If You Have Any Interest in the Dissident Right and What They Believe Read This.

Awhile back I linked to a post by Michael Anton in which he reviewed a self-published book called Bronze Age Mindset.  Well the author of that book was given a chance to address the content of the post over at Claremont’s American Mind webpage.  I’ve linked to it below.  If you are at all interested in the dissident community that was the on-line heart of Donald Trump’s support in 2016 then you may find this article very informative.  I did.  The pseudonymous author (Bronze Age Pervert) is extremely persuasive in laying out his case for the need, or rather, the unavoidable certainty of the collapse of the current liberal worldview.  Highly recommended read.

America’s Delusional Elite Is Done

The Democrat Donors are Starting to Panic Over the 2020 Field of Candidates

The Big Money donors are a powerful force in Democrat politics and lately when they get together they can be heard saying, “isn’t there anyone better than this to bring into the race?”  Apparently the top three candidates, Biden, Warren and Sanders don’t inspire much confidence in the bag men.

And who can blame them?  Warren and Sanders are communists who, among other things, have signed onto healthcare proposals that promise to eliminate all private health insurance.  After the debacle of Obamacare even lefties know that the majority of Americans will view this as a deal breaker.  In addition, several of these donors represent the Tech Giants and Warren has been vowing to break up Google and Facebook so you can imagine they’re not thrilled with the prospect of paying through the nose for someone who wants to put them out of business.

And then there’s Creepy Uncle Joe.  Even if you refuse to believe that his crooked son was obviously cashing in on his father’s influence as Vice President during the Ukraine debacle it would be impossible to miss the fact that Joe is working with less than a full deck of cards at this point.  The money men are probably dreading the prospect of a general election debate between Joe the Human Gaffe Machine and the Trump Buzzsaw.

As for the rest of the field of midgets, none of them are polling above three percent in the polls.  And the ones that are even slightly less crazy than the front-runners are even lower down than three percent.  They’re in the fractional percentage range.

This has spawned panicky calls to draft Hillary Clinton, Michael Bloomberg, Michelle Obama, John Kerry or even Oprah Winfrey.

I fully expect that during this holiday season a call will go out to draft Santa Claus if he can be convinced to renounce Christianity.

This is a delicious moment.  With Hillary Clinton denouncing one of the candidates, Tulsi Gabbard, as a Russian agent I can imagine a scenario where the Trump campaign donates money to a Draft Hillary PAC to ensure she gets her chance to do the maximum damage to the whole Democrat establishment.

Seriously, many people thought that the 2020 Democrat field was a sacrificial offering intended to eliminate the old and insane to clear the decks for 2024.  If that is the case, mission accomplished.  If the general election turns out to be the debacle it’s shaping up to become, the Dems may rethink the whole resistance thing and put a brave face on a “loyal opposition” con.

But what isn’t clear is how much of a coattail effect President Trump can have in the House and Senate.  The Republican boobs in those two august bodies have proven themselves almost superhumanly capable of screwing up all of the opportunities that President Trump has presented them with over the course of his term.  I only hope that some much less-stupid people step forward and present themselves as allies of the President and thereby benefit from his popularity with real people.  Anyway, that’s what I hope.  But my fondest wish is that Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan go over to the Democrat side and help them with all the special skills they possess.  That should be enough to give us a supermajority in both houses of Congress.

Taibbi Mocks the Russophobes on the Left

Matt Taibbi is no fan of President Trump but he is willing to call BS when the Left talks crazy.  Here he points out that Hillary Clinton is talking nonsense when she labels Tulsi Gabbard a Russian Asset.  In fact he says that Hillary is nuts.  How can you not love that?  Then he talks about the rest of the Left’s supposed russophobia.  This is the third article from him I’ve enjoyed. Surprising.  Check it out.

Everyone Is a Russian Asset

Crushing the Coup is Not Optional

Last Monday I put up a post about Matt Taibbi’s article on the “permanent coup” going on inside the Deep State against President Trump.  On Friday I was listening to the Voice of Saruman (aka the ZMan) on his weekly podcast and at minute 35 he had a segment on The Permanent Coup!  It was his thoughts on Taibbi’s article.  The ZMan read a good chunk of the article aloud and then gave his take on it.  I think he said just about what I said agreeing with Taibbi.  Apparently great minds think alike.  Well, on some things anyway.  Basically, the premise is if the security state gets to decide who can be president then we’re already in a post-democratic country and it’s only a matter of time before the peasants grab their torches and pitchforks.  The ZMan took things a little farther than I did and said he thinks the chances of reforming the security agencies is very slim.  Come to think of it, I think Taibbi came to a similar conclusion and sort of predicted that a reaction in the form of a dictatorial move could be imminent.

So, listening to the podcast got me thinking about all this again.  I used to think that enduring the “Resistance” was just the price we had to pay to get on with the job of changing the Republican Party.  But now I see the Deep State as a parasite that has hijacked the government and subverted the lawful working of our democracy.  And the more I thought about it the more convinced I became that firing, prosecuting and imprisoning the conspirators was just as important as the other priorities of the Trump administration.  All the way back to J. Edgar Hoover the FBI has been blackmailing American presidents and calling the shots behind the scenes.  After the Patriot Act, they’ve been given surveillance weapons that in concert with Democrat allies in the Courts, Media and Congress can disrupt every action of an Administration that they don’t like.

And it gets worse.  The Democrats and probably some of the imbecilic Republicans are willing to go down this road.  They used the Mueller investigation to hound out of office and even imprison men that had done nothing wrong.  They are trying to delegitimize a presidency and criminalize the normal workings of the executive branch.  Really, the only way forward in this situation is to have Barr start firing the upper echelons of all the intelligence agencies until they run out of cabalists.  And not just the first couple of rungs.  He’ll have to decimate the upper management level in order to demoralize the middle management layer enough to start getting the cooperation needed.  What is needed is a whistleblower.  And the only way to get one is to remove the senior cabalists and thus remove the fear they inspire in their subordinates.

But will Barr do it?  He worked with all of these guys for years and probably belongs to the same clubs and social organizations they do.  He probably understands their point of view and the elitist attitude that informs it.  And he probably realizes how deadly serious are the consequences of crossing these people.

But here is where I differ from those on the dissident right.  I think it will happen.  I think that we have reached a point where our side knows it’s no longer possible to kowtow to the Deep State.  I think it will happen.  Maybe heads won’t actually roll but there will be criminal indictments and convictions and powerful men will go to prison.  I think it will happen and I know it has to if we are going to remain a free nation and not an Orwellian nightmare state.

Barr has been pursuing the origins of the Russiagate scam and it appears he has managed to unravel a loose end.  If he indicts some of the middle rankers like Peter Strzok or even reaches up to McCabe that should go a long way to getting one of these rats to sing.  So, I remain hopeful.

But as I said at the beginning, nailing one of these rats is almost useless.  The whole rotten structure of the intelligence agencies has to demolished and rebuilt on a basis that recognizes the primacy of the President’s authority over it.  Without that we’ll be back where we are now sooner or later.  So right up there with “build that wall” should “drain that swamp.”

19OCT2019 – OCF Update

Tomorrow I’ll go see “The Joker” with Camera Girl.  I know she’s not thrilled about going and I had my reservations about inflicting her with it but she volunteered so……  I’m sort of two minds on it myself but enough people said it’s not a left wing propaganda piece so I’m trying to keep an open mind.

I’m still finding my way into the Star Trek reviews, a work in progress for sure, but so far it’s been fun.

The next couple of weeks should be busy on the political side.  Brexit is on a 31OCT deadline so we’ll see if Parliament forces an extension on Boris and what that means for a general election.  Pelosi seems to be running a gaslighting operation that won’t turn into an actual impeachment investigation anytime soon.  Barr is scurrying around digging up info on Joseph Mifsud and the other Deep State conspirators.  Will anything surface from this soon or at all? Let’s hope but don’t hold your breath.

I just started reading “Requiem for Medusa (Tyrus Rechs: Contracts & Terminations) (Volume 1),” sort of a prequel in the Galaxy’s Edge universe.  As usual it’s highly entertaining and action packed.  I’ll have a full review once I finish it, which won’t take long.  The Galaxy Edge stuff is too good to put down.

My usual Monday morning post should be out there on time.  Many things to write on but still deciding.  We live in interesting times.  Stay tuned.

Notes on the Fourth Democrat Debate – Liarwatha Buries the Competition

I tuned into about forty-five minutes of the fourth debate tonight.  Fauxcahantas smoked her cracked brain competition.  And she did it with a populist message that will resonate a lot more with the general public than the goofball bleating of her fellow liars.  Granted she’s just as dishonest and dangerous to the health and wealth of this country but she can at least sound coherent when she describes the globalist corporate madness that has bankrupted this nation.  She will be dangerous in the general election.

Creepy Uncle Joe gaffed his way through a number of talking points that in a way was impressive.  He combined short term memory failures with a certain folksy glibness that’s almost remarkable.  And based on the incoherence of the other mental midgets around him it was somewhat entertaining.

Bernie was his old irascible self.  He did not appear weak or ill or confused.  He gave of his best and that best is the promise of more and more socialism until even Stalin would say uncle.  One thing he was vehement about was that billionaires are going to get it in the neck.  Billionaire Tom Steyer agreed and promised to tax himself out of existence.

And all of the rest of the dwarves agreed.  Now if they could guarantee that Amazon, Facebook and Twitter were at the front of that line I think I could come around to agreeing to that campaign plank.  But honestly, I’d much prefer we just broke up those lefty monopolies altogether.

When healthcare was being discussed Harris and Spartacus reminded us that pro-life legislature was curtailing the activities of Planned Parenthood and she claimed that meant women of color would die.  She never mentioned that it might mean a lot of babies of color might live.  But there was nobody there who cared about that.

Pete Butt actually said a few sensible things.  When the talk about bringing jobs back from Mexico had Fauxcahantas and Beto waxing poetic Mayor Pete reminded everybody that President Trump was elected in part because he said he would do something about lost jobs that everybody else said were gone forever.  Honesty at a Democratic Primary Debate?  Well he claims he’s very religious, maybe that was a Gay Christian Hail Mary Pass.  Might get him to three percent.

Andrew Yang says he’ll give everyone a thousand bucks a month to quit the jobs they don’t like.  Tulsi Gabbard acted worried and empathetic about everything.  Damned if I can remember what Amy Klobuchar and Julián Castro said.  I doubt even they know or care.

So, my take away from this debate is that Granny Clampett is a dangerous opponent in the general election.  She has decent debate skills and she will spout a populist message that has many attractive points.  Luckily, she has a track record of lying about her intentions.  And that is where I think she needs to be attacked.  Fauxcahantas and Liarwatha are the perfect names to use when attacking her on the screen.  Her use of deceit for personal gain is documented and is sure to alienate the minority vote that she will so desperately need in the general election.

President Trump, invite Massachusetts journalist Howie Carr up to the White House and let him give you his fifty favorite Fake Indian stories and then pick the best of the best for the 2020 campaign commercials.  That should be about right.

What Kind of a World Do We Live In Where Matt Taibbi Starts Making Sense?

Taibbi is a prog journalist but recently he’s shown that he’s one of the few progs who actually believes in objective reality.

https://taibbi.substack.com/p/were-in-a-permanent-coup

In this article he warns that when the intelligence agencies begin dictating who gets to be president then we are already living in a banana republic and revolution can’t be far behind.  Worth a read.

Colin Kaepernick’s Agent Can’t Figure Out Why his Client Hasn’t Been Signed

When I saw this headline,   Colin Kaepernick Agent, Increasingly Frustrated at NFL’s Snub, Sends Out Press Release

I thought it was a satire piece like in the Babylon Bee.

After reading it I knew it was real but because of that it’s much funnier than any satirical piece could be.  Imagine this.  Kaepernick torpedoes the NFL’s relationship with its most loyal fans, sues the league for malfeasance and wins millions and then his agent is increasingly frustrated that no one wants to hire him and start the cycle over again.  It’s pure comedy gold!

In order to set the record straight and counter the false narratives out there his agent sent out a press release.  Here are some of the best bits:

Has Colin been offered a job by an NFL team?
No, not a single team has offered Colin a job since the 2016 season, in which he began his peaceful protest.

Has Colin ever had a workout with an NFL team?
No, not a single team has brought Colin in for a workout. Seattle brought Colin in for a visit but did not work him out. Afterwards, Pete Carroll said Colin is a “starter in this league.” No other NFL team has interviewed or worked out Colin in the past 3 seasons, despite other false statements in the media to the contrary.

What about Colin being a “distraction” with the 49ers?
His coach, Chip Kelly, during the 2016 season said about Colin, “He is zero distraction.” In that same 2016 season, Colin also won the Len Eshmont Award, voted on by 49er players and given to the 49er who best exemplifies inspirational and courageous play.

Well I’m glad to hear he was zero distraction as he tanked the league’s ratings with his protest.  Anyway, Nike will drag old Colin out for at least a year or two more until everyone actually forgets who he is.  Then they’ll harass us with some new dumbass they find biting the hand that feeds him.  Hey maybe Colin can go to China and try his protest over there.  After all the Uighur people are being oppressed pretty awfully by the Chinese.  I’m sure the Chinese would be grateful to Colin for pointing this out to them.  They are a very reasonable people.  Just ask the Uighurs and the Tibetans.

Impeachment: The Last Bullet in the Gun

The Impeachment of the President of the United States was an unheard-of idea for most of the first century of the country’s existence.  It took the Civil War and its partisan aftermath to produce the first impeachment and even then, President Andrew Johnson was acquitted.  When over a hundred years later Richard Nixon was threatened with impeachment, he became the first president to resign his office rather than subject the nation to such a trauma.  But twenty-five years later the standards of the country had eroded sufficiently that not only did Bill Clinton refuse to resign but he was actually acquitted of perjury and obstruction charges despite documentary and physical evidence to the contrary.  Now twenty years of polarization past that point it seems probable that a politically motivated impeachment charge by the Democrats against a popular Republican president might actually be a net positive for the president.

For the whole period of Donald Trump’s presidency and even before his inauguration, various Democrat officials and almost all of the Media have bandied about the impeachment threat.  When the Mueller investigation collapsed there was a short respite when even the Democrat leaders admitted that impeachment was no longer an option.

But with the recent Ukraine events Nancy Pelosi was hounded by the younger members of the Democrat caucus to announce that she has initiated a formal impeachment action.  Wow, that sounds serious!  But wait.  “She cannot unilaterally decide we’re in an impeachment inquiry.  What she said today makes no difference about what’s been going on,” House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy said after Pelosi’s announcement.”  In other words, in order for an actual impeachment investigation to be started the full House has to vote on and approve it and Pelosi has refused to bring one to the floor.   So, what is actually going on here?

Despite what AOC’s Goon Squad would have you believe, impeaching President Trump on spurious charges would most likely lose Nancy Pelosi the House Democrat Majority and her Speaker’s chair after the 2020 election.  And Pelosi knows that.  In addition, the chance of the Senate convicting the President is effectively zero.  Twenty republican senators would have to join the democrats for the necessary two thirds majority and that’s even assuming that senators like Joe Manchin of West Virginia would vote for something so unpopular with their constituencies.  Then, what is the strategy here?

My interpretation of the situation is that Democrats have to appear to be holding the President accountable for investigating members of the Obama administration that are known to have been involved in influence peddling.  That includes, at least, Joe Biden, Hillary Clinton and John Kerry.  Actually, allowing an investigation of these sacred cows of the Democrat establishment risks exposing levels of corruption that would certainly upend the American political order.

But they are trying to use the threat of impeachment only.  Because once they actually impeach him and he is acquitted by the Senate then Congress is basically a spent force.  They will have done their worst and the last bullet will have been fired.  At that point his continued existence as president will be a constant reminder to them and the rest of the country of their impotence.  All of their posturing and rhetoric will seem hollow and ridiculous.  And ridiculous is a very bad thing for influence peddlers.

What is difficult for me to determine is exactly what the President’s strategy is here.  Is he trying to force an impeachment or is it just collateral to his desire to punish the cabal that tried to overturn his election?  I think either one of those two scenarios is possible.  Personally, I hope he is working to expose the criminal conspiracy that exists against him.  Nothing would make me happier than hearing that Comey, McCabe, Brennan and Clapper were indicted and awaiting trial for treason.  The damage these people have done to the country is hard to overestimate.

But is it possible that President Trump is trying to get himself impeached?  It seems, at first glance, unthinkable.  Why would a president risk removal from office no matter how unlikely?  And if running for re-election wouldn’t he worry that the impeachment stigma would destroy his electability?  Maybe not.

The United States has become almost completely polarized.  The Left/Right divide has become a chasm both wide and deep.  Like the opposite sides of the Grand Canyon each can see the other from a vast distance with the space between a desolate no-man’s land.  So, impeachment will only serve to seal the fate of any Democrats still serving office in Red areas of the country and alternatively for Republicans in Blue areas.  It will stoke the resentment of partisans on both sides of the divide and fit in with each side’s narrative.  But being acquitted by the Senate will uplift the spirits of the Right and depress those of the Left.  In that sense it would be a net positive for the President’s side and may have been calculated by the political experts as a winning strategy.  It seems bizarre but I concede it is possible.

How does one decide which of these two situations is the actual one?  You probably can’t do it definitively but I guess one sign would be whether President Trump provides further excuses for the House to investigate him.  Let’s say he calls up the British Prime Minister and asks for him to investigate any links between the Clinton campaign and the Steele Dossier.  With the almost endless leaks coming out of the intelligence agencies we’d be hearing about it before the phone call ended.  Though, even that would still leave open the possibility that the President was more interested in getting to the bottom of the coup.  But at the very least it would mean that he was unworried about impeachment.

And honestly it appears that there is no reason to fear impeachment any more.  Not even the Media will pretend there is any objectivity toward President Trump.  In fact, they are proud to say they are abandoning evenhandedness to do whatever it takes to destroy his presidency.  So, there is no danger of any of the President’s voters believing anything the Media or the Democrats say.

So here we are in the brave new world where a Republican President isn’t afraid of impeachment but the Democrat Speaker of the House is.  Who knows, maybe Pelosi will back down sometime in the next few weeks.  I’m no longer surprised by anything that happens in our politics.  The Democrats stopped following the rules half a century ago and we finally have a man who can fight fire with fire.  This wild ride that we’ve been on since Donald Trump entered the political arena a few years ago promises to upend all the remaining stupidities that the hapless Republican establishment figures put up with in the past.  Here’s hoping that in 2021 President Trump has a reliable Republican congress, a swamp drained of all Deep State saboteurs and a robustly conservative Supreme Court to move us forward into a more hopeful future.

Curtis Yarvin Has a New Pill for Us to Take, The Clear Pill

Mencius Moldbug (aka Curtis Yarvin) was the tech savant who got interested in the power structures of the modern world.  He is credited with borrowing the red pill/blue pill imagery from the “The Matrix” and using it as an analogy for waking up to how the world really is run.

In this new set of posts, over at Claremont Institute’s “the American Mind,” he describes, in his typically long, highly elaborate way, a thought experiment to try to get at the objective truth of how our society is actually controlled as opposed to the official version.

Yarvin is not an easy read.  His writing style is expansive.  It reminds me of a spider spinning a web that spirals out and out until you can’t even remember where you started.  But I find him extremely interesting.
