Ah, There’s No One Like the ZMan to Twist the Knife

Here my favorite Right Dissident revels in Liz Cheney’s fall from mediocrity. My favorite bit is:

This week the odious Liz Cheney is expected to be removed from her position as conference chair. She was put in that position because her father, the warmongering lunatic Dick Cheney, used his connections to get her in the House and then into the leadership of the conference. Like all ne’er-do-well children of successful politicians, Liz Cheney has a serious case of entitlement. Instead of going out with dignity, she embarrassed herself one last time with a tantrum on the House floor.

Read and laugh.

It’s Official, Cheney Got the Boot!

In a move sure to sadden every NeverTrumper out there Liz Cheney was ousted from her cushy position as Republican House Conference Chaircritter.  I assume she will have to give up the prestigious, spacious digs that the leadership critters get and instead be dropped into GenPop with the rest of the animals inhabiting Congress.  Now she’ll have to learn to make a shiv and use it to fight for cigarettes and position in the slop line at lunch.  Well, she looks pretty tough.  She’ll survive and even thrive.  Kinzinger will become her toady and she can always become a snitch for Warden Pelosi.

Some have speculated that she may switch sides and become a Democrat.  Sure why not?

Anyway, the countdown begins for her ouster in the Wyoming Republican Primary sometime next year.  Bye, bye Liz.

Merging Identity Politics with Color Blind Policies

The Dissident Right’s agenda is defined by two facts that they broadcast pretty constantly.  One is that the United States will soon be a minority majority voting population.  The other is that we are not going to vote our way out of the Left’s control.

The demographics of the first assertion seem very likely.  The second proposition revolves around the fact that other ethnicities will vote their own self interests and that they will be convinced that the Democrat agenda represents those self-interests.  I’m not going to state categorically that they are wrong on this second point.  After all, the Democrats get close to 90% of the black vote and the majority of the other non-white ethnic votes.  But even if we despair of winning the national vote for President, within the swing states it seems worthwhile to look at how the ethnic vote could be added to a coalition.

The first thing that should be admitted is that prying the black vote away from the Democrats, even in a Red State is probably an impossibility, at least for the foreseeable future.  And with the recent polarization caused by BLM and Antifa the real question concerning the black population is whether they will be willing to live peaceably with their neighbors at all.  But let’s look at the rest of the ethnic populations.

While it is true that the Democrats have managed to coopt the votes of the Asian and Latino voters pretty successfully in the past it is worth thinking about what the current political realities mean for this existing pattern.  And the woke political policies I mean to concentrate on is the current campaign to delegitimize the police and the reverse discrimination tactic called equity.

First the police.  Even in places like Portland OR and Minneapolis MN where the majority of the citizens are hopeless bug men who yearn for a society where muggers, rapists and murderers are judged not by their crimes but by the color of their skins I bet there is a very healthy sized population of normal people who yearn to escape from the madness of BLM protests and the associated lawless reign of terror.  And not so surprisingly I bet there are plenty of Asian and Latino people among them who wish this nightmare would end and life would return to normal.  And of course, there are black people living in this mess who also wish it would end but they’re stuck in their communities and that’s a problem for another day.  To my way of thinking the political message that should be broadcast to the ethnic communities is that living in a woke community means law enforcement cannot restrain the threat from criminals in the black community.

Next comes equity.  The easiest piece of equity to target is what it means for education.  The schools will be dumbed down to avoid “white supremacist ideas” like 2 + 2 = 4.  Some people will claim that only the Asian parents will respond to this second condition but I feel that even many Latino parents are unhappy with the prospect of sending their kids to be taught mush instead of STEM.  After all, even those illegals from Guatemala come here because there’s money to be made.  And they know that education is the key to advancement.

The reason this strategy should work with the non-black minority communities is because woke policies cater almost exclusively to one population, blacks.  And because of this it disadvantages all the rest of the ethnic groups, not just whites.  What other group benefits from black criminals being allowed to rampage through a city.  None.  Everyone else pays the price and it is a steep one.  A clever politician should be able to sell an anti-equity platform to everyone but the black population.

But let’s say that in the swing states the minorities stubbornly cling to the Democrat woke alliance.  Then it is doubly important that the Red States clearly declare that color blind impartiality is the rule for all state-run activities.  In fact, now that the feds and the Blue States have gone all in for “equity” it’s the perfect time to push things back all the way to total color blindness.  In other words, no more reverse discrimination, no more affirmative action, no more quotas, no nothing.  Push back is the right thing at this point.

So that’s the way I think these things should go.  But to do any of this we need real leaders with courage and brains.  We probably should recruit the Wizard of Oz to provide the gifts he gave the Cowardly Lion and the Scarecrow to all the Red State governors and legislators.  And while he’s at it he might as well give them a heart too.

RINO-ectomy or Creative Spite

So, House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy stated pretty openly that at a Republican House Conference being held this week he will allow Liz Cheney to be replaced by Rep. Elise Stefanik.  Now don’t get me wrong.  I’ve heard nothing but bad things about Stefanik.  She’s just another Congress critter that cares nothing about me or you.  But she knows which side her bread is buttered on and that Donald Trump is the one handing out the butter.  So, she’ll keep her mouth shut and not help the Democrats when they’re going after our side.

To me, the only thing that makes any of this interesting is that I am a great adherent of the concept of the vendetta.  Basically, it’s a genetic and cultural predisposition.  The idea of just revenge or even spite is one of my primary motivations nowadays.

I’m of the opinion that we are not likely to prevail over the progressives in the federal elections ever again.  But what we can do is punish the quislings who got us here.  People like Liz Cheney and Mitt Romney and Lisa Murkowski are our enemies.  They have damaged this country and will continue to do so for as long as they are allowed to represent us.  Kicking them out of office is a sacred duty but more than that, it is a schadenfreudian delight.  Since they’re not technically Democrats they aren’t going to be offered the sinecures that get handed out to friends of the Deep State.  Liz will have to settle for a spot on a crappy neo-con think tank and maybe some face time on CNN.  Lisa Murkowski will be forced to become a deck swab on an Alaskan king crab trawler.  And Mitt Romney will become a male model for dental implant commercials.  And that is as it should be.  These are terrible people.  Discomfiting them is a good thing.  And if I get a good laugh when it happens that’s just karma doing its job.

I’m under no illusions that we have the votes that will be needed to beat the Democrats at the ballot box.  They have already shown that they will commit massive fraud to get their way.  Until we are willing to say no to their unconstitutional tyranny, we will continue to lose ground in the culture wars and everywhere else.

But at least, at the very bare minimum, we must not let traitors and grifters give away our votes in the halls of Washington.  George Bush I, George Bush II, John McCain, Mitt Romney and if they’d had their way, JEB! Bush were who we were given to be our representatives in the White House.  They were supposed to be conservatives.  It only takes a cursory look at their records to know that not only weren’t they conservatives, they don’t even know what conservative means.

I think the House conference meeting is Wednesday.  If it’s on CSPAN I’ll make a point to watch it live.  I’ll pop some corn.  It should be wonderful.  And next year when all ten of the house reps who voted to impeach President Trump, are up for re-election I’ll be watching to see how they do in their primaries.  If they lose in their primaries, I’m not particularly interested in whether the Republicans retain the seat.  I mean, it would be nice but as I said I don’t think we’ll vote our way out of this.  But just knowing that these clowns will have to get jobs will bring a smile to my face.  And it will be good for our politics.  Who knows?  Maybe someday the Republicans will become known as the formerly stupid party.

The COVID Curse is Over

Today I spent the day with my family.  No masks, no outdoor seating, no nothing.  I spent the day with my children and their families.  I spent hours with my grandchildren and I caught up with them about school and their hobbies and other things like what they were reading.  And with the two youngest I played a game of catch that went on for a couple of hours.  It was exhausting and wonderful.  And then we had a grand meal.  My son in law let my daughter relax for Mother’s Day and went outside and grilled steaks and salmon and we had a feast.  And then we had some excellent Italian pastries and coffee.

And I sat down after dinner and talked to my oldest grandson who is a junior in high school and asked him about his math classes and he said he is doing well in calculus.  He is much like me and I think he will end up in engineering or computer science.  And we discussed some of his other activities.  He has a 3D printer that I funded and I was glad to hear that he has learned how to replace the parts that wear out and make the adjustments needed to keep it working well.  Later I spoke with my daughter and she told me about the straight A’s her son has been getting in math.  And that made me happier than anything.  I guessed that he would have academic abilities but I was afraid he would also have inherited from me a disregard for studying.  I always depended on just raw ability to barely squeak by without doing anything but last-minute cramming.  Hearing that he had picked up some discipline was music to my ears.

And I spoke with my next oldest grandson.  He had grown a lot over the last year and now was almost as tall as his older brother.  And we talked about his school sports.  He loves playing soccer and basketball and now he’s added tennis to his games.  He was happy about being able to play again now that school was returning to normal.  I’ve seen him play and he has great enthusiasm and talent.  And he was so personable and cheerful.  That was personal growth and great to see.

The other two boys, the little guys were live wires and played and bickered with each other and gave me the chance to chide them about their outlaw behavior.  We talked about dinosaurs and giant ants and ninjas.  Of course.

I knew I missed all these things during this insane lockdown but now I remembered exactly what they felt like.  Camera Girl and I were smiling all the way home and we went on and on about how good it was to see everyone and how we would have a pool party for the kids with a barbecue very soon.

And I think how much we were robbed of in the last year.  Our children were cheated out of a year of their education.  Our neighbors were cheated out of the businesses they had built up over the course of a lifetime.  Our country was cheated out of the freedoms that have been the birthright of this country for centuries.  And all of us were cheated out of the government we voted for.

All of this was done under the false pretense that COVID was a deadly plague that threatened everyone.  We were lied to and bullied into giving up all these things and then humiliated into walking around with a pathetic mask that was supposedly keeping away the invisible invader.  We had to forego human contact with those we cared for the most.  Even those who actually did die from the virus had to die alone in a hospital surrounded by masked strangers.

But now we see that the masks did nothing and all the same people lived or died regardless of these useless gestures.  In Florida the people were freed from the masks and other restrictions and they had lower death rates than New York where everyone remained locked down for a year.  And now maybe people will start to wake up from this charade and hold responsible those who perpetrated this fraud on us.  Newsom and Cuomo and Fauci are the names that stand out.  But there are dozens of governors and mayors who locked up their people and enjoyed their little reign of terror.  They locked up innocent people but let the BLM gangsters have free rein to form mobs of people and terrorize the hard-working people of their states.

So, the nonsense about COVID has stopped scaring people.  Now we have to decide if we are going to get our lives back the way they were.  If we can’t do that then we’re slaves here and should look around for a better place to live.
