Skipping the Disunion of the States

So they’re going to shoot Dopey Joe up with Ritalin and fill the gallery with BLM and Antifa and everybody will clap for the Ukraine and award Joe the Congressional Medal of Honor for shooting down the Chinese Balloon.  Does that sound like a good time to you?

I don’t think I could stand that much fun.  I think I’ll skip it.  I’ll use the time on something more productive.  I’ll scrape hard water stains off the shower floor.  I’ll be MIA this afternoon so I’m writing this piece now.  I read an article about the approach Ron DeSantis took for reforming that Florida state college.  He appointed conservatives to the Board of Directors and they fired the college president on day one.  Now they’re working on removing the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion department and will begin hiring new professors for the upcoming school year.

Now, that’s the way to do it.  Cut off the head and start over.  No pussyfooting around the edges.  Go for the jugular.  It’s beautiful.  Now, how about the rest of the Florida State University system?  I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again.  I think the country gains much more with Ron DeSantis as the governor of Florida as opposed to him being president.  The president is a hostage of the intelligence agencies.  He should be the chairman of the Red State governors’ council (when they get around to forming one) and he can begin to help the rest of the country free itself from Washington’s corrosive effects.

It’s going to take coordination and planning to begin neutralizing the damage that Washington does and Ron DeSantis could maximize the good he can do by beginning to formalize a relationship between the Red States.  The first step would be to define what a Red State is.  Would it just consist of republican dominance of the state’s government?  Or would it include social positions too?  Obviously too much purity testing would blow up the whole process of forming a coalition but I think some list of basic positions must be established.  But they should make a start on it.  And high on the list of actions is a mechanism for protecting their citizens from federal persecution for the unconstitutional actions of the federal government.

And protecting police officers and police departments from the Justice Department is at the top of the list.  The chaos we’ve lived through for the last decade on account of Obama’s Justice Department attacking the police proves that.  Without the police doing their job things descend into anarchy, as we’ve seen in all the big cities of late.

So, the 2024 election is on everybody’s minds.  But I’m more interested in seeing the governors get together and start to organize themselves into something that can help us now.  Because as far as I can tell, the federal government is lost.  At the very least, if Ron DeSantis wants to be president, he’d better leave a successor to carry on the work he started.  Maybe he can have his wife get the job.  I’m sure he’ll have some influence with her and make sure she doesn’t go Left.  Then when he is term-limited out he can get back to work in Florida trying to restore freedom to America, one state at a time.

06FEB2023 – OCF Update – The Day After the Big Day

Yesterday was a very good day.  American Greatness (AG) ran that post I wrote on the possibility of a multi-ethnic country preserving American constitutional freedoms.  And on top of that, Whatfinger linked to both the AG article and the post about it that I put up on OCF.  That drove a large amount of web traffic to OCF and to AG.  And the comments at both sites were very lively.  The AG commenters were a mixture of dissidents, conservatives and even a couple of progressives who took a lot of flak.  I think the discussion was interesting.  And I hope it pointed some new readers in our direction.  After all every website needs some new blood to make up for attrition.  By my accounting I only need 9,997,000 more readers to reach my goal of domination over the right-wing blogosphere.  But Rome wasn’t built in a day.  I’ll bide my time.

All the heat will be on McCarthy going into the budget wars.  We will hear the media declare him a monster who wants to destroy the United States by defaulting on the US debts.  I’m very interested in seeing how much courage he can muster in the face of the attacks coming his way.  I wonder if he will replace Trump as the new Hitler.  It’s probably inevitable.  The upside is that Biden may actually stroke out during one of his demented harangues.  If he does it on live tv that would be wonderful theater.

But I haven’t figured out if Biden randomly dropping dead is better or worse for the Democrats’ succession plan.  Think of it.  Harris becomes president.  That level of stupid controlling the most powerful country on the planet might drive us to the singularity we’re always hearing about.  Starting at the point where she tries to repeat the oath of office, the White House could be sucked into a black hole of negative intelligence followed by the rest of the solar system.  Alpha Centauri should be relatively safe.

I wonder what that would be like.  After we each crash through the event horizon would our quarks meld into Harris’ and would our essence then become as stupid as she is through quantum entanglement?  It’s too frightening to consider.  Or would our consciousness remain distinct but trapped for the rest of the life of the universe with someone endlessly spewing out drivel about a little girl sitting on a school bus.  That’s pretty close to hell.

But I digress, as usual.

We’ve run out of Chinese balloons but there’s no shortage of Russian artillery.  It appears that the long anticipated Russian offensive in the Donbass is beginning.  First up is a town called Bakhmut which over the last few weeks has been very gradually encircled.  Real information is hard to find but apparently even the Ukrainians are beginning to prepare their side to the eventuality of Bakhmut’s capture by the Russians.  After that it looks like more consolidation and then the next encirclement, probably Siver’sk.  Boy, these Slavic placenames are difficult to figure.  And I noticed several towns close to each other with the same name.  That can’t be right.  There must be some modifiers to allow the locals to distinguish between these places.  Anyway, it looks like the pace is picking up in this slow-motion war.  More misery.

Well, that’s enough for now.  Let’s see what’s the next big thing this week.  Have a good night.

The School Bus Beating

I won’t hazard a guess that most people have seen the clip of the nine year old girl on the school bus being mercilessly beaten by a fifteen year old boy.  But a lot have.

The boy is black.  The girl is light skinned and I’ve heard her described as white or Hispanic in various articles.

So this is video will be a touchstone that will reveal the underlying point of view of the viewer.  For many middle classed people, white or black, watching a skinny little 9 year old girl being pummeled by a powerful teenage boy is shocking and horrifying.  Add into it the current effort by states to redistribute the largely black urban poor into the suburbs and this video would seem to confirm the worst fears of suburban parents.

I’ve seen online videos made by black Americans denouncing those who point to this video as proof of the overtly violent culture of the black underclass.  I think they’re wasting their time.  You won’t convince most parents that what is seen in this video is normal behavior in a school bus.  I’m guessing this video is producing a groundswell of applications to local private and religious schools around the country.

Now here is a black law enforcement officer who isn’t playing the race card.  He’s being honest about violence in the “black community.”  Probably because he knows about it up close and personal.  More black people will have to learn to speak honestly about the realities of the dysfunctional behaviors that are only getting worse in their community.  How that happens I don’t know.  But if it doesn’t get addressed white flight from blue states will be the only solution for people who don’t want their families victimized by the behavior seen in this video.

Am. Greatness Publishes Rambling Ravings of Some Crackpot Named photog

So after Michael Anton wrote his final defense of natural rights in which he very interestingly quoted one of my posts, I found a number of reactions in the comments section thought provoking.  Mostly they were apologies for the Z-Man based on the premise (which is one of the underpinnings of the Dissident Right) that a multiracial society is doomed to failure because of the biological differences between people.

I thought that was worth discussing further and so I wrote my article and I was happy to find that American Greatness was willing to feature it on their worthy site.  So here is the link and I hope everyone goes over and reads it and leaves all kinds of interesting and highly complimentary comments that proclaim my groundbreaking insights and the general brilliance of Orion’s Cold Fire as both a font of political wisdom and also a source of entertaining cultural content.

Does Inequality Make America Impossible?

Peachy Keenan Over at The American Mind Has a Clever Article on Dysphoria, Gender and Otherwise

In her article she asserts that these poor children who are being told that the natural doubts every girl has over her appearance are being equated with some fictitious transgender inner sense.  She informs them that there is no relief from dysphoria through drugs and surgery because age will degrade the appearance of even the most beautiful of us.  The only hope of immortality is in producing the next generation.  And only people who haven’t mutilated their sex organs are going to be involved in that miracle.

To Save the West, First Save the Breasts

04FEB2023 – OCF Update – That’s Brisk, Baby

So, we survived last night without major incident.  The wind was banging stuff around the Compound for a good part of the night and even with the heat on through out the house it was about 64 degrees inside.  Of course, at 7am it was -12 degrees by the thermometer outside Camera Girl’s kitchen window.  So, I’m guessing it really was at least -15 degrees in the depths of the night.  It’s up to 10 degrees outside now and the middle floor is up to 65 degrees.  I haven’t had the courage to go downstairs where my gym equipment is.  I’ll bet it’s in the thirties down there.  Maybe I’ll get up the courage to work out later but it’s a daunting thought.

I’ve been reading the news items on the Chinese balloons.  I have to say our country really has descended into farce.  In fact, I think this is another marker showing how much we’ve decayed.  Our rivals now send spy equipment over our ICBM silos with impunity.  What’s next?  Will China annex Hawaii?  Considering what a pathetic figure we cut I really couldn’t blame them for trying.

Well, we’ve made it past Groundhog Day and now we’re headed for Valentine’s Day and I’ll have to think of something nice to do for Camera Girl.  The malicious part of me, the part that belongs in a strait jacket, wanted to present the new toaster oven I got her yesterday as a Valentine Day present.  Luckily my better angel got the upper hand.  I think I’ll take her out for a meal instead.  She’s been making all these great soups lately and I really should show my appreciation.

So, I finally got my “blue check” on Twitter.  It hasn’t seemed to make any difference to my visibility but at least now if I’m banished, I’ll have the consolation that they won’t get my eight bucks the next month (or whatever amount it is).

There may be a special event happening on the site tomorrow.  I had a notification about it but I’ll wait to see if it pans out before I go into detail.  The site has been livelier lately with more people participating in the comments and some new guest contributors coming aboard.  And that suits me.  I’d love to get to the point where my contributions were in the minority.  Does that make me a proponent of diversity.  Well, probably not by the definition that the Left uses.  But maybe by the one that should be used.

So, things are going well.  Next week is going to be a kind of busy week in the real world but I’ll do my best to keep the site active and heaven knows what madness Dopey Joe and his merry band of morons will be cooking up for us.  The State of the Union speech is coming up and I can’t make up my mind whether I want to bother to watch it or not.  I figure Ilhan Omar and the rest of the banshees might come wearing striped prison uniforms, manacles and leg irons.  I wouldn’t want to miss something like that but listening to the Moron in Chief gassing on and on for hours would be more than I could tolerate.  Maybe I’ll wait for the blooper reel.

Well anyway, enough of this.  Enjoy your weekend and stay warm!

03FEB2023 – The Dunwich Complainer – Polar Vortex Blues

As predicted the bottom fell out of the thermometer today.  The surrounding areas of southern New England will be experiencing temperatures as low as -15 degrees Fahrenheit and fifty mph winds that will be blamed on the polar vortex.  Of course, here in Dunwich we have a slightly different climatic event.  The pole that our vortex is generated by is the galactic pole of the Milky Way.  The Supermassive Black Hole at the center of the Milky Way, Sagittarius A* causes a worm hole to open up from time to time in the center of the Dunwich town dump.  Out of that cosmic orifice flows an irresistible plasma of pure neutronium moving at 99.99999% of light speed.  Today the beam punched a perfectly round eight-foot hole through Josiah Whatley’s barn and astronomers believe that it sliced Pluto in half on its exit from the solar system.

But much more importantly, it knocked out the electric power and cable access to First Selectman Cthulhu’s abode.  Now the First Selectman is a big fan of Vanna and Pat.  He watches Wheel of Fortune religiously.  Well, that is if the word religiously can be used at all to describe a blasphemous eldritch creature.  But suffice it to say he was not happy.  I could hear him stomping up the hill toward my house.  You see he doesn’t use a cell phone, he’s got a land line that runs over the same cable so he had to visit me personally instead of calling.

Since he’s a hundred feet tall I could see him coming from several miles away.  Wanting to avoid the possible blowback from Camera Girl sassing this squid-headed town official I went to meet him.  When I got within shouting distance, I greeted him politely and he began to ooze slime from his mouth.  It was quite nauseating and frightening.  “Alright you insignificant morsel of bland monkey meat, I want you to restore the cable before 7:30 pm.  It’s LX week and that means there’s the potential for an extra forty thousand in the bonus round and I hear Vanna’s going to be wearing a sparkly dress tonight and she always looks completely delicious in one of those.  So, make it happen.  Right?”  I said I would get right on it and he let out a deafening bellow that whipped slime into the air.  Then he turned around and plodded back down the hill toward his lair.

I drove down to the dump and sized up the neutronium beam.  I could see that after exiting Whatley’s barn it had taken out a telephone pole that fed the street that ended near the First Selectman’s cave.  It seemed simple enough to have the cable company temporarily bypass around the beam and restore the service.  And the cable company truck was right down the road.  But I could see that the license plate on the truck was from out of state.  Apparently, he wasn’t local so perhaps he had never seen a tear in the fabric of space time up close and personal.  Also he probably had never seen Cthulhu before.

When I reached the truck, I saw a man in his thirties holding the steering wheel in a death grip and staring popeyed at the neutronium beam.  I had seen this kind of reaction by out of towners quite often.  I tried to be casual.  “Howdy friend, how’s it going?  Hey I’m glad you’re here to get the cable working again so soon.  Looks like an easy fix.  What do you think?”

He was hyperventilating and I could tell that he hadn’t heard a word I’d said.  It occurred to me that he probably had seen the First Selectman saunter by.  I reached into the window and pulled his key out of the ignition and opened the passenger side door and got in.  He saw me and his head turned sideways toward me and he made some gurgling kind of sounds.  “Now look here, there’s nothing to get excited about.  You’re a professional and you can’t let a little thing like a hundred-foot squid-headed dragon stop you from providing an essential service to the community.  I’m sure that your company has provided you with the standard sensitivity and diversity trainings.  Well, here’s your chance to put that training into practice.  Cthulhu is a proud American just as are you.  He’s been an inhabitant of this locale for over 450 million years and he is a pillar of the community.  He cheers on our local high school teams and attends the harvest carnival fair without fail.  Sure, he may eat the prize-winning bull from time to time but who doesn’t get a little carried away with all that carnival junk food.  As you very well know diversity is our strength.  Whether it’s transgender women excelling in athletics or undocumented Americans voting in their first election or a Great Old One enjoying a classic American game show while snacking on a really large portion of road salt.   So come on man, buck up and let’s get that cable back up pronto or he’s going to come pounding down that road and eat you and your truck in one mouthful.

The look of horror on his face didn’t disappear.  It sort of twisted sideways a little bit.  It’s hard to describe.  His left eye mostly closed and his upper and lower jaws were a little offset sideways.  But his right eye seemed to focus on me and he made some slightly less incoherent noises and he tried to climb out of his truck.  He fell out and ended up on his back.  But this seemed to have a revitalizing effect on him and he sat up and looked almost sentient.  I said, “That’s the spirit.  Let me help you up fella.  You’ve got this, don’t you?”

Well, by five thirty he had managed to get the cables spliced together and although they were laying on the ground they restored cable service to the draco-cephalopodic occupant of 407 Dagon Avenue.  I told him the polar vortex would shut down in a few hours and a proper repair could be done by the local service crew that was currently repairing other more mundane problems in the area.  At this point most of his hair had turned white and he had a tic in his left eye.  I slipped him a ten spot and told him to have a nice evening.  He drove off very slowly and he may have veered over the divider a few times.  I hope he made it.  Seemed like a nice guy.

I returned home and had dinner and later on while Camera Girl was watching Wheel of Fortune I remarked to her, “You know that sparkly dress really does make Vanna look completely delicious.”  She scowled at me and said, “You need help.”
