.
This stopped with the ceasing of expansion by the empire. We have now reached the point in our history where we are at the limits, defined by our neighbors, and the global community, of our expansion, and now begins the first stage of ossification. We have a citizenry that no longer is learning to love our country, believes JFK got it backwards with ” Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country”, emotionally crippled, sexually confused, and financially abused. Debasement of our currency was inevitable, it just seems that we get to live through the cashing of the checks our government wrote.
The hiring of barbarian mercenaries has begun as Los Angeles has just graduated a class of LEO cadets , that are here illegally, not legally allowed to own a firearm, but are now sworn police officers, a judge in Illinois just ruled that citizens must have FOID cards, but illegals can not be required to obtain them. I have no problem with “Dreamers” enlisting in the military to earn their citizenship, and actually encourage such programs. They come out of the shadows and are then legal, complete with the Responsibilities and privileges that come with citizenship, but draw the line at creating an armed organization that has less loyalty to the US, the. Constitution, and the people of the US than the agencies we already have in our borders.
I don’t always agree with Michael Weiner/ Savage but his statement that “Any country that doesn’t protect its borders, language, and citizens is not a country anymore” rings true.

Something Went Right at SCOTUS

I’ve said that when news is noteworthy, I’ll chime in.  And here is something worth discussing.  The Supreme Court has allowed the Texas State Law that authorizes the National Guard to arrest illegal immigrants to be restored.  Texas can now enforce this law and begin arrests.  The law has not been declared constitutional by SCOTUS.  Instead, the law will continue review at the appellate level and then, if necessary, it can be returned to the Supreme Court if necessary.

Well, this is a very limited victory.  But a win is a win.  Governor Abbott should proceed to enforcing his law to the best of his ability.  Even the announcement that this law exists now might have a very strong effect in deterring migrants from entering in Texas, or even coming to Texas from another state.

What strikes me is that Americans are beginning to wake up to the disaster that wholesale migration is causing.  Even the blue state mayors and governors are beginning to admit that they’re being overwhelmed by the practical problems caused by millions of destitute and sometimes criminal individuals flooding their cities and towns.  Places like New York City and Massachusetts have tried to put a brave face on it but the dislocation of services and lack of adequate housing have drained their coffers and forced the curtailment of critical programs and services.  And as the economy continues to sour (despite the happy talk about how Bidenomics is a blooming miracle) the budget shortfalls and growing criminal activities of the migrants will bring these problems to center stage.  The recent murders and rapes committed by illegal aliens is reaching the headlines despite the attempts by the Biden administration and their allies in the media to hush them up.

If Joe Biden is re-elected in November that will allow him to try and sweep all of this under the rug.  But it remains to be seen if a local reaction like the Texas law for arresting illegal immigrants and other actions like it could withstand the federal attacks and allow the states to defend themselves from Washington’s malfeasance.  So, whether Trump or Biden prevails in November, we will start to see what is going to happen with respect to illegal immigration.  And it may come earlier.  If the appellate court rules the law unconstitutional and the Supreme Court either refuses to review it or agrees with the appellate court then Texas will be in the position to either defy the federal government or knuckle under.

And that’s the final step.  If the states give in, we’re finished.  There’s nothing else that will happen to prevent the swamping of this country with as many as a hundred million immigrants.  At that point the economic conditions in what’s left of this country will have deteriorated to the point where further immigrants won’t be as excited about entering the country.  Maybe they’ll head to Canada despite the cold climate.  But the damage will be done and we will become Brazil.

So, kudos to the Supreme Court and to Governor Abbott and the Texas state legislature for at least allowing this attempt at sanity to at least try and mitigate the rolling catastrophe that Joe Biden has wrought.  Maybe this is the beginning of red states saying they’re fed up and won’t allow their states and their citizens to be abused by the federal government and their demented leader.  We’ll see.

And there’s my post.

SCOTUS Allows Texas to Arrest Illegals.

The Texas law that allows the National Guard to arrest illegal aliens is now back in effect after the Supreme Court decided not to extend the temporary halt. This is a major victory against Joe Biden’s assault on the southern border.

Kudos to the Supreme Court and to governor Abbott for at least doing something to try and end this invasion.  Let’s see where this goes.

What Do We Keep and What Let Go? – Part 3 – Gullibility

The first two installments were about things we must keep.  Let’s look at something that has to go. One word for it might be idealism.  For lack of a better term, I’ll call it gullibility.  It’s the willingness to give those in charge the benefit of the doubt when it comes to their intentions.  The recent COVID debacle is a prime example.  The various health agencies and the drug companies probably in concert with the intelligence agencies and the media came up with a plan to shut the country down during an election year and then force us to take a dangerous experimental drug all while shutting down dissent in the media and social media.

And half of the country adopted the plan like sheep and the other half were hounded out of their careers and demonized by the government.  And the truth about the disease and the “cure” were hidden for many months while the whole country went through chaos and economic and emotional turmoil.  And after all that no one was held accountable and nothing was acknowledged about the disastrous decisions that were made.

We can no longer give the people in charge the benefit of the doubt.  If they screw up, we have to assume that they are either stupid or criminal.  And in either case they must be held accountable.  At the very least we need to fire them.  So that means if Trump comes back to the White House what we must demand is that he fires every single idiot responsible for the COVID debacle.  And he needs to set up a special prosecutor to punish these people.  And the prosecutor needs to be in a jurisdiction where there won’t be a bunch of blue city jurors and the prosecutor can’t be a regime toady.

And Trump himself owes us an apology for being a gullible fool himself.  In fact, if he wasn’t the only hope for straightening out the mess we’re in, I’d say we should prosecute him for letting Fauci torture us during his term in office.  But I’ll cut him some slack.  But at the very least everyone in the US government who had anything to do with funding the Wuhan lab needs to be fired and prosecuted.

And a special prosecutor should employ unbiased scientists to review the data on the COVID virus and the vaccines and decide whether the drug companies and the FDA are complicit in the deaths of the people who were injured and died from the use of the vaccines.  I have no doubt that some people need to go to prison.

As another example, the George Floyd riots were at least tolerated and possibly abetted by the FBI and other law enforcement agencies.  And several local and state governments, notably Minneapolis and Minnesota, allowed their citizens to be harassed and in some cases assaulted and killed while a mob stalked the country.  This also needs to be investigated and those responsible prosecuted.  At the very least, most of the upper echelons of the FBI and the Justice Department need to be cleared out.

After all, the FBI has been unrelenting and brutal in their persecution of the poor souls who dared to protest inside the Capitol building.  Harmless people have been imprisoned and some of them forced into suicide for a riot in which no one was armed and no one killed.  But the George Floyd riots burned down countless properties and even managed to murder a number of people.  And the FBI did nothing to stop it or punish those responsible.  Those in charge need to be fired and punished for unequal application of the law.

Finally, the horror show caused by the open border is a crime that must be investigated and punished.  If President Trump can be prosecuted for his part in January 6th, then undoubtedly Joe Biden can be punished for allowing our country to be invaded.  And the immigration laws must be changed to end the invasion.

In general, we need to hold our leaders and their agents accountable for their actions and inactions.  And to do this we have to give up our idealistic ideas about government.  We have to stop being so gullible and replace it with mental toughness.  The power these people have over our lives is immense.  It’s time we started holding them responsible for the immense damage they do.

Mike Johnson’s Moment of Truth

The Senate Bill that involves money for the border, Ukraine and Gaza has been declared a train wreck by every conservative that’s read it.  It turns the open border that Joe Biden created into the legal status quo.  It allows for amnesty of untold number of illegals.  And it gives Ukraine another $60 billion.  Mike Johnson says it’s a terrible bill.  Okay, so that should be enough to bury it and anything like it for the duration of 2024.

But this is Washington DC.  The pressure to get the money for Ukraine is going to be tremendous.  The question is what will they be willing to trade for it?  I can imagine the Democrats will be so desperate they will be willing to promise just about anything.

But there lies the risk.  Whatever goodies they dangle in front of Mike Johnson to get him to sign on will need to be inspected microscopically for traps and loopholes.  In addition, as we’ve seen, just because a law says the federal government has to do x, y and z doesn’t mean they will.  Look at the current situation on the southern border.  There are already clear mandates for the Border Patrol to prevent illegals from entering the United States and courts with the power to deport them.  But none of that occurs.  There are laws that empower the federal government to identify companies employing illegal aliens and punish those companies and deport those illegals.  That never happens either.

Basically, if I were Mike Johnson, I’d tell Joe Biden to shut the border down completely, deport ten million illegals and build the wall before expecting to get another penny for Ukraine.  And if he says no, I’d tell him to go pound sand.  Which, come to think of it, he should tell him regardless of whether he does those things or not.  Joe Biden is a slimy lying sack of crap and should be addressed and treated as one at all times.

So, this is a very good test of Mike Johnson’s courage and instincts.  I can only imagine what kinds of threats and pressure will be brought to bear by the usual suspects.  He will be accused of being a traitor and a Putin puppet and all the usual nonsense by every toady and henchman of the Uniparty and by their paymasters at Raytheon and the other defense contractors that feed like vampires directly from an artery of this country’s life’s blood.

What would be victory?  I would say, not sending a penny to Ukraine and not codifying anything at the border that legitimizes a single illegal alien.

I’ve got to be honest, I’m not super hopeful he can stand up to the whole bureaucracy, the White House and the Congress.  But if there was ever a moment when it should be done, this is it.  Holding off that money until November should be enough to end the Ukraine war.  Zelensky will be booted out by his own people and a deal will be cut with the Russians that should end the wholesale slaughter.

The example that will set for the rest of the world will be important.  It will show that the American people can rein in the maniacs that have been running our foreign-policy for decades and show that it’s possible to advance American security and interests without inciting and blundering into wars everywhere we go.

Good luck Mike.  Just say no.

On With the Show

Well, it was Friday so of course, I listened to the ZMan’s podcast.  It was called “The Mutant Supremacy” and was about the search to find the part of the Democrat constituency that is responsible for demanding the worst of their agenda.  These would be things like reparations, transgender rights and all of the most egregious policy demands.  He did a pretty good job narrowing it down by analyzing the underlying motivations of the various components of the Democrat coalition.  All in all, a good discussion.  And one of his points was that without the small group of people that spearheads these crazy causes the rest of the Left and Right would probably get along reasonably well, as opposed to the Civil War that seems to be on the verge of breaking out any day.

And then later on I saw that trailer again for that upcoming “epic” movie. “Civil War” and it made me think that all of this is completely unnecessary.  None of the things going on is due to inevitable clashes between different classes and ethnic groups at all.  All of these things are being stirred up by the same people who gave us Barack Obama and Joe Biden.  All of this is a deliberate program of incitement.  Joe Biden released millions of illegal aliens into the United States deliberately to sow conflict and worsen the economic plight of the American working class.  All of the dislocation associated with the “green energy program” will make everyone except for the investors in the companies manufacturing the green energy products, poorer.  For all the rest of us, we will be paying more for gasoline, heating oil and gas, food and all the other products that are manufactured from or with fossil fuels.  And then think of the whole COVID fiasco.  They were willing to shut down the whole economy and keep kids out of school for a year just to sabotage voting in an election.  And with the recent confirmation that the COVID virus was manufactured in the Wuhan lab it points to even more awful possibilities.  It has been reported that the United States, probably for the CIA, was paying for a virus program at Wuhan that included “gain of function” modifications to bat corona viruses.

When I first read that I felt like it was some kind of bad joke.  I mean, what other information would be needed for anyone with even room temperature IQ to make the imaginative leap to the idea that we paid for the COVID virus.  I just hope we didn’t actually release it too.

So, if we live in a society where a small number of people antagonize the rest of the population with increasingly harmful and even disastrous governmental dictates, how long can it be before this program leads to open revolt?  And after all, isn’t that exactly why all these things are being pushed?  None of these things satisfy the various aggrieved parties.  They only enrage the people they target, the unprotected constituencies that suffer the consequences.  So maybe all of this is to bring on the war that they claim we’re spoiling for.

So, I have to assume their ready for it.  Just as they were ready for the January 6th riot.  You could say they wanted the riot.  Some say they actually led it with undercover agents in the crowd entrapping the unsuspecting protestors.

Maybe they’re ready for what is going on in Texas.  Maybe they want the confrontation.  It’s hard to say.  But I think at a certain point all of this becomes a fait accompli.  A spark will set off the whole powder keg and we’ll get the explosion that the Left has been building for decades.  And at a certain point you stop caring about trying to avoid the inevitable.  The extra work becomes insupportable.

So, when Joe Biden wins the 2024 election, things will change.  I think those not on the Left will abandon the presidential election as a legitimate institution.  I think what we’re seeing in Texas right now may be the blue print for what will happen going forward.  The Constitution’s definitions of the federal government’s duties can be used to prove that they are in dereliction of their responsibilities and this provides a rationale for the states to step in.   This is what Governor Abbott has done for the border crisis and it can be used in the future for a number of similar cases where the feds have defaulted on their responsibilities.

From my point of view, the sooner this begins, the better.  With his abysmal approval ratings, Biden is in the weakest position imaginable for a president and additional attacks will weaken him further.  Will the outcome be a disaster for our side?  Maybe.  But as I said earlier, at a certain point you just stop caring and want to get it over with.  On with the show.
