It’s Much Worse Than I Thought

So the Republican Congressmen took a vote on kicking Liz Cheney out of her leadership position.  The result was, “Just 61 Republicans voted to remove Cheney from her post, while 145 voted for her to stay in a vote by secret ballot.”

So the House Republicans are just as useless as the rest of the Republican establishment.  Well good.  Too bad it was a secret ballot.  An open vote would make it that much easier to primary the rest of these rats.  I hope that whoever is serious about rebuilding a party that would represent Free America will make a point of primarying Cheney and McCarthy next year.

But honestly, other than as an amusing form of revenge, thinking about the Republicans is just another waste of everyone’s time.  What are they other than more cogs in the same machine that perpetuates the obvious lies that we all are fed day and night by American Pravda.  Let the Left do its worst.  When the humiliation and anger get extreme enough people will be forced to make a choice.  Give in, leave or fight back.  Fold, Flee or Fight.

What’s on My Mind Today

Yesterday was a sort of hectic day.  I had to clear the snow from the driveways so I could get out and head off on an errand.  That kind of interrupted the usual time I like to take in the morning for the site and for reading up on stuff.  Today is sort of back to normal but when I looked around there wasn’t too much to review.

There were the usual atrocities by the Dems and the usual useless hand waving by the GOPe.  Blah, blah, blah.  There was that nice piece of news about DeSantis going after the Social Media sites that discriminate against conservatives.  It’s encouraging to see that a few red state governors have some desire to help us.  Excellent.  May twenty more do just as much.  Then we’d have something to talk about.

And since the news didn’t take much time, I started thinking about what is meaningful for me to do with my time and with my website.  One of my fans said I should do more with the photography side of things.  He likes the macro stuff I do and thinks I should put it up on YouTube as a slide show montage thing.  That sounds kind of interesting.  I’m also thinking about publishing some art books with the landscape and macro stuff.  I also have been neglecting my fiction writing during the inauguration excitement but now that things are slowing down, I really must get some discipline and put in the hours to move those projects along.  I’ll put up links to these other things here on the site.

On the local front I’ve had some friends show interest in putting together the first local chapter of the He-Man Woman Hater’s Club.  High on the agenda for the club was hammering out the rules for the poker game.  There were some who wanted to allow for a high stakes option.  I was completely opposed for a couple of reasons.  One is that I want to allow for the widest possible socio-economic inclusivity (there is that word sneaking in!).  Even the least of my brothers must be able to enjoy the benefits of manly camaraderie.  The other is that I’m a truly awful poker player and I don’t want to be beaten by Camera Girl if I lose the milk money.  The next question on the agenda is whether sandwiches will be premade or assembled as needed.  My opinion was that each man must build his own sandwich and that only a few sandwich building breaks should be allotted.  Otherwise, the game would become too fragmented.  Of course, chips and drinks can be snagged at the end of every hand.  And finally, the type of poker was debated strenuously.  Some of the younger guys said it should be strictly Texas Hold’em.  Having been raised on draw and stud poker I resisted this idea.  But I went as far as to agree that some limits be made on the side bets for high spade and other distractions.

All of this was very gratifying and sound.  But what brought us all up to a halt was setting the date for the first game.  After all we’re still in the “lockdown.”  If we assemble at someone’s house, we’ll have to shut our lights as we near the driveway and camouflage the parked cars for fear that the neighborhood Karens will rat us out to the storm troopers.  I mean, I like a good ham swiss and mustard as much as the next guy but getting tased and thrown in the local COVID tank with the other sinners is a bit much.  We tabled the item with the understanding that it would be in April or May.

But just talking to the “boys” about some old-fashioned male bonding was inspirational.  It’s good to be making plans again and living in the future and not just dwelling on the nightmares of the recent past.  If you think about it, other than this COVID crap the government really doesn’t have much of a stranglehold on what adults do with their lives.  Lying to the authorities and our bosses at work will become second nature the way it does in any totalitarian state but we can still be ourselves with our friends and family.  And one day we’ll pull the whole thing down around their ears and march them off to the gulag as payback.

So today is a good day to plan and get things done.

03FEB2021 – Red State Initiative – Florida vs Big Tech

Florida actually has a Republican governor who isn’t afraid of the Left.

Gov. DeSantis announces legislation to crack down on big tech, online censorship    WTXL Tallahassee

Now if a few more red state governors get their acts together maybe something meaningful will be done.  If fifteen states slammed the cable providers for allowing the Big Techs to use their infrastructure to discriminate against Americans we might see some interesting action.

Will McCarthy Protect Cheney or Heed the Voice of the Voters

According to an article in the Federalist House Minority Leader McCarthy has to decide tomorrow whether he will save Liz Cheney from a majority of Republican House members that want to kick her out of her leadership job.  It should be a very telling moment.  Political hacks are very hesitant to turn on other political hacks at the leadership level.  It’s basically unheard of.  If in fact McCarthy sacrifices Cheney then to my mind that means that Donald Trump effectively runs the Republican Party.

Cheney made noises like Nancy Pelosi in blaming the Capitol incursion on President Trump.  She has enraged the Wyoming electorate and it is a pretty safe bet that she will get the heave-ho in 2022.  But this is a great test to see just how much the congress-critters understand about their status with the voters.  If McCarthy protects Cheney I would not be surprised to see him primaried out of office in 2022 also.

At this point the Republican Congressmen and Senators are as useless as testicles on Mitt Romney.  The only way they can hope to maintain the support of the voters is if they demonstrate at every turn an understanding of the mood of the conservative voters.  And one thing the conservative voters are not in the mood for is neocons attacking Donald Trump while he is speaking the truth about the stolen elections.

The only useful thing that the elections can do at this point is to allow us to fire RINOs.  First action should be all ten of the reps who voted for impeachment.  After that we’ll have to go through the list of Senators.  Some are easy.  Murkowski, Romney and Sasse are three of the five senators who voted against Rand Paul’s resolution against the impeachment.  They should be easy.  The other two Collins and Toomey aren’t actionable.  Collins just got re-elected and in six years she will be two hundred years old and automatically turned into an historical landmark.  Toomey is retiring and besides since he is in Pennsylvania honest voting is a meaningless concept.

Now all of this is strictly for sweet revenge.  These rats should be punished as soon as possible and they should never be allowed to run for dog catcher after this.  But just to be clear, the real political action that needs to be taken will have to be at the state level.  All conservative leaders need to coordinate actions across the length and breadth of red state America coming up with actions that can protect their citizens against Dementia Joe and the rest of the evil trolls.  Any red state with a blue city should work out a strategy to  criminalize the Antifa activity to such an extent that all of those cretins will be sent to the big-house for the rest of their lives.  And policies should be formulated to punish the Big Tech companies that discriminate against their citizens.  And they can drop the hammer on the schools and college that proselytize their children.

These are where the real politics will take place.  But firing RINOs will be a nice diversion in the meantime.

02FEB2021 – OCF Update – Happy Groundhog Day

Well just like Bill Murray in the movie, snow is making my life difficult.  It will be slow here on the site while I move X number of tons of snow and then head off to the dentist for Marathon Man fun and games.  I’ll update this update later when time allows.

Update:

Neill has suggested that a machine could replace me in my epic battle with the forces of nature.  But just as John Henry defeated the Steam Engine, I will defeat the bot.  Or die trying.  Well, maybe not.  I’ll probably split the work up into two days.  But it’s still plenty heroic of me.

Nothing Left to Fear

When the Dissident Right mocks the people who haven’t given up hope of fixing the country conventionally, their favorite line of ridicule is, “Maybe if we just vote harder next time we’ll win.”  The irony is this time we voted as hard as it is possible to vote and we lost by millions.  Basically, the Democrats proved that they can rig any number of votes necessary to win.

So that’s that.  As the dissidents are fond of saying, “We’re not voting our way out of this.”  A few months ago, I said our choices are Fold, Flee or Fight.  None of those are easy choices to make and I still haven’t decided between Flee or Fight.

But one thing is now better.  I no longer have to be afraid of whatever the next thing the Left manufactures to upset me.  For instance, the latest outrages include:

  • D.C. and Puerto Rico will get statehood.
  • Citizenship for sixty million illegals.
  • Make gun ownership illegal.
  • Criminalize Christianity.
  • Criminalize masculinity.

Whatever.  I don’t care.  Trying to figure out how we can scrape together enough votes in the Senate and the House and how to win back the White House and engineer reliable votes on the Supreme Court is just a stupid game they play with us.  They won’t let us win and we won’t win by voting harder.  When all is said and done, I still have three choices, Fold, Flee or Fight.  And none of the things that the Left can do change those choices.  Sure, if they ban guns then it’ll be harder to fight.  But you have to be willing to fight in order for that disadvantage to even matter.  Outvoting me with DC or Puerto Rico is academic.  They outvote us by fraud.  Why should I care if they increase that voting edge?  Can I lose twice in the same election?  If they officially take away my freedom of speech and religion is that much worse than what is going on right now?  Not really.

Short of sending me to an actual arctic prison camp there really isn’t much that they can do to make things worse.  We already live under a coercive tyranny.  The prospect of the Left making things incrementally worse really isn’t scary anymore for me.

In fact, I almost hope they’ll ratchet things up a whole bunch.  If things got much, much worse then I’ll have to make one of those choices.

So, go ahead Dementia Joe, Cryin’ Chuck and Crazy Nancy.  Declare George Floyd’s Birthday a national holiday.  Get Bruce Jenner crowned as Miss America.  Have Miley Cyrus canonized.

I don’t care.

And that feels great.  None of that crap has anything to do with me.  That’s an alternate reality that I never signed on for.  In my reality Bruce Jenner is a self-mutilated mental patient.  George Floyd was a fentanyl addict that mixed it up with the cops.  Miley Cyrus is an ex-Disney child actress turned attention whore.  Joe Biden is a hack politician and a creepy sexual deviant who likes to paw little girls and women.  Kamala Harris is a literal whore who parlayed her sexual favors into a political career in California.  Nancy Pelosi is a drunk who traded on her father’s name as a politician to enrich her husband’s real estate investments through her patronage.

In my reality human beings have the right to freedom of association, religion, speech and self-defense.  If none of those things exist in the place I currently live maybe that’s a good reason to fight the system or leave.  So, thank you Leftists.  You’re making it easier to do something hard to do.

01FEB2021 – Funniest Headline of the Morning – Exclusive: Dozens of former Bush officials leave Republican Party, calling it ‘Trump cult’

It’s a Reuters link so don’t click it if you don’t want to give them the business but the nonsense is so hilarious.  Here are the highlights.

Dozens of Republicans in former President George W. Bush’s administration are leaving the party, dismayed by a failure of many elected Republicans to disown Donald Trump after his false claims of election fraud sparked a deadly storming of the U.S. Capitol last month.

Oh no!  What are we gonna do without these traitors?  My guess is this is their pathetic signal to the Biden administration that they are available to work in his swamp.  But I’m guessing he has plenty of far leftwing whackos to inhabit the environs of the State and other departments.

“If it continues to be the party of Trump, many of us are not going back,” Rosario Marin, a former Treasurer of the U.S. under Bush, told Reuters. “Unless the Senate convicts him, and rids themselves of the Trump cancer, many of us will not be going back to vote for Republican leaders.”

They’re not coming back?  Oh if only we were so lucky.  Wherever and whenever the Right comes back into power these useless leeches will crawl back onto it to suck the blood out of it.  The beauty of being out of power is that we can see exactly which congress-critters cozy up to the Left.  Primary them.  If the RINO wins the primary then vote in the Democrat in the general election.  It’s better to have the Democrat than a traitor.  Once we’ve eliminated them we can try to put good people in.  But the same rule goes from now on.  If someone prefers the Democrat agenda replace him in the next round.  Very simple.

Theater vs Reality

The ZMan often makes the distinction between what he calls the Dissident Right and everyone else by the analogy of a river crossing.  So, if you’ve come around to the opinions of the Dissident Right then you’ve crossed that river and from the vantage point of the other side everything looks different.

And in a lot of ways, I’ve made that crossing.  I no longer see any hope of wresting control of the United States from the Leftists.  They hold all the levers of power and short of military force they will not relinquish them even to legitimate voting majorities.  The only thing that separates me from the dissidents is their belief that some kind of racial apartheid is necessary to prevent the madness of progressivism from ruining life.  I don’t see how that follows.  I still think that a color-blind approach to people is the correct one.  Human beings are all different but one standard allows everyone the ability to achieve their own personal best.  I’ve always known that there are people who are smarter and more-hard working than I am.  And I do not envy them whatever additional success that provides them.  And by the same token there are plenty of people who will be less successful than I am.  I feel no guilt about what that means for them.  I do think that there is a natural desire to help the less fortunate.  What I reject is the idea that we owe the less gifted some kind of blackmail so that they won’t accuse us of conspiring against them.

So, from the point of view of the Dissident Right I’m still on the other side of the river but from my point of view I’ve run out of faith in the United States of America.  As far as I’m concerned it only exists in the minds of the non-leftists who remember what it stood for.  The reality is the post-America we live in, where Dementia Joe occupies the White House bunker and Nancy Pelosi is installed behind the razor wire of the Capitol.

Now that I’ve finished my preamble, I’ll talk about the ZMan’s post.  It’s called “The Decoupling.”  And by that he means that people who have crossed the river slowly lose interest in the political theater going on in Washington and the other power centers.  They no longer see it as anything other than as a distraction that is meant to keep the masses occupied with whatever the latest outrage they want to inflict on us is.  Will they allow gays in the military?  Will they legalize gay marriage?  Will they allow the looters to burn down our cities?  Will they allow men into women’s bathrooms?  Will they give citizenship to 60 million illegal aliens?

And to the extent that you’ve given up on the concept of the United States you do stop caring about any of this.  When Marco Rubio sends me an e-mail telling me I have to send him a hundred bucks so that he can cry on the floor of the Senate about something that he is upset about, I delete it and block his e-mail account.  If Kevin McCarthy e-mails me to say he’s organizing a brilliant strategy to retake the House that includes giving the leadership spots to RINOs I delete his e-mail and block his e-mail account.  But if Representative Biedermann tell me about Texit and that other states are thinking about the same thing now he’s got my attention.  I’ll e-mail him and ask if I can help.

I’ve disconnected from the theater.  If someone has a plan to do something real, I’m interested.  So, I haven’t completely shut down my reception.  I’ve just tuned out the noise.

Karol Markowicz says “The Future is Florida”

In her Washington Examiner post the New York Post writer extols the combination of sane Republican leadership by Governor DeSantis, sensible COVID policies and pro-business laws.  These things have made Florida a destination for refugeees fleeing New York and the other locked down Democrat-run nightmare states that litter the map of blue state America.

In a recent  discussion I had with some friends there was a debate about heading for a “libertarian” state like New Hampshire based on low taxes and 2nd amendment rights.  But many of us know that New Hampshire is in the final throes of becoming Massachusetts North.  Whereas several people were much more enthusiastic about Florida and Texas.  These were big strong states that haven’t already gone blue like New Hampshire already has.

It’s a fun article because it acknowledges the clear advantages to living in Florida over places like New York and California with their insane tax policies, Stalin-era social controls and COVID lockdowns.  If you are thinking of moving to a better place this is a good intro to Florida’s selling points.

Texit Envy

Yesterday I listed among my Friday finds an interview at the Gateway Pundit with Texas State Representative Kyle Biedermann about the Texit Bill that he will introduce into the Texas legislature to begin the process of determining if the citizens of Texas want to leave the United States and reassert their sovereignty as the Republic of Texas.

During the interview Representative Biedermann mentioned that there are other states that are also interested in pursuing the idea of becoming independent of Washington.  So, I went to the Texit website to see what else I could find out.  There was quite bit of information on the Texit project but no other information on any other states looking into independence.  But just knowing that something was going on to finally push back against the Left was like getting a shot of pure oxygen after breathing stale air for a week.

As I’ve said many times before, I am tethered to the area by the grandchildren living here and Camera Girl would fight me like a tiger if I tried to move her away from them.  But a day will come when moving will be possible and if Texas does this great thing, I feel sure I would go there.  And I wouldn’t be surprised if others of my family joined me.  There has been talk already of fleeing the Northeast for freer areas but even red states are currently under the thumb of the federal government.

The idea of Texas gaining independence is thrilling enough but imagine if a number of contiguous states join them in some sort of loose confederation.  I feel drunk just thinking of it.  Imagine escaping from the Leftists once and for all.  Never again having to be called racists during another election.  Never having to live under laws that force you to lose the rights of a free man to property, religion, speech free association and self-defense.

I was trying to think what would be the greatest pleasure that I would get from states gaining their freedom and I think it would be never having to have idiots like Barack Obama or Joe Biden spoken of as the leader of my nation.  I would never have to listen to Nancy Pelosi or Chuck Schumer make a speech unless doing it for laughs.  I wouldn’t be surrounded by fools who would let the federal government lock us in our homes and force us to wear masks for no reason.  I wouldn’t have a government that would allow lunatics to hijack the cities and burn down honest people’s shops to protest the death of some criminal.  I wouldn’t have to live in a place where the news stations tell me that I’m a racist and a science denier because I don’t believe in white privilege and I don’t think that a man wearing a dress is a woman.  Well, I guess that’s more than one thing but I think all those things are linked together.  Let’s just say that the greatest thing about living in a real Free America would be living in a place that wasn’t completely crazy by design.

As you can probably tell I’m pretty excited to hear about this movement in Texas and now I’m almost a little down knowing there’s not much I can do about it currently.  But what I will do is keep up with the information that becomes available and update the folks here on the site when something occurs.

I spent a few months down in Texas on an engineering assignment twenty-five years ago and those folks down there were so friendly that I was dumbfounded by it.  And the same thing happened every time I was in a red state.  It’s just wrong to allow good people to be badgered and tormented by sick demented weirdos just because they’ve rigged the system against us.  Here’s to hoping Texas makes it happen.
