This is an example of news. This is someone getting something done.
“Though the first of its kind, Louisiana’s age-verification bill was not the last. Nearly identical bills have passed in six other states — Arkansas, Montana, Mississippi, Utah, Virginia and Texas — by similarly lopsided margins. In Utah and Arkansas, the bills passed unanimously. The laws were passed by overwhelming margins in legislatures controlled by both parties and signed into law by Democratic and Republican governors alike. In just over a year, age-verification laws have become perhaps the most bipartisan policy in the country, and they are creating havoc in a porn industry that many had considered all but impossible to actually regulate.”
There is hope.
I tried to write something today. Trump, DeSantis, Biden, Tucker, the Media, COVID, BLM, Antifa, Urban Crime, Ukraine, Russia, China. It’s all been said. It’s all been said a million times. We all know it by heart. BLAH, BLAH, BLAH, BLAH, BLAH!!!
All the same stuff. So, what is new? What is news?
Well, news is what someone did about it. And there are bits of news here and there. That guy Rufo teamed up with DeSantis in Florida to begin cleaning out one of the woke Florida state colleges. He’s on the board of governors along with a bunch of other conservatives and they are stripping away the DEI initiatives and the HR policies that favor leftist results. They’re even getting rid of curriculum that serves no purpose other than leftist propaganda. Now that’s news.
And in Texas the governor and the legislature have drafted, approved and signed a bill that keeps biological males out of women’s college sports. Now that’s an actual event.
And a number of states have banned transgender transitioning of minors. That’s news. That’s worth noting.
And Anheuser-Busch is still losing untold hundreds of millions of dollars in business because they decided to bend a knee to the transgender mafia. And Target and Disney and a few other corporations have also lost lots of business for similar decisions. That’s big news.
News worth talking about is real actions that show results.
Liz Cheney and those other RINO congressmen getting bounced out of the House is news. The fact that Mitt Romney is being primaried next year is news. There’s a data point about to be unveiled. We’re going to learn if Utah really is a red state. If Romney survives it’s purple. If he gets bounced it’s red.
Twitter (or X) is news. We’ll have to wait to find out if it’s going to be good news or bad news. Elon Musk has laid a $44 billion bet that a free speech social platform can make a profit. We’ll see.
Fox firing Tucker Carlson is big news. We’ll find out if the right is willing to pay a small amount of cash to get news from our side. We’ll see.
And the biggest news will be whether the Deep State will send Donald Trump to prison. In a way this isn’t really news. This is political theater. But it remains to be seen if Trump can use this stage to galvanize enough Americans to scare the Deep State into allowing a fair election. This is the biggest question mark of all.
And there are smaller stories out there. Christian movie studios and non-leftist book and comic book publishers making real money. PublicSq providing a marketplace for people who want to avoid woke companies. These things are news.
So, the news is the seeds that are starting to sprout. And right now, impact is negligible, infinitesimal, laughably small. But it’s a start. And that’s the news.
Forget about the Republican primary. That’s not news. That’s a joke. If Donald Trump is prevented from being the candidate, then it won’t matter who is. The rank and file won’t show up in November. Trump is their protest vote. He’s a thumb in the eye of the powers that be. News would be if somehow, we ended up with a fair election. Forget news, that would be a miracle.
And the biggest news would be someone organizing a movement to bypass the Republican party to coordinate the Red State governments to start to standardize and optimize their policies to protect their citizens from the federal government. And while they’re at it, begin to rein in the national Republican party and make it more accountable to the voters in their states.
What a cool monster face.

I’ll be out and about this morning. I must venture outside of Dunwich’s accursed borders. Like everyone else I’m a creature of circumstance and must get some things done. But I’ll be back to work this afternoon and I’m sure to provide brilliance and mirth aplenty when I reapply my shoulder to the wheel and my nose to the grindstone.
In the meantime I provide this classic tune for your listening pleasure.
Imagine if there really were lawyers willing to sue employers for discrimination based on political views. That might make a dent in the woke corporate crap currently going on.
If you were unfairly treated by your employer due to posting or liking something on this platform, we will fund your legal bill.
No limit.
Please let us know.

There are lots of really terrible consequences of living under a tyranny where none of the protections of a free society exist. And when you happen to be a despised minority in that country it’s even worse. At any moment you can be stripped of your privacy, your dignity, your livelihood, your possessions, your freedom, even your life. You have to watch while those in charge break their own laws and suffer no consequences while innocent men are persecuted and hounded out of public life just because they speak the truth.
But one great advantage of living in clown world is that you get to laugh at all the clowns. And what an array. Joe Biden. Now there’s a rich vein. Any and every day that he’s on video is comic gold. Will he fall down, break into gibberish, wander off stage because he’s befouled himself? Or will he just lie so outrageously that his handlers will have to pretend that he didn’t say what he obviously said.
Or how about his press secretary? That vacuous nitwit who has to deflect half the questions because there’s just no sane answer that doesn’t include admitting that her boss is a crook.
And what about Hunter Biden? A man who beds his dead brother’s widow and smokes crack on video while being serviced by underage prostitutes while acting as the bagman for the influence peddling of his corrupt father. Oh, and he gets like a half million dollars for his finger paintings too.
Or how about the voters of New York City or LA or Chicago or any of the several dozen big cities that have voted in mayors and district attorneys that are now reducing those cities to crime-ridden hell holes in the name of “equity?”
And how about Anthony Fauci? That’s the best one of all. Here’s a man who could switch from swearing that vaccines were a panacea to admitting vaccines protected no one at the drop of a hat. He could say that there was no chance the virus came from a lab and then say there was a very good chance it did. This man is a consummate liar and he even does it with a smile on his face.
So, this is the silver lining in living in the gulag. You don’t have to pretend to believe any of it. Not one thing. If someone defends the dear leader or talks about the great economy we enjoy or cheerleads for Ukraine there’s one universal reply.
Laughter.
It’s as simple as that. No anger, no denial, no argument. Just derisive laughter and walking away. Nothing else speaks as clearly and powerfully as that. It’s the perfect retort when a patently absurd statement has been made. Obviously, it is being made by a partisan hack. It’s like when that CNN stooge started talking about how family values were a cornerstone of Joe Biden’s political persona. This was being said about a man who showered naked with his teenage daughter and raised up Hunter Biden to be a crack-smoking, stripper-banging scumbag. When someone says something like that, derisive laughter is the only reasonable reply. Well, at least short of violence against the perpetrator which isn’t allowed in a banana republic against one of the regime toadies.
But there are limits. If the one making the statement is an FBI or IRS agent you might want to keep a straight face and remain silent. After all banana republics have notoriously dangerous dungeons where enemies of the state sometimes end up. But if the regime toady is just your neighbor or some rando you ran into then have at it and enjoy yourself to the max. Let a few tears leak out and slap him heartily on his back to show you appreciate the hilarious joke he’s just uttered.
Yes, that is our only pleasure. And they say laughter is the best medicine. We’re gonna need it.
Well there it is. Imagine he writes in a letter to a girlfriend that he fantasizes about gay sex.
Another barrier broken. America’s first bisexual president. And I guess it makes sense that Michelle is so forceful. Well I should have known based on the mom jeans he wore and his limp-wristed throw when he tried to throw out the first baseball at an MLB game. My four year old granddaughter could have done better.
Hopefully he’ll get around to transitioning soon. Another first!

Friday morning is one of my favorite times. I usually get to spend an hour or so in the home gym and I usually listen to the ZMan’s Friday podcast. And today was no exception. As I said I’m changing up my exercise routine so it wasn’t routine but I was still able to pay attention as the Voice of Saruman declaimed on the workings, or rather, the non-workings of the American political system.
But he changed it up a little and this time he played devil’s advocate and tried to describe what it would take to fix our political system. Or, more accurately, he explained what would happen if we tried. And I think he was relatively even-handed in his estimation of what it would take to change the Republican party into an honest representative of the American Right.
And then he ended off this discussion by talking about what happens if the Uni-party continues on, in full control of the country. He gives four alternatives.
I found the tenor of the whole discussion extremely moderate and reasonable. In fact, it occurred to me that the ZMan was risking his standing as a dweller on the fringe. Someone might accuse him of not being crazy. Hopefully, word won’t leak out.
Afterward as I mulled over his words, I continued with my repair of the lock on my sliding glass door. As I described the other day, the latch on the inside of the door broke off and the replacement handle I bought at the local hardware store didn’t fit. So, I went on line and bought a new latch. It was supposed to be a direct replacement but that was a lie. Now I’m going to buy a whole new set-up; handles, lock, latch mechanism and hardware and start from scratch. I anticipate a disaster. But at least temporarily I can lock the door at night to keep the werewolves, vampires and ghouls at bay. I think Camera Girl is starting to lose faith in my mechanical aptitude. Confidentially, so am I. I realized I had mislaid my claw hammer. I’ve had the thing for forty some odd years and I really don’t use it that often so I don’t have an excuse for losing it. I would think this is the first sign of dementia except it’s really the millionth episode starting in my early twenties. So maybe I’ll take a wait and see policy because I’m too lazy to do anything about it anyway.
Camera Girl and I started watching a tv series on FX called “The Old Man” with Jeff Bridges and John Lithgow. Bridges is a rogue CIA agent that has been hiding out for the last thirty years trying to live a normal life with his wife and daughter. Lithgow was his old handler who is now an FBI big wig who doesn’t want Bridges to be caught because it will expose his part in shady doings that went on when the Russians were at war in Afghanistan. So far (two episodes in), it’s very interesting and both of the leads are extremely interesting to watch. Hopefully it continues to impress us. We’re always short of good things on tv.
The ZMan’s podcast reinforced my recent feelings that we will be engulfed in this class struggle here in the West for a very long time and it is up to all of us and each of us on our side to strengthen the things we believe in and form as many links in the world to help our side survive the onslaught of the Left. And surprisingly, it left me feeling slightly calmer and happier than before I listened to it. Maybe it was his talk or maybe I’m reaching a better place with the status quo. Panic doesn’t seem to be productive.
Well, that’s enough for now. Have a great day.
