Full Blown Trump Derangement Syndrome
The amount of projection and the lack of self-awareness is stunning. But the comedic value is very high. The whole cast of characters is here. The only ones missing are Obama and Biden. They even dug Hillary up somehow. She’s starting to look like the Crypt Keeper muppet.

What Are the Odds?
According to quantum mechanics (or is Stan Lee?) every time a subatomic particle has a choice of moving in one direction or another it spawns two separate realities. And taking all such choices together, it produces an infinity of separate realities (or universes) associated with these different futures that exist side by side. Now the Marvel Cinematic Universe has documented this highly scientific quantum behavior with a panoply of Spidermen in the multiverse. And for all I know they have added a few Spider-transmen to round things out. And because of the Kathleen Kennedy imperative (“PUT A CHICK IN IT AND MAKE HER LAME AND GAY”} there will need to be some Spiderwomen, spiderlesbians and hopefully BIPoC spidertrans-women but most especially Latinx spidertrans-lesbians. Maybe not in that order. After all one cannot constrain the artistic endeavor.
But thinking about all this quantum physics was incredibly stimulating. I started to imagine the multiverse of 2024 election outcomes and the futures it will spawn. For instance, in one universe Joe Biden is struck by lightning and it resets his brain so that he can speak English and walk down stairs without tumbling. But it also forces him to only speak the truth and so he’s assassinated by the FBI for disseminating the document that lists the FBI agents and assets and the scripts and roles they played in the January 6th frame-up.
In another universe Donald Trump declares himself a dictator for one day and has all the data files that the intelligence agencies have collected on Americans erased, reveals who killed Kennedy and forces MSNBC to broadcast Obama’s gay sex tapes during Black History Month.
In yet another universe the most unlikely set of outcomes all occur simultaneously and the American voters come to their senses in numbers so overwhelming that they elect huge majorities of Republicans to the House and Senate. And Trump wins 45 states and re-enters the White House with an ironclad mandate. And with that combination they undo the last fifty years of unconstitutional skullduggery and make the United States a free country for the first time in generations. They fire seventy percent of the federal employees. They cancel the Patriot Act. They eject tens of millions of illegal aliens. They balance the budget. And they impeach all the judges that were appointed by Clinton, Obama and Biden and replace them with the guys who were imprisoned during the January 6th witch hunt. And then they appoint Rudy Giuliani special prosecutor to clean up all the dirt that’s gone on since Obama came into office and have the trials located in Oklahoma. Crazy, right?
Of course, I expect the most likely outcome in this multiverse is the one we expect. That’s the one where crooked judges and prosecutors hand-pick leftist jurors and convict Donald Trump of bogus crimes in their kangaroo courts and then use millions of fraudulent ballots to win the 2024 presidential election and use that outcome to finish off what’s left of this once great nation. Of course.
But even in this most likely of all universes, there is still room for all of this to be the trigger for a cosmic backlash. You could imagine that all of this negative karma building on itself could warp the very fabric of space-time and spawn a reaction. I could imagine that the day after the “winners” of the fake elections are declared, the disgusted Republican voters stage a complete work stoppage across the whole country. Truckers stop delivering food to the cities and oil and gas isn’t delivered. And all the cops go out on strike. In fact, we all go out on strike. And after a couple of weeks when the LGBTQ national guard units admit they can’t drive trucks, Washington might fold and sues for mercy.
And that’s my favorite super hero ending. Sorry Deadpool.

Not so sure about voter hate not being a factor. I believe the 2016 election was not as much about love for Trump as it was about a majority of Americans despising Hillary.
Today’s Democrats are trying their best to whip up a seething hatred of Trump and among their core it works. Most liberals would give their firstborn to keep Trump out of office. But then, they have no problem with murdering their babies, anyhow.
The left is using the weaponized bureaucracy to try to get anything they can to keep him off the ballot. It might just work. If they keep Trump off by legal fiat and leave the Biden crime syndicate, I’ll lose all faith in the government and legal system.
The trick may not be to replace Biden at the convention, but to have him resign after the election, which they steal, with another. Harris would be a joke, even to the left who would love to have a malleable Black woman as President. Hillary might be able to blackmail them into appointing her as VP at the convention. Gavin is a strong contender as VP then have him step in when Biden is ushered out due to “health issues”. They would love to have Biden die in office to get sympathy votes, but he may not oblige.
Look for Joe to have health issues. I doubt he would actually resign. The left created a Frankenstein’s Monster with him. Once they get him in hospital for something serious the process of removing him from office will begin. While Hillary would be okay with an assassination and the left will murder people with impunity in prison, I doubt the left will assassinate a US president. Even Trump. If they manage to get Trump in prison, all bets are off. The left uses bananana Republic rules in prison. “Make him disappear”.
Grasping at Straws
At this time of the rolling year, it is more than usually desirable that we should make some slight provision for finding some positive straws to grasp at in order to stave off despair. And probably the likeliest item is just how awful the polls are for Biden. Outside of defense corporation C-suites you’d be hard pressed to find an encouraging word. He has mucked up almost everything he has touched. The man is as popular as smallpox. I guess that’s a negative positive straw.
I asked a couple of friends who would be on the November ballot and one said that Biden would be pulled right before the convention and replaced with Gavin Newsom. And the other told me that Donald Trump would be kept off the ballot by judges. And this fellow seemed relieved because he assumed that another Republican would easily beat Biden. I told him I disagreed. I said I thought that if Trump is forced off the ballot a large enough part of the Republican voters would stay home on election day to give Biden the win. I think this was a new thought for him. I’m not sure I convinced him but I think I gave him something to consider.
So many people are angry and confused by the endless failures that have become the hallmark of our government. And almost as bad is the absurd lies that emerge to paint an unrecognizable version of reality.
Such as:
“We are living through the strongest economy in history. Wealth and prosperity abound. Life here is full of choices and freedom that provide everyone with fulfillment and joy. Big Brother loves you. Joe Biden is vigorous and smart. Ukraine is winning the war. We’ve always been at war with East Asia.”
They’re all such obvious lies that it seems reasonable that most of the country will see through them and punish the ones responsible for the lies and for the underlying problems. So, I grasp at the straw that Biden is so hated that he will be voted out in November. But it’s just a wish. It’s just a hope. It’s not the solution to an equation.
But isn’t life mostly a grasping at straws? We spend our time stumbling around in the dark trying to outguess the stock market or the labor market. We place our bets on a career or an investment strategy or a politician. Sometimes we win. If we win enough times, we begin to think winning is the norm. That was what it was like in the eighties and nineties in America. It felt like winning was how the world worked. But then came the turn of the millennium and things changed.
The people in charge had plans of their own for us and it didn’t involve winning. More like skinning. We were way too happy and prosperous. It was time to let the rest of the world win. And ever since it’s been losing. Losing prosperity, freedoms and self-respect.
Well, now we’re grasping at straws trying to find a way back to what we had. So far it hasn’t worked. Maybe the only thing that’s improved is we know where not to look. It feels futile but we have no choice. The new reality is intolerable and the memory of what we had before is still there. So, we go on.
Throw the Dice One More Time
Not too many years ago I thought that all conspiracy theories were absurd. JFK, RFK, 9/11, Pearl Harbor. How could all these absurd things be true? But after all the goings on that have happened in the last few years, if I can think of a government agency that might benefit from a covert operation to misdirect the American people I’ll be just as likely to believe it as not.
The things that went on in 2020/2021 were madness and they were directed by various parts of our government. Various blue state governments and the FBI sat back and watched anarchists travel from state to state to orchestrate riots that destroyed billions of dollars of property and claimed lives.
The COVID lockdowns were once again a joint effort between blue state governments and Anthony Fauci to shut down our economy and create an excuse for absentee and mail-in voting that allowed the local Democrats to rig the presidential elections. These things were done right in front of our eyes. Very little effort was put into disguising the methods or the intent of these actions.
A lot has happened in the last three years. Biden and his “build back better” grift has done a real number on the economy. Inflation has been ignited and the results have not been lost on the American public. Dementia Joe keeps telling everyone what a great economy it is but when the cost of everything has doubled it’s kind of hard to convince people that things have never been better.
And in fact, it’s finally soaked into his bone-head that he won’t be able to make the sale. There are just too many things wrong to allow the usual Democrat shuffle. So, they’re looking for some other angle to make his election seem plausible.
In fact, it’s gotten so bad that in a recent presidential poll Joe was losing among key Democrat constituencies like Hispanics and women to Donald Trump! But that brings me to the point of this post. With Joe’s poll numbers dangerously low, is there any chance that the boys would allow Trump to win?
You may think this is a trivial question. I don’t think it is. The stakes keep getting higher on both the up and down sides of this gamble. The economy is really starting to melt down. The foreign policy landscape is getting pretty scary. And the breakdown of law and order is even starting to frighten urban Democrats. Will the fixers decide to steal one more election and hope things will turn around?
It’s starting to look like a degenerate gambler that’s already lost his life savings and is about to mortgage his house to double down for one more throw of the dice. So, would they go to ludicrous lengths to fake an election win? Will the wildly unpopular Joe Biden somehow find five or ten million extra votes just to let this charade go on until 2028? And do they even want to?
As I said, the stakes are already pretty high. Trump has said that he is going to fire many of his enemies in the Justice and State departments and in fact many other areas of the federal bureaucracy. So, rigging an election may be the only way for these people to hold onto their power and comfortable lifestyles. But at the same time, the mood of the public is becoming decidedly ugly toward what is going on in Washington. Do they really despise the opinion of the American electorate so thoroughly that thwarting the will of the people is now of no consequence in their calculus?
So, there’s the question? At this point will they go to any lengths to keep themselves in power?
I can’t make up my mind but my gut says yes. They’ve come this far and there’s no going back. If the federal bureaucracy is ever cleaned out these people in the Justice Department run the risk of prison. If anyone ever gives whistleblower evidence to honest prosecutors and judges the bad guys would end up with life sentences at best. So, I guess come November we’ll see a re-run of 2020. Joe Biden will be re-elected by millions and Donald Trump will go to prison.
And that will be the clear end of the legitimacy of American elections. At that point a different way of looking at life in America will be needed by our side. At the moment I do not know what it will be.
Fear and Loathing Wrapped Up in a Box
Anyone who claims to know incontestably who will be sworn in as president in January of 2025 is either delusional or a Bond villain who can control the future through five-dimensional chess manipulation of world events. The rest of us can just fuss and fret. But one thing is absolutely true. The pundits on the Left have completely lost their minds about the current polls. All and sundry are writing articles that sound like they have foam spouting from their noses, mouths and ears, while screeching to the heavens that Donald Trump is the bastard love-child of Vlad the Impaler and Catherine the Great and that he will swill the blood of innocents and pile up mountains of Leftists’ skulls around the White House.
Now granted, I could only wish this were true. Even the idea of Nancy Pelosi and OAC lashed on the pillory makes my mouth water. But alas, none of their rabid imaginings is even slightly accurate. Trump is a conventional American citizen. His delusions of grandeur are of the monetary variety. He would like to be much wealthier than he is but he has no blood lust. Mores the pity.
For the most part these dire predictions of a Caesarian coup d’état are a scare tactic meant to frighten voters into seeing Dementia Joe as the lesser of two evils. And I have to give them credit. The sheer volume of their caterwauling has been impressive. It seems like the Atlantic has devoted all their resources to seeing just how many separate “authors” they can convince to provide these hysterical hit pieces on the subject. And the Washington Post and the New York Times are not far behind in the project. My favorite is Joe Scarborough ranting about how Joe Biden is the friend of “Big Oil” and therefore Trump’s promise to “drill baby drill” is an empty one because we’re already doing everything that can be done to bring down the price of oil. Morning Joe in this clip is apoplectic. When his demented partner Mika Brzezinski tries to interject a comment, it looked like he wanted to slap her to keep from being interrupted. But, so what? What good does it do that these people are bouncing off the walls and spinning out of control?
Well, no physical good. None of us can put money in the bank from it. It doesn’t shorten Joe Biden’s term in office. Certainly not. But there is such a thing as schadenfreude. There is a satisfaction that can be had from watching the people who hate you, suffer, even if the suffering is merely baseless psychotic panic. It’s still fun. In fact, maybe it’s even more fun because it’s completely a figment of their fevered imaginations.
Now in a way it’s not completely baseless panic. Some of it is a flashback to election night 2016 when against all odds Hillary Clinton went down in flames. I remember Rachel Maddow and such other idiots as Miley Cyrus screeching and sobbing and mourning the end of the world; “It was her turn!” The idea of Trump coming back haunts their dreams and frightens them out of their tiny wits. So, imagining that their fear is a well founded one based on Trump’s bottomless evil plans to destroy “our democracy” makes sense of their fear.
So even though nothing tangible accrues to me by reading these screeds I read them for the pure enjoyment of experiencing the fear of these awful people. So, all you lefty scribes, keep it coming. It’s the nicest Christmas present you could give me. Ho, ho, ho.
The Fisking of Kagan 123
My favorite author of Trump-happily-ever-after election propaganda is now Robert Kagan of the Washington Post. You may ask yourself, “Has photog gone mad? Isn’t Robert Kagan part of the neo-con Kagan family that runs the Biden State Department?” Why yes, he is. But he’s just written a column that would bring tears of joy to the eyes of any Trump voter who reads it. I’ll demonstrate.
“Let’s stop the wishful thinking and face the stark reality: There is a clear path to dictatorship in the United States, and it is getting shorter every day.”
How’s that for a start?
“In 13 weeks, Donald Trump will have locked up the Republican nomination. In the RealClearPolitics poll average (for the period from Nov. 9 to 20), Trump leads his nearest competitor by 47 points and leads the rest of the field combined by 27 points. The idea that he is unelectable in the general election is nonsense — he is tied or ahead of President Biden in all the latest polls — stripping other Republican challengers of their own stated reasons for existence. The fact that many Americans might prefer other candidates, much ballyhooed by such political sages as Karl Rove, will soon become irrelevant when millions of Republican voters turn out to choose the person whom no one allegedly wants.”
Pretty good right?
“The magical-thinking phase is ending. Barring some miracle, Trump will soon be the presumptive Republican nominee for president. When that happens, there will be a swift and dramatic shift in the political power dynamic, in his favor.”

In conservative, anti-liberal tyrannies, ordinary people face all kinds of limitations on their freedoms, but it is a problem for them only to the degree that they value those freedoms, and many people do not. The fact that this tyranny will depend entirely on the whims of one man will mean that Americans’ rights will be conditional rather than guaranteed. But if most Americans can go about their daily business, they might not care, just as many Russians and Hungarians do not care.”
Gosh, it sounds so good. Can it be true?
“Should Trump be successful in launching a campaign of persecution and the opposition prove powerless to stop it, then the nation will have begun an irreversible descent into dictatorship. With each passing day, it will become harder and more dangerous to stop it by any means, legal or illegal. Try to imagine what it will be like running for office on an opposition ticket in such an environment. In theory, the midterm elections in 2026 might hold hope for a Democratic comeback, but won’t Trump use his considerable powers, both legal and illegal, to prevent that? Trump insists and no doubt believes that the current administration corruptly used the justice system to try to prevent his reelection. Will he not consider himself justified in doing the same once he has all the power? He has, of course, already promised to do exactly that: to use the powers of his office to persecute anyone who dares challenge him.”
Yes! Yes! He must!
“This is the trajectory we are on now. Is descent into dictatorship inevitable? No. Nothing in history is inevitable. Unforeseen events change trajectories. Readers of this essay will no doubt list all the ways in which it is arguably too pessimistic and doesn’t take sufficient account of this or that alternative possibility. Maybe, despite everything, Trump won’t win. Maybe the coin flip will come up heads and we’ll all be safe. And maybe even if he does win, he won’t do any of the things he says he’s going to do. You may be comforted by this if you choose.”
No! No! Dictatorship, we must have dictatorship!

And there’s a whole lot more of this. Thousands and thousands of words. And all of it unintentionally hilarious. Oh, if only life could imitate this Kagan art. What a wonderful world it would be. Adam Schiff and Nancy Pelosi wearing those old timey striped prison outfits and General Milley in front of firing squad for his treasonous words to the Chinese military. But alas, the fevered imaginings of Kagan are just that. There will be no pogroms. No elected or career government officials will go to the wall. In fact, we’ll be hard-pressed to get anything done in the unlikely case that Donald Trump returns to the White House in 2025.
But I still want to thank Mr. Kagan for this wonderful bit of fantasy. I needed a good laugh. Reading his overheated imaginings was a hoot. Donald Trump as a combination of Julius Caesar, Napoleon, Hitler and Joseph Stalin was wonderful. He even managed to get the asteroid from the movie Armageddon into the act. And poor Bruce Willis can’t help us now.
But all good things must come to an end. We can’t forget that in the real-world people are still in prison awaiting trial for something that happened three years ago when they trespassed in a government building like every other Lefty has done for decades. We still have Dementia Joe crushing our lives under a blizzard of stupid directives that make everything from food to rent too expensive to afford.
And we still live in a country where fake news and fake elections mean fake democracy is the reality we live under. So, all of this sound and fury about a man who basically is just a middle of the road New York Republican who is trying to keep our globalist elite from dispossessing the middle class and replacing them with tens of millions of third world refugees is a little bit ridiculous. All it shows is that actual democracy cannot be allowed to happen in Barack Obama’s America.
But it’s good to see that Democrats can somehow manage to pretend that somehow, they are the ones being persecuted. Well done, Bob, you creep.
If Trump Wins in November, Then What?
Let’s suppose that the economy continues to unravel and the misery index spikes. Now maybe the masterminds, among the powers that be, decide that letting Trump clean up the mess would actually be smarter than owning it. So, they unfortify democracy temporarily in Philadelphia and Detroit and, miracle of miracles, Trump wins.
Then what?
Of course, for a few months the dirt people will be dancing in the streets. The mockery of Biden and all of the Democrats will be unrelenting. And all kinds of brave talk will be heard about “draining the swamp” and “cleaning out the FBI.”
And then what?
Truth be told, maybe a whole lot of nothing. Trump has said he intends to fire all of the disloyal FBI and Justice Department officials who wrecked his presidency. In order to do any of that he will need a filibuster-proof senate majority. And even then, the lower courts will fight him tooth and nail and we would probably see nefarious action by the intelligence agencies and the Justice Department to attack Trump’s lieutenants and even himself.
And even if he has the Congress to pass these measures, he will be juggling restoring the country to solvency along with this delousing program. And because fixing the economy is a very difficult job, he has to get all this done in two years. If he doesn’t, he’ll surely lose the Congress in the mid-terms. And nothing of note will happen after that. So, if Trump is elected, he must hit the ground running and do all of his hatchet work right from day one.
As daunting as that sounds it’s also kind of bracing. To me it sounds like he has no choice but to go to the nuclear option from the git go. It would be like a right-wing New Deal or Great Society sized effort. And since this is a one-shot deal, they could do things that haven’t been contemplated in decades. They could cancel all kinds of defense appropriations for useless weapons systems and literally and not figuratively close down whole agencies. How many times have we heard about closing down the Education Department or the FBI and absolutely nothing has come of it. But if the will were there then it could be done for a short window of time. And for Trump eliminating the FBI and firing most of the Justice Department is almost a case of self-defense. Because if they’re still in charge when he finishes his term, they will imprison him for the rest of his life and go after everyone in his sphere of friends.
You notice that all of this is built on a pile of ifs. The biggest one is that the people running the country decide that it’s time for the Republicans to clean up the Democrats’ mess. And it also assumes a Republican Congress wouldn’t just stab Trump in the back again as soon as he was in the White House. Based on past performance that is the likeliest case. But who knows? Mitch McConnell might drop dead and if the economy continues to go south there might come a point where even the degenerates who inhabit congress might be willing to play ball with Trump just to save their own hides from the mob. After all, we’re getting closer and closer to French Revolution territory every single day that Joe Biden drives this country off a cliff. If the timing is just right, we might see something real happen in November.
Or maybe we’ll see nothing at all.

This is an old friend. A person who has worked union jobs their entire life.
They asked if I planned to retire anytime soon.
I replied that, had they asked me that in 2019 I would have told them I’d be retired now.
But since the last presidential election, my 401K is in the shitter and everything is a hell of a lot more expensive so retirement is not an option.
(I phrased it this way because I knew they were liberal.)
“Well, the market goes up and the market goes down.” was the reply.
I pointed out that this was the first time the market was down while inflation was skyrocketing.
They gave the standard talking point that inflation was down now.
I explained that the rate of inflation was down, but the prices had not come down and were substantially higher than they were 4 years ago.
