I’m Not from Missouri But, My New Motto is “Show Me”

I get e-mails, letters and postcards asking for donations, memberships and other forms of support.  Some of these are from annoying corporations like AARP and various energy companies that claim they can make my life better by offering me fabulous benefits and savings.  And I can’t blame these people for sending this crap to me.  Caveat emptor and all that.  Consumers in this country just ignore all that jazz.  Honestly, I need an industrial grade shredder for all this stuff.

But then there are the political candidates from all over the country who are running for office or already are in office but want me to help them “make a difference.”  Well, they’re barking up the wrong tree.  Appeals to my desire for change are too late.  They all had their chance.  They’ve had decades to fix these things.  For fifty years I’ve watched them struggle and stumble and been treated as a punching bag by the Left.  Well, that’s enough.  If they’re too stupid or too lazy to beat out the bad guys then they don’t deserve any money or help from me.

So now the currency of the hour is success.  Results; checks in the win column; scalps on the wall.  That’s the coin of the realm.  So, Ron DeSantis is a winner.  Donald Trump is a winner.  The Supreme Court is a winner.  Tucker Carlson is a winner.  Elon Musk is a winner, sort of.  Each of them has done something that pushed back against the Left and produced results.  Measurable, identifiable and applaudable results.

And you know who else has a win?  All those beer drinkers who are boycotting Anheuser Busch.  That’s a win.  Donald Trump Jr. saying don’t boycott Anheuser Busch because they’re our friends?  Well, that’s a losing message.  Sure maybe it’s too late to change the Left’s control over corporate America.  But it certainly can’t hurt to punish the most egregious traitors.  It’s like primarying Liz Cheney.  It’s just a gesture but it’s a very satisfying gesture and it feels good to hit back at these people.  Make them pay for humiliating us and profiting from their betrayal of us at every single turn.

Results, results, results.  If you want our money, if you want our support, if you want our trust, show us results.  Accomplish something!

And they’ve got the easiest victory laid out in front of them.  Trans-gendering children is an abomination that is just crying out for politicians to get out in front of the movement to ban it.  DeSantis to his credit is already doing something about it.  The schools that groom kids into believing in these things are the obvious targets to attack.  And the pharmaceutical companies and the medical centers that enable these procedures and the AMA that certifies these things safe and effective all should be attacked and punished legally for the harm they are doing.

But until something is actually done it’s just a wasted opportunity.  It proves that no one out there really wants to do anything to help us.  They just want our money because they say they will make something happen if we send it.

Well, no.  Show me that you can do more than parrot some words.  Show me that you’re smart and brave.  Show me the win!  Until then, save the postage.  I’m not buying it.

Parody Will Probably Turn Into Reality Any Day Now

The Babylon Bee has so often seen their parodies turned into late breaking news so I have no doubt that Anheuser Busch’s marketing department are frantically looking for a way to double down on stupid even as we speak.  So far they had the lame no-pology by the CEO and now there is a “patriotic” ad of a Clydesdale galloping from New York City to Washington DC to the Grand Canyon.  There weren’t any noticeable gender dysphoric mental patients in sight but give them a chance.  The week is young.

 

 

Anheuser-Busch CEO Makes Statement Without an Apology

Brendan Whitworth is the Anheuser-Busch InBev CEO.  On Friday he made a statement about the Dylan Mulvaney sponsorship which basically said:

NOTHING.

He said. “We never intended to be part of a discussion that divides people,” and “We are in the business of bringing people together over a beer.”

So if they never intended to divide people why would they pick someone who by his very self-identification would antagonize the great majority of Bud Light customers?  Well, because their corporate culture is antithetical to the beliefs of the people who they sell their product to.  And they’d rather virtue-signal to their peers about how enlightened they are, even if it infuriates their customers.

My favorite comment on this apology was: “NOPE. Not good enough. Boycott continues until full apology, fire VP Mrkt, and Mulvaney dropped. Either that or Anheuser-Busch becomes the next Schlitz.”

Well, this is the perfect test case.  Bud Light is Joe Six-Pack’s go to beverage.  If there is one product that could be boycotted to good effect it’s this one.  And it’s the perfect time of year.  We’re on the cusp of barbecue weather and baseball and every other sports event but football.  So let’s just see where this goes.  If you never hear another thing about this then it’s hopeless.  Anheuser-Busch needs Bud Light profitable to stay in business.  If they never give a real apology and fire the wicked witch of the west then basically we have no clout at all.  So stay tuned.  I’ll follow up on this one.

The Tempo is Picking Up

The Left is right out in the open now.  Antifa and the sexual deviants that make up a good chunk of it are openly assaulting anyone who disagrees with them.  Some of them have jumped right off the deep end and are murdering children to bring attention to their hatred of normalcy.

We’re nowhere near any climax to this thing but they’ve definitely ratcheted up the action.  Things in Tennessee and in California speak to this.  Now, California is a joke and anyone who attempts to speak out there is just looking to be martyred.  But Tennessee might be a flashpoint where the Right might make a stand and accomplish something.  So are Texas and Florida.  Governor Abbott in Texas would be sending a powerful message if he pardoned Daniel Perry, the soldier who was convicted of murder in Austin for defending himself during a BLM riot.  If he doesn’t pardon Perry, I think it will diminish him greatly.

In each of these states a Republican majority needs to find ways to establish control over the blue cities and the street thugs that infest them.  Doing this effectively and finding a template to spread this to other states is the priority.  The legislatures need to make it easy to impeach any public official, whether a mayor, DA or judge, who is committing crimes against their constituents.  And this is especially important when there are places like Austin where the majority advocates for these crimes.  The fact that Daniel Perry was convicted shows there are areas where the law has been perverted due to the infestation of leftists.  Extreme measures will need to be enacted that allow the state to wrest criminal justice out of the hands of jurisdictions that consistently pervert justice.  And impeachment is probably the best mechanism for that.

The joker in all this is always the federal government.  They will swoop in and attack red state officials who attempt to prevent the Antifa goons and BLM rioters from having their way.  And now we’ve added in the trans-psychos as an open front in the war.  Maybe we are close to a confrontation between a red state and the feds.  That will be the acid test.  When a governor finally sticks his neck out and refuses to back down to the Justice Department will decide whether there will ever be any real progress against the Left.  That’s the Rubicon moment.

DeSantis in Florida, Abbott in Texas and Lee in Tennessee will eventually be pushed into a corner where they will either stand up to the feds or capitulate.  That’s the reality we are in.  When that will happen is not clear but it seems that things are moving faster now.  Maybe it has to do with the economy sputtering; inflation, recession and bank failures all at once are forcing Biden and his handlers to look to distract people with the street theater that is Antifa and the trans-madness.  All this may be completely contrived to panic the voters.  If so then it is an opportunity to take a stand and take control in those states where the Left isn’t dominant.

But that will require courage.  And courage is one of the scarcest of commodities.  As we’ve seen, the Left is completely without scruple or mercy.  They will destroy, literally destroy anyone who stands in their way.  It will take enormous courage and intelligence to beat them.  They’ve gotten their tentacles into every facet of our society and prying them loose is a herculean task.

And it will require coordination.  So far, we haven’t seen outward signs of red states coordinating their tactics and policies.  When we see that happening it will be a very good sign that intelligence is starting to appear on the Right.

So, will 2023 be the year of the confrontation?  Hard to say.  It really depends on whether there is a man with a plan out there to tackle the leftist goliath and strike a blow for our side.  I’d like to say it will happen soon but that’s just a hope.  What I will say is the Left is definitely getting crazier.  Maybe they will generate a little crazy on the right too.  Then maybe a spark might catch fire.

03APR2023 – Transgender Horror Story for the Day

Here’s the story of a mother of a confused adolescent who fell into the clutches of the Washington University, Transgender Center at St. Louis Children’s Hospital and had to fight an uphill battle to save her son from the ravages that puberty blockers were causing to her son’s mind and body.

She was bullied into agreeing to the puberty blockers when the Center’s psychologist warned her that suicide was a common outcome for transgender children refused therapy.  This was a lie.  The actual statistic is 3 out of a thousand transgender children commit suicide.  So she gave her permission for the blockers.

After her son’s mental health deteriorated to the point where he was failing in school and he had begun to think about suicide his mother decided she’d had enough of the treatment”

“On June 9, Caroline had had enough. She decided it was time to get the blocker in her son’s arm removed. She sent this pointed and angry email to the clinic:

“Please be advised that I’m revoking my consent for this course of medical treatment. Grades have dropped, there’s been an in-patient behavioral health visit and now he’s on 5 different medications. Lexipro [sic], Trazadone [sic], Buspar, etc. [Casey] is a shell of his former self riddled with anxiety. Who knows if it’s because the hormone blockers or the other medications. I revoke my consent. I want the hormone blocker removed. Thank you.””

But the clinic ignored her demand because the boy’s father hadn’t revoked his approval.  The center knew better than his custodial parent and refused to end the treatment.

“Caroline hopes that her family can find the right help to undo the effects and side effects of the center’s treatment. She says, “My son needs the antidote to this whole therapy. I feel like he needs a licensed therapist, an endocrinologist, people who can see him through the recovery from this. It’s going to be physical and mental. And then we need family counseling, because this whole thing has torn us apart.””

All of this is disgusting and the opposite of medicine.  “Do no harm” is supposed to be the doctor’s creed.  Instead it’s let’s torture kids and create monsters.

Death Trap

In my post yesterday I said I would evaluate how to know whether it’s better to stay in your blue state or move to a red state or even emigrate to another country.  Well, all of that is a big bundle of work that I’ve just begun to work on.  But one thing doesn’t take much calculating is knowing when you’ve reached the point where you have to leave.  And current trends make that determination clear.  With the situation around “transitioning” children to the opposite sex we have reached that point.  The fact that an industry already exists to provide drugs and surgeries to ruin and mutilate children provides unmistakable proof that we’ve reached that threshold where if this outrage isn’t rejected strenuously and decisively by our elected representatives then we are clearly at the point where Americans need to find a place that does not allow such madness to exist.  Even if this place is poor and squalid and has many terrible things going on.  The fact that it defends its children from monsters makes it a better place to live than a rich, modern, cosmopolitan place that doesn’t.

Think about it for a second.  If you live in a place like California, a grade school teacher or a social worker can decide that your child is transgender and then authorize a transition of that child even against your strenuous objections.  And if you stand in the way of this process, they can take your child away from you to do it.  Now how is that any different from Nazi Germany or Maoist China or Stalin’s Soviet Union?  It might even be worse.  At least those places needed sexually intact citizens to provide the next generation to increase the glory of the Motherland or the Fatherland.  And I never heard of a dictator who tried to change the Motherland into the Fatherland or vice versa.

No, we’ve reached the tipping point.  If transgender transitioning of children holds up in our country then you will officially know you live in a doomed civilization and should flee as fast as you can to a place that hasn’t descended into madness and evil.  I often kid about cannibalism being the marker we can look for to show us we’ve hit bottom.  Well, cannibalism is enlightened compared to this.  That is, assuming they’re not cannibalizing their kids.  Adults, especially, women are supposed to be empathetic about their kids.  In the past there were stories of parents laying down their lives to save children, even other people’s kids.  It’s supposed to be bred into us to favor the small helpless hope of the future that we work so hard for and spend the best years of our lives raising.  If parents allow this madness to swallow up their children it’s proof that our civilization has lost the will to live.

The idea that we would allow the unspeakable harm that they euphemistically call “gender affirming treatment” to be committed against innocent children is beyond criminal.  It’s a crime against humanity.  It’s a blasphemy against everything we hold precious.  It’s monstrous.

So, pay attention to what’s going on.  Yesterday Joe Biden said that transgender Americans shape the soul of America.  This issue should be the rallying cry for every normal person running for office.  They should run on this issue alone.  They should call out anyone, Democrat or Republican who defends this horrific practice against children.  It should be banged like a drum, day and night.  This should be the rallying cry.

And if we lose this one don’t worry about figuring out whether you should stay in this country.  The answer will be to escape as fast as you can from this death trap.

Who, Who Will Still Not Wear the Rainbow Jersey?!?!?!

“NHL may cancel LGBT ‘Pride’ nights as growing number of players refuse to wear rainbow gear.”

Is it possible that someone will be permitted to not wear the ribbon?  I watched the video clip in this article of the sports reporter raving about how outrageous it would be for someone not to support gay pride by refusing to wear the rainbow jersey.  He looked like he was about to have a stroke.

Of course in Canada they may be able to jail hockey players for not wearing the ribbon.  They have even fewer rights up there than we do.  But maybe, just maybe we have reached maximum pride.  Perhaps the drum beat of adulation for people whose identity is based on being sexually abnormal has crested and now we can start getting back to celebrating functional and normal things, like people raising families where the “gender” of the children isn’t a mystery and a medical problem.
