Hunter Biden and Bioweapons Labs in Ukraine?

After reading this article in the New York Post nothing can seem improbable any more.  So between bouts of smoking crack cocaine and indulging in demented sex with state funded prostitutes Hunter Biden managed to find the time to find funding for US bioweapons labs and hook them up with his friends at Burisma, the Ukrainian petroleum corporation.

This story which the Russians are trumpeting is corroborated in the e-mails found on the infamous Hunter Biden laptop.  You know, if nothing comes of these revelations then there truly is no hope for this country.  If our citizenry is so brain dead that they aren’t outraged to the point of revolt by these revelations then there’s no reason to think they ever will.

Our government is run by crooks.  And they’re not even smart crooks.  They’re caricatures of stupid gangsters.  But if we permit all of this then we’re an order of magnitude more stupid.  Words fail me.  Bring on the deluge.

Joe Biden Calls for Regime Change in Russia

Vladimir Putin is a ruthless war-mongering autocrat.  He is feared and loathed by millions.  But somehow Joe Biden manages to expose one of Putin’s positive traits.  Unlike Joe Biden he is not a pathologically lying weasel.  He means what he says.  And after listening for the last year to nothing but pathetic lies from Dementia Joe and his lackeys about every aspect of the train wreck that is Joe Biden’s America it’s almost refreshing to hear a dictator openly say that he is going to do something awful and frightening without pretending it’s something else.

Tonight, Biden gave a speech in Warsaw, Poland.  At the end he did one of his little play-acting riffs where he pretends to get angry and emotional and said, “For God’s sake, this man cannot remain in power.”  Well, beside the fact that it seems very unlikely that Joe Biden has any concern for God, I don’t see how Biden gassing off about Putin falling from power does the least good for the Ukrainians, the Poles or anyone else.

Then there are the hypocrisies.  Earlier in the speech he says, “A dictator bent on rebuilding an empire will never erase a people’s love for liberty.   Brutality will never grind down their will to be free.”  So, if this is true why are the Uighurs being ground down by their Chinese rulers and why is Joe Biden unwilling to help them or even call the Chinese out for this much greater brutality?  The answer of course is that Joe Biden makes a lot of money working with the Chinese government and the last thing he wants to do is anger his benefactors.  Alternatively, Joe Biden also makes a lot of money working with the Ukraine government and Russia’s invasion of Ukraine threatens that arrangement.  Therefore, he can separate good brutality from bad brutality.  The difference is good for Joe Biden and bad for Joe Biden.

So, let’s look at his fiery statement, “For God’s sake, this man cannot remain in power.”  That sounds a lot like a statement I made a few weeks ago when I said, “How are we going to survive with this man as president for three more years?   The words are slightly different but the underlying thought is that some intolerable outrage cannot continue.

And since we are Americans and the welfare of America is the proper subject for the people and the government of America to occupy itself with, I consider my statement more important to Americans than Biden’s concern for the fate of a corrupt kleptocracy in the Russian sphere of influence.

Russia doesn’t want the CIA concocting color revolutions in its back yard.  It would be like Russia fomenting a revolution to install an anti-American regime in Mexico and then placing ICBMs there.  We wouldn’t stand for it.  We’d bring the full force of the US military to bear against this regime and topple it.

Russia has seen the same thing happen along its border in the former Warsaw Pact countries of Poland and Romania and then the former Soviet republics of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.  Apparently, the Ukraine was the last straw.

The historical importance of the Ukraine in the Russian sense of nationality is great.  It’s even worse than my analogy with Mexico.  It would be more like if New England had been pried away from America and now the Chinese were making a deal to place missiles in Massachusetts.

But Biden is dishonest even in his lies.  He doesn’t intend to attack Russia head on.  He is wagging the dog to distract the American people from $5/gallon gasoline and $5/lb. hamburger meat.  He needs something to help Americans forget that he tried to bury us under vaccine mandates and that he has fanned inflation until it threatens to bankrupt our nation.

So, Joe Biden is calling for regime change in Russia.  What we really need is regime change in America.  The question is can we survive until it is complete in 2025.

Utah Overrides Gov Veto to Ban Transgender Sports Madness

Even though Utah’s Gov. Spencer Cox vetoed the anti-transgender sports bill, their House and Senate mustered the necessary 2/3 majority needed to override the veto.

Lately even red states like Utah are showing purple tinges when it comes to hot-button topics like trans-gender rights.  It’s good to see that even if their governor is a RINO at least there’s still a strong majority of legislators in Utah to bring sanity to the state.

25MAR2022 – OCF Update

Today was a fiction writing day, or rather reading day.  I’ve reached the 25% mark on the book and so I reread the thing to see if it was any good.  Surprisingly, I thought it was very good.  I would read it!  Of course 25% is just a beginning so there’s plenty of stuff to figure out and more characters to introduce but the story is defined and the feel of the book has been established.  And the ending is coming into sharper focus.  I think I’ve decided to end this first book with a definitive bang.  It means I will have upped the ante in a really big way but I think it’s the way to go.

I figured 25% was the correct point to make sure the book wasn’t terrible.  But it also tells me I’ll have to pick up the pace.  In fact one of my friends said I need to declare a finish date and stick to that.  That seemed harsh to me which means it’s probably true.  I just checked the start date of the document and I’ve been working on this thing for six months!  So I need to pick up the pace for sure.  My goal is to finish the first draft by June 30th.  That only three months but I feel I have to push myself.  That’s about 6,000 words a week which is a good amount but not impossible.  But what it does require is at least two days a week devoted just to writing.  So discipline will need to be instilled.  Unfortunately that is my weak suit.  Well growth is painful.

Other than that today, it’s been a pretty nice day here and we went for a walk in the woods.  Camera Girl found a dead mouse near the front porch and told me how bad she felt seeing it.  I reminded her that she’s terrified of mice and that the mouse’s family is out there eating her bird seeds that fall to the ground below her feeders and living in my tool shed.  This made her shudder and she walked away greatly conflicted.  Women suffer from emotional thinking which speaks well of their sentiments but serve them poorly when it comes to taking practical steps to deal with the world.  If I didn’t put my foot down we’d have racoons, opossums, foxes and deer lvivng on the porch and the animal food bill would break me.

I haven’t seen any interesting news today.  Just the same blah, blah, blah.  I’m sure Biden will say many stupid and incoherent things in Europe this week and Putin will be blamed for almost everything since original sin reached humanity but I haven’t detected anything new going on.  When I see something good I’ll put something out.  Till then enjoy the weekend.

The Bumper Sticker Slogan Post

Some people liked the idea of a 2022 Election Bumper Sticker.  My entry was:

Just Impeach the Dumbasses

But it occurred to me that polling the folks out there might be fun and might also uncover even better slogans.  So I propose to use this post to collect the reading audience’s choices in the comments and then I will put together a poll and try to get a wider audience to vote on the best slogan.  Democracy in action!

So go ahead and do your best.  Let’s see what kind of Madison Avenue inventiveness exists.  Eat your heart out Don Draper!

Impeach the Idiots! or ITI

Entrepreneurism is Not for the Lazy.  Or So They Say.

And what a shame for me!  As many who visit here know I am the self-professed, “Laziest Man on the Right.”  I enjoy nothing as much as procrastinating and enjoying life.  Of course, I prefer to think of myself as, “The Most Interesting Man in the World,” but I don’t have his killer fake Spanish accent.  Boy, that was a great advertising campaign.

But of late I have been doing a lot of research and laying the groundwork for a vast commercial undertaking.  Not since the early days of Kramerica Industries has the world seen such poorly planned and shamefully misdirected effort from someone who ostensibly is trying to get something done.

All at the same time, I’m starting a limited liability company (LLC), re-opening my PayPal account, assembling and post-processing my first group of high-resolution photo files, working on my first novel, assembling a fine art photography book and for reasons known only to PayPal buying the cheapest mobile phone plan in the world.  The last item has to do with the fact that PayPal no longer allows individuals to have a PayPal account without a cell phone.  Apparently Big Brother truly does live in Silicon Valley.

As noted, the efficiency of these efforts has been abysmal.  I have to redo each step at least three times because of my ignorance or poor preparation.  The people I contact, even the AI I interfaces with which I interact, seem to be straining not to yell at me to stop bothering them and just give up.  And being the empathetic fellow I am, I tend to agree with them.  And because of my ineptitude all of this effort should be doomed to massive failure and soul-searing disappointment.

And yet, I am heartily enthused and invigorated by the whole confusing mess.  Slowly and painfully, I’m learning the things I need to know to carry out the program.  As soon as I can get the phone thing resolved and the PayPal account up and running, I can load the photos on the commercial website.  And once the LLC is official, I can start paying the government taxes on whatever paltry profits I manage to pull in.

And this is only the beginning.  I hope to follow up on my first novel with the rest of a science fiction series and other writings of various types and lengths.  I have the often-mentioned unbridled enthusiasm and unjustified optimism.  Most people I have confided in about my mad dreams have warned me that I have literally zero chance of success in my endeavors.  They say that statistically it’s an incredible longshot.

I am undeterred.  For I have always been inexplicably lucky.  Not just a little lucky but almost eerily lucky.  Over the course of a fairly long life, I have almost invariably been unreasonably lucky just when I needed it the most.  Even when something bad happens to me something or someone unexpected always shows up and sets things right.  I’ve led a charmed existence.

So that’s what I’m betting on, that my luck will hold out again.  Deep down I know that one day fate will even up the score.  I assume it’ll be something horrendously unlikely or even preternatural.  I’m expecting a meteor strike or a lightning bolt to rub me out.  But when it comes, I’ll face that day whistling a happy tune.  I’ve had the luck that ten men could expect while expending almost no effort at all.  I sometimes wonder what I might have accomplished if I had added hard work to luck but probably it would have mucked things up completely.

So, here’s to the future and just a little more luck.

A Clear Headed Analysis of Zelensky’s Mistake

Ukrain’e President Zelensky is adored by the West.  Reporters and politicians practically sing his praises and vow to do whatever is needed to win his war for him.  But the realities of how he got into the truly awful predicament he’s in is not a story of statesmanship but one of terrible naivete.  Being a tv comedian may not be the background needed to navigate the space between nuclear superpowers.

I recommend this article to get a better understanding how Mr. Zelensky blundered his way into a disastrous war.

It comes down to a puppet for the American color revolution forces doing what he was told.  He may live to regret it if he is lucky.

Midterm Slogan: Impeach the Dumbasses

The Democrats and their boosters have settled on the dual strategy of blaming Putin for inflation and also telling Americans that downgrading their lives is the solution to poverty.  I saw a Bloomberg publication advising people who can’t pay their bills to:

  • Take the bus
  • Don’t buy in bulk
  • Try lentils instead of meat
  • Nobody said this would be fun

Brilliant!  Why didn’t I think of that?  I’ve got one.  Sell your blood.  Wonderful!

But it seems obvious that this opens a very good opportunity for the Republicans to be seen as the party that wants Americans not to be poor.  They can have a slogan like, “The Democrats want you to barely survive; The Republicans want you to thrive.”

It’s truly pathetic that McConnell and McCarthy haven’t already rolled out a campaign for November that targets Democrat voters.  They should harangue Democrats in all fifty states to provide enough votes in the Senate to convict both Biden and Harris of being dumbasses who have allowed the US economy to deteriorate to where Americans can’t buy meat for their kids.  We’d need sixty-seven votes in the Senate and that is probably a bridge too far but it would make a killer advertising campaign.  Imagine showing cuts of Biden and Harris spouting gibberish, graphs showing gas and food prices skyrocketing and then finish by saying, “Can we afford to wait three more years to get rid of Biden?  By then there won’t be anything left.  Vote Republican to get rid of the dumbasses.”

I think it has definite appeal.  One thing such a campaign strategy might do is sow dissension in Democrat ranks.  Democrat senators who are up for re-election will try to distance themselves from Biden and Harris.  Some might even agree with the campaign to help bolster their chances for re-election.  Even if we don’t get the sixty-seven votes in November there might be some senators up for re-election in 2024 who might work with the Republicans to get rid of Biden and Harris next year.

And what it will do is appeal to people’s desire to get out of the trap we’re in.  Who wants to hear that we have to wait until 2025 to see the last of Dementia Joe and the Nitwit?  Even if it doesn’t succeed it might get us a few more seats and those will help to offset poisonous fools like Romney.  Yeah, I like this idea.  I think I’ll have a flag made that says, “Impeach the Dumbasses.”  It’s not as inspirational as Make America Great Again or anything like that but it’s short, punchy and abusive which plays to my strengths.

I’ll fly the flag in the run-up to Election Day and have a barbecue to raise money for “Impeach the Dumbasses” bumper stickers.  Come to think of it, maybe I can have them made up by one of those web sites that make custom bumper stickers and sell them on the site.  You know, it’s sort of my patriotic duty to do it.  And I might even make a few bucks too. Win, win.

Update:  So there have been a few people interested in actually buying a bumper sticker.  If anyone knows of an on-line company that does a good job making these things cheaply and conveniently let me know.  Me and my big mouth!

In the Quiet of the Evening

Today was a pretty good day.  Knocked a couple of items off the to-do list, had some good meals, got some air outside.  Did a walkaround the house and yard.  The pond is a mess.  Lots of fallen branches and even a good-sized tree in the water.  The beaver’s dam is completely gone and the level of the water has fallen a couple of feet.  The wear and tear on the external woodwork of the house is moderate.  Some fenceposts will need repair.  Camera Girl was raking in her gardens, removing the eleven billion oak leaves that migrate in from the forest over the winter.  I was looking at the poison ivy vines that I still need to pull up (gotta get going on that!).  Saw a few birds and a frog and way too many flies for my liking.  Planted some seeds in indoor planters.  Spring is right on schedule.  Good start to the day.

Then I read some of the news items.  Wow!  The world truly is run by scoundrels and idiots.  Some of them, like Joe Biden, are both.  They’re running the country into the ground and doing anything and everything to try and point the finger of blame away from themselves.  The Ukraine, Hunter’s laptop, gas prices, food prices, a coming recession.  It’s a litany of bad news.  That’s a let-down.  But even bad news has its silver lining.  I noticed that Biden’s job approval rating sank five points over the last couple of days so his attempts to misdirect the blame for inflation to the Ukraine crisis hasn’t worked.  That’s a plus.  The New York Times has admitted what every intelligent person already knew, that the Hunter Biden laptop was legitimate.  Seems like the powers that be are preparing to deep six Dementia Joe.  That’s kind of good.  Sure, we still have to figure out how to get someone better in the White House but at least torpedoing a disaster like Biden is definitely a win.  You see, the news isn’t all bad.

So, shrugging off the news I get to work on my writing and turn out a post for the site and bang out a thousand words of fiction.  Now the day is back on course.  I look at the website stats for the last thirty days and I notice that DuckDuckGo has surpassed Google as the largest organic search source for the site.  And some of the other search engines are also catching up to Google.  This is very good news.  Google ignores all of my political and current events posts and only shows photography and review posts.  Obviously, that’s a problem.  DuckDuckGo has been featuring my political posts but even my review and photography stuff is breaking through there too.  All very good.  Still running into delays on the web business stuff I’m working on but it shouldn’t take more than a week or so to straighten that stuff out.  So, the weekend is ending on a high note.  And next week should be excellent.  Forecast is for every day from now on to be at least in the fifties with nighttime temps in the thirties.  Not exactly balmy but with a little luck no ice or snow on the horizon.

In the quiet of the evening, I have a chance to reflect on the day.  So, the world is what it is, but if you look at it the right way you can find the bright side and go about your business trying to improve your little corner of the world.  You do your work.  Fix the things that need fixing.  Make some progress.  Earn your daily bread.  Socialize with the people you care about.  Interact with everyone else as well as you can.  And end the day with the world slightly better than when you found it in the morning.  And if you have a hard time finding the improvement then make something up.  Celebrate the perfectly ordinary.  Reward yourself by playing your favorite old movie or whatever entertainment you prefer, make a bowl of popcorn and open a beer or whatever you drink and enjoy an hour and a half just because you need something to lift your spirits.  End the day on a positive note and look forward to something good coming along tomorrow.  And if it doesn’t come along, go out and find it.  Make your own good luck.  Search for the good.  Search for good people.  Enjoy your life.  That’s what it’s for.

School Vouchers Should be the Path Forward for Education in this Country

The public schools have become a hopeless trainwreck.  The best way I see for escaping this defective system is to provide any parent who wants to opt out of the local public school, with the dollar equivalent cost of the local public-school education as a voucher and let him find a better school.  This will serve two purposes.  It will better educate the youth of America and it will force the public schools to improve or wither away.

This will be an enormously expensive undertaking.  Currently the budget for primary and secondary public education is in the range of 750 billion dollars a year.  But really what it requires is the federal government to fund the initial outlay and then the local governments to repay the federal government for the children that do not attend their local public schools.  Of course, the public schools will become a smaller and smaller part of the education system and the states can figure out a way for the tax revenues that currently pay for education to be distributed directly to the parents instead of going through the federal government.  And with the competition from other schools the cost of education will most probably be lower than what the public schools currently cost the local towns and cities.  After all New York City has the most expensive public school system in the country on a per child basis but the achievement level of all but the few gifted schools ranges from mediocre to abysmal.  Competing with it on a dollar basis should be simple.

The outcome of allowing school choice in the United States would be the largest single increase in the intelligence of Americans since the space race pushed math and science education into the limelight back in the fifties and sixties.  Suddenly kids who had languished in terrible schools all around this country, especially in the cities, would find out that they had brains that actually worked.  And without the poison of the woke narrative being dripped into their heads kids might figure out that there was more to life than staring at their phones.  And with a real-world curriculum, kids and parents would have a common base of knowledge from which to understand each other.

So, this will never happen.  The school teachers are the most powerful voting block in the Democratic coalition.  Their privileges are jealously guarded by the recipients of their donations and votes.  And it would require tremendous voting change in this country to make school vouchers happen for the general population.  The public-school teachers know that if they have to compete against private schools, they’ll be forced to actually teach children instead of doing whatever it is they currently do.  That’s a gravy train they’ve been on for decades and they will do whatever it takes to keep it going.

But the only voting block bigger than the teachers’ unions is the parents of America.  Currently the mothers vote for the Democrats in a lopsided way.  If they ever came to their senses and voted for their children’s welfare instead of for their feminist vanity then there would be a chance of fixing things.  There have been the first stirrings of this in Virginia with the Youngkin revolt.  It would require an enormous shift to allow something like school vouchers to become law.  Because of this difficulty many people think it is more reasonable to reform the public schools but I see that as a false choice.  The inertia of the current population of teachers and administrators in the schools is an irresistible force that cannot be changed.  It can only be abandoned.
