Make a Start, Make a Start

This is a good time to get things going.  The puppet masters are loosening the strings for a while.  The puppets are exhausted.  Probably even the FBI and Google are tired of spying on normal people and want a few weeks to have a barbecue and reconnect with their pod families.  Everyone wants a breather.  Even DOTUS* probably needs to be hung in a damp darkened closet and allowed to absorb more mold spores before he goes on simulating intelligent life.

And we need to do the same.  Go out and enjoy your life and enjoy the season and revel in having friends and family that you can at least see and hold.  Hug that grandchild and slap the back of your brother or nephew.  Play a game of baseball catch.  Have a barbecue and eat way too much, really bad food.  Do all those things.  You deserve it.

But do one more thing.  Remember that all this will happen again.  These people control you and they will disrupt your life again because it gives them the control they need to make things go in the direction that benefits them.  And because this is just a breather, remember to use it to make the changes that will make you less vulnerable to the next crisis.

Maybe it’s changing jobs to escape a dead-end situation because equity now means no more advancement for you based on the color of your skin.  Or maybe it’s moving to a freer state or country because you are tired of being told that you are an aggressor because your ancestors weren’t the right shade.  Or maybe it’s time to change careers because there’s no better time than now to make the leap.  Or maybe it’s just time to take stock of your life and decide what personal changes you want or need to make to flourish.  Maybe lose some weight and get in shape.  Take up a sport with some friends.  Dump some bad habits.  Dump some bad friends or even relatives that make your life a misery.  Maybe rethink your philosophy on life or even think about God.

Now, don’t get me wrong.  “Rome wasn’t built in a day.”  But the other side of that coin is, “A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.”  So, make a start.  Sit down, take stock and decide what are the highest priorities on your personal to-do list and figure out how to make step one on that item, your highest priority.  Then do it.  Then figure out steps two through two hundred and figure out a system to make it happen.  Sure, you might find that the devil is in the details and you’ll have to change the final goal.  That’s just reality.  If you find yourself spending time figuring out hard problems, that means you’re making progress.  Important things are usually complicated and difficult.  But you’re doing the work.  Bravo.  The trick is to steal a little time every day to accomplish something on the project.  Make it happen.  Don’t dither, don’t put it off for another time.  There may not be another time.  Think about your life as a finite pile of sand and don’t use it up without doing what you think is your destiny.  Even if you fail, the effort is your will made manifest.  It’s your challenge shouted out to the sky.  A bang instead of a whimper.

And my saying that today was what I wanted to do.  Not everything I want to get done today.  I have a plotting problem in my story that’s got me stumped.  But that’s a different bucket.  I wanted to get this out.  And I have!

Morton Has a New Post – Never Again – Standing Up to The Oligarchy

Max Morton is a good writer and has interesting things to say.  In his new article he looks back to the Nazi othering of the Jews and other enemies of the Reich and compares it to the Left’s use of BLM and Antifa to target normal White people as their “other.”

The piece is well written and demonstrates how setting up an internal enemy allows the powerful to divide and conquer and keep the gravy train moving along for the oligarchs.

He finishes off by saying that those who are obeying the oligarchs and attacking the Left’s enemies should come to their senses and join forces with us.  It’s a nice sentiment but I think the Left has its constituents and they are pretty bought in.

What it does tell me is that instead of counter-attacking the useful idiots the more useful strategy is attacking the oligarchs directly.  Go after their money.  That is their primary concern.  Destroy that and you destroy them.  The question is how.

Slate Says Arizona Recount “Crazy.” They Must Be Doing Something Right

I read most of this wall of words report from Slate magazine.  They seem kind of scared that the result will show that Joe Biden lost Arizona.

The forensic audit is apparently looking at more than just the ballot choice for president.  I guess they’re looking for evidence of large scale fake ballots.  They’re looking for evidence of mass produced ballots.  Like one person filling out thousands of ballots.  Hey that sounds smart.  It should be interesting to see what comes of this.

If it does show that Trump should have won Arizona , then it will be more likely that other states will look at their results.  Pennsylvania would be especially interesting because I think there the fraud was most egregious.

Now, it’s not completely assured that fraud can be proved.  If the riggers were even semi-intelligent they would have made sure that their tracks were covered.  But that’s a big “if.”

The count will be complete this month so we’ll know soon whether anything will come of this.

Gilda (1946) – An OCF Classic Movie Review

This is considered a film noir.  I’d call it a happy ending in search of a plot.

The movie begins with Glenn Ford as Johnny Farrell, a down on his luck American in Argentina that is rescued from an armed robbery by a mysterious man with a sword cane.  This man, Ballin Mundson, ends up hiring him to run his illegal casino and soon enough he is Mundson’s right hand man and has all the secrets of Mundson’s fabulous wealth and power.  Apparently Mundson was in cahoots with Nazis who gave him fabulous secrets for cornering the market on fabulous tungsten.  Really, tungsten.  We’re told that a monopoly on tungsten will give Mundson control of the world!  So, since this is 1946 there are disgruntled ex-Nazis running around.  Apparently, they gave him the secrets of tungsten.  Plus, Mundson marries Gilda (played by the very beautiful Rita Hayworth) who was heavily involved with Farrell back in the United States.  But although Mundson suspects that they have history neither will admit to it.

For whatever reason that you care to come up with yourself we’re supposed to believe that Johnny and Gilda hate and love each other and all the tricks Gilda plays to make Johnny either jealous, or worried about Mundson becoming jealous, or both, make sense.  But they don’t.  It’s silly and annoying.

But all good things must come to an end.  Both the Argentine police and the Nazis are closing in on Mundson.  Probably a spike in the price of tungsten.  In rapid succession, Mundson kills one of the Nazis, orders a plane to be ready for him at an airfield, sees Gilda and Johnny kissing in her bedroom then flees to the airfield with Johnny and the police in hot pursuit.  They arrive in time to watch Mundson’s plane take off and then explode over the Atlantic Ocean.  But Mundson parachutes out and is picked up by a waiting boat.

If that’s not goofy enough, Johnny then marries Gilda, the heiress to the tungsten cartel and takes the reins of tungsten power.  He then tells Gilda that she will be treated as a prisoner with no conjugal privileges until she admits to all the love affairs she’s had since Johnny left her in their old life.  Huhh?  She runs away to Uruguay (!) but the Tungsten King has his henchmen bring her back.  Gilda and Johnny are very unhappy.

Meanwhile the police want to bust up the tungsten cartel and they close the casino to force Johnny to give them the information.  When he does, the police inspector tells Johnny that Gilda and Johnny are both in love with each other and they should go back to America and be happy.  So, Johnny walks into the casino to ask Gilda to forgive him and return to America with him.

Just then Mundson returns and intends to shoot Johnny and Gilda.  But the bathroom attendant stabs Mundson in the back with his own sword cane.  And the police inspector tells Johnny and the bathroom guy that since Mundson committed suicide months ago he can’t be murdered.  Huhh?

I forgot to tell you about the bathroom attendant.  He’s comic relief that advises both Johnny and Gilda on life.  Plus, he’s a bathroom attendant.

So, Gilda and Johnny live happily ever after unless they screw up again.

Okay, that’s unbelievable isn’t it?  But the guy who plays Mundson is fun to listen to with his German accent and his love of canes and capes and stuff.  Rita Hayworth is fun to look at and she dances sometimes and lip synchs to someone singing “Put the Blame on Mame.”  And even though all this stuff sounds absurd the movie moves right along and, well, before you know it there’s that plane crash and then that happy ending.

This is a silly movie but I think it’s worth watching because Rita Hayworth is very pretty and looks swell dancing.  And there are Nazis and there is that bathroom attendant who is sort of a home-grown philosopher and pretty handy with a sword cane.

So, I recommend this film but if what I wrote doesn’t convince you then give it a pass.

Unmask!  Unmask!

Camera Girl has returned from the grocery store and miracle of miracles, the masks are gone.  So are the six-foot spacing rules and the arrows to tell you which direction you have to walk.  All in one fell swoop all those wonderfully comforting shackles have been removed!

I’ll have to go see if this has become general when I go to the hardware store to get some supplies to help me clean out my lawnmower carburetor.  But the report is that some hard-core maskers are refusing to let go.  This follows on the publication of such thoughtful crap as this gem entitled, “Excuse Me If I’m Not Ready to Unmask.”  So, these losers are going to walk around with that ridiculous scrap of fiber over their mouths and noses forever.  That really is a great metaphor for the religious fervor these idiots are exhibiting over something that everyone else has already learned is stupid.  Now that it’s good and hot it will be comical to watch these boobs hyperventilate as they try to breath in the stultifying environment they’ve senselessly maintained.

I wonder if that prize turkey Dementia Joe will continue to show up in videos wearing his black mask and huskily exclaim “Mask up!  Mask up!  It’s your patriotic duty!  Otherwise, you’ll pay the price!”  When and if he survives his time in office I wonder if “Doctor” Jill will sell off his still living carcass as an exhibit at Madame Tussaud’s in Washington, D.C. where crowds can push a button and an electric jolt will prompt him to utter his tag line “Mask up, mask up!” on command.

Anyway, the question that remains is whether we will have to go through this whole charade again in October when Pfizer will want to sell the federal government another ten billion dollars of vaccines for our own good.  It will be interesting to see if the smarter states just say no to the circus and throw Joe the finger.  Either way we have one more indication that our country is no longer the land of the free and the home of the brave.  We’re frightened slaves who cower at the crack of the whip and walk with heads bowed and eyes averted when the Deep State says so.  We allow our children to be indoctrinated with the lie that their families are evil people who deserve to be punished and dispossessed of all they worked for.

I’ll know that there is hope when the master says jump and someone finally tells him no.  Tells him no and makes it stick.  That’s the day I’ll feel some hope for this sad remnant of America.  Until then at least I can breath easy for now.  Thank you, Big Brother.

Left Says, “Stop Being Mean to Liz Cheney!”

Oh no!  Slate says if we kick Liz Cheney out of the Republican Party we’ll never win again!  What we gonna do?

I love these brilliant studies that show that that a third of a fifth of republican voters who don’t want to see Cheney kicked to the curb might vote for a Democrat in 2022.  What kind of a spineless loser do you have to be to be scared by that prospect?  Good!  If we have to win with Liz Cheney I’d rather go somewhere else where the people aren’t pusillanimous worms.  Let’s call Cheney the canary in the mine.  If the voters still think she’s on the Right then we deserve to lose anyway.  Do we need to take political strategy advice from Slate?

Only read the linked article if you have  strong stomach.  What’s next?  The Return of JEB! ?
