A Night at the Opera

As the Cuomo Tragicomedy grinds on the only thing that is certain is that by the end the voters of New York will wish they had Andy back as governor.  Not that he is a good governor.  Far from it.  He is a petty vindictive dope.  But compared to what will follow he is Pericles.

And really, I am just tuning in for the laughs.  The first high note will be when the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences takes back Andrew’s Emmy Award.  That will strike at the very heart of who he is.  The loss of legitimacy will probably force him to resign his office.

The second important moment will be when Fredo turns on him.  All of this scandal has been terrifying for Fredo.  He doesn’t really know how to navigate these treacherous straits.  So far, he has gotten by leaning on the fraternal loyalty schtick.  It’s definitely wearing thin and eventually he’ll have to move against Andy.  It will have to involve some flavor of Fredo being the victim of all this dishonesty.  If I thought Fredo was bold enough I’d guess he’d go transgender.  That would completely inoculate him from the contagion of patriarchal guilt.  And who knows, maybe someone will think it up for him.  That would be a great sideshow.  He could even change his last name to Cuoma to literally divorce himself from the masculine gender.  I’m hoping it will work itself out on air on CNN.  Possibly Don Lemon can perform some kind of ritual mounting of Fredo to symbolize the defeat of white straight cis hetero something or other.  Well, whatever they come up with won’t be that funny but still, it’ll be worth a laugh or two.  It’s built into the trade mark Chris Cuomo deer in the headlights look into the camera.  In fact, it’s a family trait.  I remember I was told about the press conference where Andy was asked about the public policy of his administration in sending COVID patients back into the nursing homes to infect the other patients.  When I viewed the video, Andy had that same deer in the headlights look on his face.  I’m not even sure he knew what the policy was.  It just shows that Mario’s sons aren’t all that very bright.

But as I say, what will follow Andy in the Governor’s mansion will make him look like Abraham Lincoln in comparison.  It will be a vindictive woman of color and she will torture everyone in that state until they flee in horror.  It should be marvelous.  I will especially enjoy her torturing her white sisters relentlessly.  I assume they will be the primary subject of her wrath and they will be the ones dispossessed even more vindictively than white men.

I notice that I haven’t even addressed the sexual crimes that Andy has been accused of.  So far, they still pale in comparison to what Groper Joe got away with in the Senate.  We won’t even consider what Bill Clinton got up to as Governor of Arkansas.  Andy kissed a couple of women and I think he touched a woman’s stomach under the pretense of admiring her abs.  And he propositioned a couple of them too.  Well as a Democrat leader of a blue state, these are hanging offenses.  And I couldn’t be happier that they are being used as the icing on the cake for shoving him out of office.  All of these male feminists should have to suffer the consequences of advocating the double standards of modern feminism.  I will relish every moment of his obligatory groveling to the matriarchy.

And finally, what will the future hold for Andy?  Could he actually serve time?  Probably not for the COVID deaths.  That was just the usual stupidity of elected officials.  For that you get kicked out of office.  But could he be locked up for sex crimes?  I think he might!  So, there could be even more fun to come.

O momma mia, momma mia, momma mia let me go!

The Magic COVID Cure is Upon Us Here in New England

Hallelujah, Hallelujah!  My sources on the ground inform me that high school is returning to the high schools.  The teachers are reluctantly going back to work and before you know it even the grade school teachers will be forced to brave the terrors of the classroom.  And even the most frightened of the covidophobes are being coaxed out of the treetops by state governments that need to breath life back into their economies.

Well regardless of how absurd the basis for the un-panicking is, I am ecstatic that soon I’ll be surrounded by friends and family again.  Now comes the tricky part, trying to find a vaccine shot available.  I’m eligible but apparently the supply of vaccine is only trickling in.  Well, I don’t really need it right away.  I’ll wait until I’m at the head of the line I guess or maybe I’ll make my own vaccine.  How hard could it be?

I’ve also heard that employment is really picking up and other indications that life is returning to normal.  And to think, all we had to do was let a dementia patient pretend to be the head of the free world.  Or maybe we’re just pretending there still is a free world.  Well, whatever it is things will be less horrible.  And that’s not nothing.  Enjoying my life is pretty high on my list of things to do.

But one thing is still true.  The Left did all this on purpose.  They could have handled the pandemic rationally and done what the red states did, protect the nursing homes and the chronically ill and let the kids and the healthy adults get on with their lives.  But they wanted to scuttle President Trump’s re-election chances.  And when that didn’t work, they went instead for election fraud that installed a dementia patient and surrounded the Capitol building with razor wire and troops.  So, remember you don’t live in a democracy anymore, you live in a gangster state.  You’ll have to decide how you deal with that.

Maybe you’ll decide that you can live with that.  You may calculate that living in post-America is still the best deal there is.  So, you fold.  Forget all that land of the free and home of the brave jazz and burrow into the rotten apple and get everything you can.  They need capable people to make the wheels turn.  Even the Soviets were willing to let the technicians, the spetsies, do their work for them and only sent a few of them to the gulag.  Of course, they spit on them and called them all kinds of vile names but they still needed them.  There will be places for useful people if you can grovel.

Maybe you decide that there is a better place.  You can flee.  You can go to a red state and hope that the Left won’t turn that place into hell too.  Or you find a new country where the combination of economic and political conditions is better than what we have here.  That’s an enormous undertaking and will require a lot of research and a lot of courage.  But it may be the right thing to do.  I have never looked beyond the red states.  I have heard some things about some parts of Eastern Europe that may be hopeful but uprooting your family and moving to a place where you will be a stranger is a daunting prospect.

Maybe you decide to stay and resist.  You will fight.  How we do that is very far from clear.  No one is going to declare war on Washington and attack the Capitol.  That is a comic book story.  Amusingly, that is what Joe Biden and Nancy Pelosi want us to believe they are afraid of happening.  That is why they are holding thousands of National Guardsmen virtual prisoners in Washington.  They are there to defend the Deep State and the Congress from the “white supremacist boogeymen” that are lurking around every corner.

What is meant by fighting is going to a state that will draw a line in the sand and say to Washington we won’t let you take away our rights.  Oklahoma has taken the first step toward that.  Their legislature has voted on a law that empowers the State Attorney General or even the legislature to identify any federal laws or executive orders that are unconstitutional and act on this.  Whether they will follow through on this remains to be seen.  But that is what I imagine fighting back will look like.

So those are the options as I see them Fold, Flee or Fight.  But it is nice that even here in Deepest Blue New England they’re thinking of letting us see our families again.  It’s not like we’re out of prison but at least we’ll be allowed out of solitary confinement for the moment.  Hallelujah, Hallelujah!

Talking to Your Normie Friends About the Future

Lately I’ve found that more and more people have awakened to the reality of Post America.  Well, they have and they haven’t.  They look out in horror on President Dementia Joe and his razor wire wall around DC and want to know what happened.  But when they talk about their hopes, they talk about taking back the House and the Senate during the mid-terms and the Supreme Court defending our constitutional rights in the meantime.  Yep.

My favorite is how, “If we can only find the right presidential and vice-presidential candidates in 2024, why things will straighten right out.”  One guy was explaining to me that a Nikki Haley / Tim Scott ticket was the magic bullet to Republican dominance for decades to come.

Look, I’m not trying to belittle these people.  I was one of them back in the George W Bush days.  All we had to do was get one more seat on the Supreme Court and all this lefty stuff would just go away.  Well, that’s not really how it works I found out.  George W Bush gave us John Roberts.  What we wanted and what he gave us were two very different things.  It took Barack Obama and Donald Trump for me to see what was really going on.  And don’t forget John McCain, Mitt Romney, Justice Kennedy, Little Marco Rubio, Nikki Haley, JEB! Bush, John Kasich, Chris Christie, Bill Barr, Mitch McConnell, Liz Cheney, Jeff Flake and on and on and on.

So, I understand where they are coming from.  But it’s not helping anyone to humor them about this stuff.  Just tell them the truth.  Even if every RINO is expelled and we nominate every color of the rainbow coalition for Congress and the White House we aren’t going to vote our way out of this.

What will help is acknowledging that the Democrats have now stooped to massive election fraud and because of that Joe Biden is an illegitimate president.  Saying that out loud is part of the solution.  And because several other elections were rigged, specifically the two in Georgia, the Democratic senate majority is also illegitimate.  Which means all the laws passed by the Senate and President are also illegitimate.  And since the Supreme Court is allowing Biden’s unconstitutional executive orders to stand, we cannot expect any relief from any of the three branches of the federal government.

And acknowledging all of this and taking it as the status quo allows someone to think about what it will take to escape the consequences of this reality.  And that is where I try to bring my normie friends.  I finish off by saying that when all is said and done, the only power centers left on our side are the red states.  If anyone is going to resist the tyrants in the federal government who are systematically removing all of our rights it will have to be the legislature and governors of the biggest red states.

But I won’t pretend that any of this is a certainty.  It will take incredible courage on the part of a red state governor to thumb his nose at the Justice Department and FBI.  I don’t put anything past those government thugs.  A man would be taking his freedom and even his life in his hands resisting that power.  I think we have only a 50/50 chance.

But I think it’s important to tell people where we stand.  It’s better to know the truth instead of always wondering why we always lose.  Because if we finally are defeated there is still the chance to leave and find a better place.  And that may come.  But to even have that chance you need to know what’s what.  And you need to know when it’s over.

So that’s “the talk” I give my normie friends.  Let me know if you have a version of this and how it differs from mine.  I’m always interested in comparing notes.

Here’s an Interview by Matt Taibbi of Martin Gurri

Matt Taibbi is the lefty journalist who is at least honest about the crooked main stream media’s allegiance to the Deep State.  Here he interviews Martin Gurri, a former CIA analyst who predicted the Brexit and Trump revolts in his 2014 book ” The Revolt of the Public.”  Gurri believes that the internet has changed the nature of the relationship between government, the media and the people.

Gurri isn’t very ideological so his take on what is going on is fairly cold blooded.  I might read his book just to see if it provides any insights that I am lacking.  But what I see is he thinks the elites still haven’t embraced tactics that will put them back in control of the situation. Good.

I won’t say highly recommended.  Just something interesting to me.

Reclaiming the Family – Part 7 – Team Work

I have a very close relative who was in Iraq.  Well, actually, I have several close relatives who were in Iraq but in particular there is one who runs his family using the Army’s manual on discipline and unit cohesion.  And I have to say that has a lot to be said for it.

Full disclosure I never served in anything more regimented than the Boy Scouts.  I was too young for Vietnam and too old for 9-11.  But my father and my grandfather served and they always talked about military discipline and unit cohesion as traits that were sadly lacking in civilian life.  Well, when I was a kid, we gave all that talk very short shrift.  We were way too smart and savvy for all that regimentation.  At least that’s what we said back then.

But it recently occurred to me that discipline and unit cohesion were the answers to a lot of the problems we see in the world today and also a source of satisfaction in a world that is drifting apart into chaos.  Even within close family there is a tendency to become strangers.  I don’t mean that literally but rather compared to the closeness that existed when people didn’t move away from each other every other year.  We see each other once or twice a year.  We talk on the phone every few months and we lose track of what’s going on in each other’s lives.

But then when something goes wrong, we’re all alone.  And that’s even considering the old days when families had a passel of kids and everyone had plenty of brothers and sisters.  Imagine now where every family has at most two kids.  You start out almost alone and then by the time you head off to college your family is just a forgotten period in your life that is only revisited at Christmas and the Fourth of July.

The alternative to this is feeling responsible for your family.  If your brother has a problem.  Maybe he’s having trouble in school.  Make it your problem.  Help him out.  Tutor him.  Or maybe you notice that he’s not making friends very easily.  Include him in some activity or ask one of your friends to have a younger brother include him in some activity.

And of course, parents have to lift up their kids.  We take that for granted but you’d be surprised.  With two parents working often the kids get lost in the shuffle.  Spending time on kids’ homework and paying attention to teacher’s reports and what your kids tell you about school is critical.  Instead of the extra toy at Christmas, the weekend camping trip or the vacation in the mountains or at the shore is a much smarter investment.  You build the memories and you build a sense of belonging to something bigger than yourself.

And just as important is having the kids do their part around the house.  Chores and responsibilities are vital to keeping kids engaged.  Even if mom is home every day, she is swamped with things that have to be done.  Enforcing discipline and teaching the value of work is probably the most important activity a father can have with his sons. And when kids become teens a first job is the transition from childhood to responsible adult behavior.

Grandparents have their place too.  Having get togethers that bring together your children and their children allows the cousins to know each other and stay close.  With the smaller family sizes today, this is even more important to maintain some sense of familial closeness.  Let the grandkids know they are part of a bigger and older family than just their parents and siblings.  There is magic in that for children of all ages.

I’ll be the first to admit that I came from a family where all of this was woefully missing.  We were a large family and my poor parents were outnumbered and unprepared for the insanity that we inflicted on them.  We ran amok.  Somehow, we all survived but sometimes it was a close thing.  But I have since seen it handled better and I attribute it to discipline and unit cohesion.  Give the kids plenty of love and attention but also expect family loyalty and responsibility for themselves and for each other.  Drill it into them that families don’t disband when the kids turn eighteen.  Family is a multi-generational structure where we support each other and make life better for those who came before us and those who are coming after.

Family is the closest relationship you should have.  But friends don’t have to be disposable.  It’s possible to have friends that are almost like family.  They’re rare but they can happen.  Probably for servicemen it’s less rare.  I have friends whose service buddies are lifelong pals who are there when they need them.  I envy them the camaraderie they have.

And finally, we have the wider community.  These are folks who share the same values.  With them we can share stories and good wishes and strategies.  Maybe sometime, something we say to somebody, may provide a morale boost or a bit of information that gets him over the hump.  At least that’s how I like to look at it.  But the same idea applies in each case.  Show a sense of solidarity with those you are related to.  Take responsibility to do your part and maintain your place in the family or community or even movement.  Feel like you belong and let the next guy know it’s not every man for himself.  And who knows, someday you might say something to someone who’s feeling very alone and it might give him a reason not to give up.  That’s not nothing.

The ZMan Explains Baltimore’s 0.13 Grade Point Average

My favorite bad thinker, the ZMan, is a native of Baltimore and in this incisive essay he looks at the root cause of why a major American city has a high school system where the average grade point index of 0.13.  Putting aside any questions about differences of intellect across groups or individuals, the idea that this state of affairs is acceptable is ludicrous.  Essentially you have a whole city of Americans who can’t read or write.  Read it to see his take on why this is allowed to continue.

Oklahoma Tells Dementia Joe to Pound Sand and Returns to Constitutional Governance

How great is this?

“The Oklahoma state House has passed a bill that would allow the state attorney general and legislature to declare federal laws and executive orders issued under Democratic President Joe Biden as unconstitutional.

The bill, HB 1236, would allow the Oklahoma attorney general to review any executive orders, congressional laws or federal agency rules to see if they violate the U.S. Constitution. If the attorney general doesn’t oppose them, then the state legislature could do so through a majority vote.”

Finally we’re starting to see the red states say enough.  Thank you Oklahoma.

07MAR2021 – OCF Update – This and That

Today was a work day.  I’ve been neglecting my writing so today I paid my dues and knocked off a few thousand words of story telling.  I’m in a quiet interval in the story and those are harder to write for me than the action sequences.  Those seem to write themselves.

So the Democrats are paying the blue states a few trillion dollars to let them pay their union buddies off.  Seems about as expected.  And from what I remember there’s a bill circulating to codify election stealing into national law.  I wonder if the Republicans will put up any fight at all.  Probably not.  I’m very interested to see if the Red States start putting together state measures to keep the fraudsters out of their states.  And of course I’m waiting for the conflict that those two opposed actions will lead to.  I think at this point that there are some states that will take their fates into their own hands and begin the battle for freedom.

I’ve been following Curtis Yarvin’s Gray Mirror newsletter on my e-mail account.  I haven’t taken out a paid subscription yet so I only read the free section but that may be enough.  Yarvin likes to write voluminously so his free section is at least several thousand words. per piece.  He’s a strange cat.  He considers himself a monarchist.  He has no belief in the democratic form of government.  He’s not a conservative per se.  I think the correct term is neo-reactionary but he does have a lot of interesting ideas.  The only thing I’m not sure about is whether the world he wants is the one I want. If you’re interested in an intellectual’s take on the solution to the Woke Culture you might check it out.

I went back to some of the photography websites I used to follow and it seems they’ve fallen on hard times.  Web traffic is way down and interest has shifted to phone cameras and Pinterest.  Oh well.  Since a lot of these sites censored conservative commenters in a biased way compared to their progressive commenters I can’t say that I’m sad to see them suffering.  Maybe if they’d been more even handed I might have cared.  Well anyway I’ve got my own place to put my bug pictures up so I’m good.

My ongoing experiment with a rower (Concept 2) has been going okay.  I’m loving the experience as is Camera Girl.  It’s actually very relaxing and good for clearing my mind.  But as Maddmedic warned it is tough on the back.  So I’m doing back stretches and have stopped sitting on my uber-soft couch and now use a stiff wood backed chair.  So far so good.

I enjoyed the Biden parody post.  I’ve got to see if I can do more of those.  He really deserves all the abuse we can heap on him.

Well, that’s enough for now.  Enjoy your Sunday night.

Day 45 of Dementia Joe’s Regime – Interdimensional Crisis Averted

High drama unfolded today in Washington when at around 10 am sirens sounded and helicopter gunships and tactical attack aircraft were seen circling the White House.  Thousands of troops formed a cordon around the White House.  But by noon all military activity had returned to normal.  Strange rumors circulated about the President’s whereabouts and at the afternoon press conference the President was questioned about the incident.

Upon being asked if anything unusual had occurred that morning President Biden replied, “I’m glad you asked that question Sparky, you old dog faced pony soldier, I was preparing for the national defense briefing when I found myself lost in an alternate universe.  Suddenly a door to another dimension opened up and I found my self looking out at the old swimming hole I used to share with my boyhood chums Huck Finn and Corn Pop.  Well, I got ready to go skinny dipping with them when all of a sudden, the interdimensional portal closed on me and I was trapped.  I realized at once that white supremacists had lured me in with a false image.  I struggled mightily and finally I remembered the super-secret Presidential beacon alarm.  I triggered it and I was rescued by a special forces battalion.

Because of the heroic struggle I put up against the white supremacists in hyperspace, the Nobel Foundation will be awarding me both the Peace Prize and the award for physics.  I have requested that instead of the medals being awarded to me by the King of Norway, that Greta Thunberg place the medals around my neck.  Also, I will request that she use Wella Balsam shampoo beforehand.”

After the press conference a slightly different version emerged from unnamed White House sources.

This morning at 10 am President Biden turned up missing for his national security briefing.  When the President’s Life Alert was triggered the secret service agents used the GPS device to triangulate his location.  When the President’s clothes were found on the floor in front of a dumb waiter the worst was feared.  But as best anyone can reconstruct the sequence of events, it appears that the President had wandered down an unfamiliar service corridor near the kitchen and after opening the door of the dumb waiter mistook the small metal box for an interdimensional portal that would allow him to relive his boyhood days at the swimming hole.  After removing his clothes, he wedged himself in the small space but the door closed on him sending him into a panic.  Although the lengthy captivity and cramped posture had resulted in some regrettable excretory mishaps the President was conscious and basically safe.  The female secret service agents were dismissed and Dr Jill was summoned with the object of coaxing the agitated President out of his portal and back into his underwear.  After decontamination of the dumb waiter and the President things returned to normal.

Later on, in the day when the incident was mentioned during the daily press conference Jen Psaki promised to circle back to it but assured the reporters that there was nothing funny about white supremacists marauding through interdimensional space and attempting to kidnap the President of the United States.  The FBI has promised to round up the white supremacists and bring them to justice.  Huck Finn and Corn Pop could not be reached for comment.

Texas Joins Florida in Tackling Social Media Bias and De-Platforming of the Right

Governor Abbott of Texas has joined Governor DeSantis of Florida in calling for state legislation to rein in anti-right bias in the social media platforms.  Let’s hope they coordinate their efforts to enact the same legislation and then share it with the rest of the red states.  I’d love to see these states sue the pants off Google, Facebook and Twitter among others.  While they’re at it they might as well look at what Amazon is doing with banning books.  They’ve got a whole lot of money that could really help a lot of state rainy day funds.  You could build a lot of roads and bridges with what Bezos spends on the Washington Post every year.

So here’s hoping this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship between the red state governors and their legislatures.  May a thousand law suits bloom and bleed the social media companies dry.
