Make a Start, Make a Start

This is a good time to get things going.  The puppet masters are loosening the strings for a while.  The puppets are exhausted.  Probably even the FBI and Google are tired of spying on normal people and want a few weeks to have a barbecue and reconnect with their pod families.  Everyone wants a breather.  Even DOTUS* probably needs to be hung in a damp darkened closet and allowed to absorb more mold spores before he goes on simulating intelligent life.

And we need to do the same.  Go out and enjoy your life and enjoy the season and revel in having friends and family that you can at least see and hold.  Hug that grandchild and slap the back of your brother or nephew.  Play a game of baseball catch.  Have a barbecue and eat way too much, really bad food.  Do all those things.  You deserve it.

But do one more thing.  Remember that all this will happen again.  These people control you and they will disrupt your life again because it gives them the control they need to make things go in the direction that benefits them.  And because this is just a breather, remember to use it to make the changes that will make you less vulnerable to the next crisis.

Maybe it’s changing jobs to escape a dead-end situation because equity now means no more advancement for you based on the color of your skin.  Or maybe it’s moving to a freer state or country because you are tired of being told that you are an aggressor because your ancestors weren’t the right shade.  Or maybe it’s time to change careers because there’s no better time than now to make the leap.  Or maybe it’s just time to take stock of your life and decide what personal changes you want or need to make to flourish.  Maybe lose some weight and get in shape.  Take up a sport with some friends.  Dump some bad habits.  Dump some bad friends or even relatives that make your life a misery.  Maybe rethink your philosophy on life or even think about God.

Now, don’t get me wrong.  “Rome wasn’t built in a day.”  But the other side of that coin is, “A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.”  So, make a start.  Sit down, take stock and decide what are the highest priorities on your personal to-do list and figure out how to make step one on that item, your highest priority.  Then do it.  Then figure out steps two through two hundred and figure out a system to make it happen.  Sure, you might find that the devil is in the details and you’ll have to change the final goal.  That’s just reality.  If you find yourself spending time figuring out hard problems, that means you’re making progress.  Important things are usually complicated and difficult.  But you’re doing the work.  Bravo.  The trick is to steal a little time every day to accomplish something on the project.  Make it happen.  Don’t dither, don’t put it off for another time.  There may not be another time.  Think about your life as a finite pile of sand and don’t use it up without doing what you think is your destiny.  Even if you fail, the effort is your will made manifest.  It’s your challenge shouted out to the sky.  A bang instead of a whimper.

And my saying that today was what I wanted to do.  Not everything I want to get done today.  I have a plotting problem in my story that’s got me stumped.  But that’s a different bucket.  I wanted to get this out.  And I have!

Morton Has a New Post – Never Again – Standing Up to The Oligarchy

Max Morton is a good writer and has interesting things to say.  In his new article he looks back to the Nazi othering of the Jews and other enemies of the Reich and compares it to the Left’s use of BLM and Antifa to target normal White people as their “other.”

The piece is well written and demonstrates how setting up an internal enemy allows the powerful to divide and conquer and keep the gravy train moving along for the oligarchs.

He finishes off by saying that those who are obeying the oligarchs and attacking the Left’s enemies should come to their senses and join forces with us.  It’s a nice sentiment but I think the Left has its constituents and they are pretty bought in.

What it does tell me is that instead of counter-attacking the useful idiots the more useful strategy is attacking the oligarchs directly.  Go after their money.  That is their primary concern.  Destroy that and you destroy them.  The question is how.

Slate Says Arizona Recount “Crazy.” They Must Be Doing Something Right

I read most of this wall of words report from Slate magazine.  They seem kind of scared that the result will show that Joe Biden lost Arizona.

The forensic audit is apparently looking at more than just the ballot choice for president.  I guess they’re looking for evidence of large scale fake ballots.  They’re looking for evidence of mass produced ballots.  Like one person filling out thousands of ballots.  Hey that sounds smart.  It should be interesting to see what comes of this.

If it does show that Trump should have won Arizona , then it will be more likely that other states will look at their results.  Pennsylvania would be especially interesting because I think there the fraud was most egregious.

Now, it’s not completely assured that fraud can be proved.  If the riggers were even semi-intelligent they would have made sure that their tracks were covered.  But that’s a big “if.”

The count will be complete this month so we’ll know soon whether anything will come of this.

Unmask!  Unmask!

Camera Girl has returned from the grocery store and miracle of miracles, the masks are gone.  So are the six-foot spacing rules and the arrows to tell you which direction you have to walk.  All in one fell swoop all those wonderfully comforting shackles have been removed!

I’ll have to go see if this has become general when I go to the hardware store to get some supplies to help me clean out my lawnmower carburetor.  But the report is that some hard-core maskers are refusing to let go.  This follows on the publication of such thoughtful crap as this gem entitled, “Excuse Me If I’m Not Ready to Unmask.”  So, these losers are going to walk around with that ridiculous scrap of fiber over their mouths and noses forever.  That really is a great metaphor for the religious fervor these idiots are exhibiting over something that everyone else has already learned is stupid.  Now that it’s good and hot it will be comical to watch these boobs hyperventilate as they try to breath in the stultifying environment they’ve senselessly maintained.

I wonder if that prize turkey Dementia Joe will continue to show up in videos wearing his black mask and huskily exclaim “Mask up!  Mask up!  It’s your patriotic duty!  Otherwise, you’ll pay the price!”  When and if he survives his time in office I wonder if “Doctor” Jill will sell off his still living carcass as an exhibit at Madame Tussaud’s in Washington, D.C. where crowds can push a button and an electric jolt will prompt him to utter his tag line “Mask up, mask up!” on command.

Anyway, the question that remains is whether we will have to go through this whole charade again in October when Pfizer will want to sell the federal government another ten billion dollars of vaccines for our own good.  It will be interesting to see if the smarter states just say no to the circus and throw Joe the finger.  Either way we have one more indication that our country is no longer the land of the free and the home of the brave.  We’re frightened slaves who cower at the crack of the whip and walk with heads bowed and eyes averted when the Deep State says so.  We allow our children to be indoctrinated with the lie that their families are evil people who deserve to be punished and dispossessed of all they worked for.

I’ll know that there is hope when the master says jump and someone finally tells him no.  Tells him no and makes it stick.  That’s the day I’ll feel some hope for this sad remnant of America.  Until then at least I can breath easy for now.  Thank you, Big Brother.

Left Says, “Stop Being Mean to Liz Cheney!”

Oh no!  Slate says if we kick Liz Cheney out of the Republican Party we’ll never win again!  What we gonna do?

I love these brilliant studies that show that that a third of a fifth of republican voters who don’t want to see Cheney kicked to the curb might vote for a Democrat in 2022.  What kind of a spineless loser do you have to be to be scared by that prospect?  Good!  If we have to win with Liz Cheney I’d rather go somewhere else where the people aren’t pusillanimous worms.  Let’s call Cheney the canary in the mine.  If the voters still think she’s on the Right then we deserve to lose anyway.  Do we need to take political strategy advice from Slate?

Only read the linked article if you have  strong stomach.  What’s next?  The Return of JEB! ?

Last Man Standing – Thoughts on the Last Episode of the Series – A Television Review

Back in January 2021 I wrote a review of the last season of “Last Man Standing” that was beginning at that time and I said the show was unwatchable.  And it was, but being the stubborn fool that I am, I decided to watch the final season as a lesson to myself.  And as predicted it was unbearable.  Sure, every once in a while, Tim Allen would inject a funny moment.  But the overall unfunny, bland, bad writing, the trivial plot elements and emasculated male characters was beyond awful.

But I stuck it out until the bitter end and I’m glad I did.  Because in the last half of the final “double episode” Tim Allen injected a plot element that was an open metaphor for the hijacking of his series by the network.  The story element was that Mike’s classic pick-up truck that he restored from the ground up was stolen.  Now just in case the metaphor escaped anyone he even slips and says “show” instead of “truck” in one place.  He stresses several times that he’s had the “truck” for ten years and of course “Last Man Standing” premiered in 2011.

At one point the characters are talking about the fact that they can’t find the truck because the tracking GPS is off the “network.”  One of them asks if it could be found on another network and someone else says he’s heard of something like that and then Tim Allen says he doesn’t think it will work.  So, he’s hitting out at both ABC and Fox with this statement.  Later on, he asks “Who steals somebody else’s work like that?”  And there is a mock wake where the various actors talk about their feelings for the “truck.”  And finally in the Mike character’s final VLOG episode Tim Allen says just like Ronald Reagan after his 1976 defeat in the Republican primary that he is bloodied but he’ll get back up again.

So maybe Tim Allen thinks he has another show in him.  But what network will play it without neutering all the normal masculinity that Allen is known for?  I don’t see it happening.  But at least it was something that he at least acknowledged that his brain child had been butchered by the powers that be.  For that at least I salute him.

If he ever does start a new series, I’ll give it a look.  Who knows?  Miracles can happen.

22MAY2021 – OCF Update

My apologies, today is going to be a busy day in the real world.  I don’t know if I’ll be doing much writing until this evening but on such a beautiful day as today everyone should be out in the real world, at play in the fields of the Lord.  So I’ll see you soon.

I Won Yalta

The world was divvied up.  I got everything I wanted.  My “allies” were stiff armed and I emerged triumphant.

Actually, none of those things are true.  The gathering was great.  There was music and good food and boisterous camaraderie.  We told stories and exaggerated our exploits in any number of old adventures from the “good old days.”  And we mocked the corporate “powers that be” and their toadies who are in charge of torturing us for fun and profit.  And we laughed at how lately things have been going sideways for them quite often.

And we had desserts, splendiferous desserts.  And we drank coffee and talked about those who were gone and planned our next gathering as the hours slipped away and a hot late-spring day became a fairly cold night.  And toasts were pledged and handshakes were exchanged and no one was silly enough to feel nervous about human contact.  The police never showed up and as I was driving away, I thought, “We’ve neglected to get together for a year because we were afraid of the Left?”

But we had been.  And not mistakenly, but of necessity.  The Left controls our lives.  They have the power to imprison us and make us paupers and take every good thing away from us, even our rights as Americans.  COVID and the BLM riots and the election fraud have made all those things clear to me and probably to millions of others.

And now that it’s clear we need to decide what we are willing to trade to escape from these people.  If I had lived in South Dakota then COVID would have affected me not at all.  I would still have had to live with the election fraud and maybe the BLM losers would have had a local presence somewhere in the urban centers but it would have been a mere shadow of the madness that went on in the Northeast and other blue areas.  In the fall when the flu season resumes the masks will be brought back and the Karens will shriek about the death that was waiting in the wings and now has come back to put them back in charge of making our lives miserable.

I’m trapped in place here for at least a year or two more.  But I’m guessing there are countless others who will take this opportunity to move to places with fewer Leftists and freer air.  And I envy those people.  It’s the right decision to make.  The only real question is which is the best place.  There are trade-offs having to do with employment opportunities and climate.  But all of these things are details that can be worked through if time and thought are taken.

My advice is take the time now and get the wheels rolling and start making it happen.  If you wait too long it just gets harder to break away from the encumbrances that grow up around you when you live somewhere for a long time.

Alright, end of rant.  The ice is broken and next week I’m hosting a Memorial Day family party, flush with barbecued meat, watermelon, corn on the cob, cake and ice cream and a swimming pool full of children and grandchildren.  And all I have to do this week is get the pool pH right and fix the gate on the pool fence.  Sounds about right.  The only fear I have is a patch of poison ivy that has crossed into the pool area and threatens the serenity of my favorite poolside deck chair.  But with the help of the Lord and my good right arm (not to mention a “liberal” coating of ivy-block to my face and arms) I shall prevail and restore order to the realm.

Let the games begin!

Yalta – 2021 (Sorta)

Toward the end of World War II the “Big Three,” Churchill, Roosevelt and Stalin got together for a conference in the Black Sea resort of Yalta.  Here they discussed the fate of the post-war world and possibly drank vodka.  Today a similar event will occur.

I’m trying to decide which one I am.  Based on my bloody-mindedness I guess Stalin might be the closest analogy.  But if politics is the measure, I’ll be Churchill.

I guess the analogy breaks down along the lines of world domination.  The issues that will dominate this conference will be the need to wash down sandwiches and potato salad with lemonade and beer.  I am donating the aforementioned potato salad and Camera Girl’s world-famous ricotta cheese cake.  There is talk of penny ante poker and Russian roulette but we’ll see about that.  I expect points of disagreement but also wide areas of concurrence.  My only unbreakable rule will be that I must be addressed as “Your Grand High Celestial Irritableness.”  That is like iron!

This conference occurs at a distinct juncture.  The Southern New England states are surreptitiously admitting that even their spineless inhabitants have stopped believing in the mask farce.  So, the authorities are grasping the miracle of the vaccine as the excuse for this retreat from mask idiocy and will officially allow us to return to near normalcy.  So, we are not expecting Karen to report us to the boys in blue.  But if they do show up, we intend to don black-face and stand on our George Floydian right to do whatever the hell we feel like and resist arrest by any and all means up to and including overdosing on fentanyl.  Or cheesecake.  That’s my preference.

Seriously, it’s pretty great finally getting together with good friends and celebrate summer appropriately.  This will be the first major reassembly of the Morning Coffee Walk in over a year.  We’ll probably keep the political discussion to a minimum only because it won’t facilitate good digestion.  But we will at the very least discuss Joe Biden’s squint.

And of course, because of this celebration there will be a noticeable lag in content today.  I’m sure all will agree that this kind of conference is worth the cost.  The proximity of such high caliber minds is sure to spark some amazing consequences.  We may discover anti-gravity or even lo-cal pizza.  So let the good times roll.  Boy, look at that cape FDR is wearing.  Maybe I need one of those.

Separating Our Problems into Actionable Buckets – Part 1

One of the problems with our present situation is that it’s not just one problem.  And worse than that, it’s not as if all of these problems we have are arranged in such a way that any single action undermines all of them like some kind of keystone that once removed destabilizes the whole structure that is arrayed against us.  And maybe there is such a thing that can neutralize the Left’s hold on our country but if it does exist it probably involves the use of brute force.

So, putting that aside let’s talk about how we can act on separate aspects of our problems with the Left to minimize the damage that it does to us and allows us to maximize the quality of our lives.

To do that we might look at the different impacts that the Left has on us and order them from worst to least damaging.  For instance, recently the well known beauty pageants like Miss America and Miss World have begun allowing “transwomen” to compete.  As horrendous as the idea of this is, the actual damage to my life is relatively limited.  I don’t think I’ve ever watched more than the clips of the winner crying and hugging the other contestants as if she didn’t hate all their guts.  So even though it is an abomination I’m not losing any sleep over it.  And that’s good because my chances of stopping castrati (I assume) from participating in the swimsuit competition are decidedly closer to none rather than slim.

On the other hand, if I had children in a school that announced that they were going to indoctrinate them in critical race theory in general and transgenderism in particular, I’d be extremely upset about the damage that would do and I would be looking for a way to avert this situation.  I would look into protesting to the school board and failing action from this, I would look for a private school that would preclude this sort of propaganda.

So notice the difference.  If a minor problem for which no real solution exists can be detached from a major problem for which a real solution does exist, I can stop moaning and groaning about the transgender nightmare and do something about the problem.

So that’s the approach, look for how a general problem impacts me and mine and concentrate on solutions that address that specific impact.  Sure, if a general solution appears that would be great.  If Bruce Jenner gets his sanity back and denounces the Kardashians and declares himself a castrated man and stops wearing dresses and high heels and begs America to force all “trans-people” to undergo electroconvulsive treatment until they snap out of their insanity then maybe we won’t have to worry about psychos indoctrinating our children.  But I think it would be wise not to wait for that.

So that’s the approach I want to take with this idea.  Find the particular critical problem and look for an actionable and effective solution.  Feel free in the comments to provide any examples of these kinds of problems and the practical solutions you can think of.  It would also be useful to list which critically important problems currently lack effective solutions altogether.
