Pre-Game Jitters and An Election Day Open Post

Note:Updates are added at the bottom of the post over the course of the day.  

Well here we go.  No matter how confident you may feel about the results of the upcoming elections you’re probably a little nervous about what will be going on for the next week or more.  And so am I.  I’m fairly certain the President will be re-elected relatively easily but fairly certain and sure are not the same thing.  Also, based on the actions of the woke lunatics infesting the cities around the country I’m pretty sure there will be at least a certain amount of bedlam and violence happening, especially if the polls show Trump winning.  As soon as that happens these creeps will go ballistic, especially in their strongholds like Portland and Seattle.  I expect there will be a certain number of murders and lots of arson and looting for sure.  And the Democrats and their army of crooked lawyers and judges will sow confusion and attempt to outright steal any states that aren’t strong enough to defend themselves.  And the Supreme Court will be the epicenter of the battle and John Roberts is a spineless loser who will do his damnedest to hurt our side.

But what I think is good advice is to try to keep the excitement level a couple of notches below maximum, so instead of eleven dial it back to seven.  It will be a long night for sure and it might even be a very long week of distressing news regardless of how well the election goes.  The world is full of very bad people and they will be looking to rattle our side as hard as they can.  And of course, the media is going to spin everything they can as negatively as they can for as long as they can.

I’m off this week and so as a way to keep morale up I intend to keep this as an open post going all the way through election day and even beyond if it is warranted.  I’ll try to combine election results, links to important or entertaining news along with my always witty and penetrating insights.  Anyone who has comments is, as usual, welcome to chime in with relevant or entertaining discussion.  I’m especially interested to hear about local conditions where you are.  Anything you find interesting about things going on during the election is exactly what I’m looking for.

So, let’s hope it ends like it did in 2016 with a river of progressive tears washing away the mounds of inaccurate polls and their howls drowning out the words of the talking heads trying to explain how they got it so wrong.  But even if it is a long confusing time of disputed election results and screeching progressives threatening to summon the military if their claims about disputed results aren’t honored immediately and unconditionally, remember to keep calm and look at the big picture.  There is no guarantee that elections will work in our favor every time or even at all.  The important thing is to be looking at how to prevent the Left from impacting you, your family and friends.  That’s something you can work on when we’re winning or losing.  And be willing to share a laugh or a kind word with anyone on our side that you meet here or elsewhere.

Best of luck to President Trump and the other folks on our side who are about to get on the roller coaster that is Election Day 2020.  And best wishes to all of us.  And as an old tv show used to say, “be careful out there.”

 

11:30 A.M. Update – Just got back from voting.  My little town turned out in phenomenal numbers.  The lines were epic.  But it was truly fun getting out and doing something useful.  One amusing event happened in line.  About two people behind me in line was this twenty something kid with a sort of goth persona; dyed black hair, black clothes, and the palest skin I’ve seen in years.  As we got close to the front of the line a middle aged woman comes out of the exit door and the young guy yells out have you voted for Joe Biden today.  She made a face like he had said something vile and exclaimed “Hell no!”  I almost burst out laughing but just chuckled a little instead.  I’ll have to say that restored my faith in humanity.  Even here in the belly of the beast, New England, there are plenty of good people left.

12:54 P.M. Note:  I’ve been sent an invite for a 9 pm zoom to serve as a remote election party.  Camera Girl has agreed to bake some pizza pies for me so I can have a reheat-able food available as the long night wears on.  She also plans to studiously ignore the goings on.  She is one of those benighted people who takes no interest in politics.  She claims I am responsible for taking care of that.  Ah well, she is making the pizza after all.  What social provisions is everyone else doing for this  momentous event?  Is it mostly a solitary one for you? 

3:22 P.M. – News Headline – Pelosi Calls Amy Coney Barrett an ‘Illegitimate Supreme Court Justice”

Can you imagine any normal person being called illegitimate by Nancy Pelosi.  At this point I don’t think Pelosi even qualifies as a living human.  As far as I can tell she’s now one of the undead.  The only question is whether she can qualify as a vampire if her sustenance is gin instead of blood.  Please Nancy stay in your  crypt, your scaring the children and Halloween is officially over.

7:03 P.M. – Trump wins Kentucky.  No surprise there.

7:33 P.M. – So far all the numbers are what you’d expect.  Some networks have already called VA for Biden with 0% counted.  But that’s probably a safe state to call for the Dems.  The interesting ones for us will be the Carolinas and Georgia.  If those go well it will bode well for the rest of the night.

7:55 P.M. – I was listening to Fox News but there are just too many progs there to make it enjoyable.  If anyone knows of a better live discussion let me know.

8:02 P.M. – SC was called for Trump.  Not a big surprise, but encouraging.

8:09 P.M. – Maryland, Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois and Massachusetts just got called for Biden with the usual 0%.  No surprises.

8:18 P.M. – Fox is saying that Trump looks like he is winning in Florida in unexpected places (Miami/Dade).

8:40 P.M. – Florida seems like it may be an easy win for Trump.

9:40 P.M. – The betting odds have now shifted to Trump.

10:10 P.M. – Everything seems to be going our way.  Fingers crossed.

10:51 P.M. – It looks like PA is shutting down the counting probably because Trump is so far ahead.

1:33 A.M. – So the crooked state officials are withholding the totals in PA and several other locales.  We’ll have to wait until the daylight to see how these criminals try to steal the election.  To be continued.

9:55 A.M. – Shennanigans seemed to have ensued.  Lawyers will have to sort this out.  But without a doubt MI looks like it will be needed.

Woke World – A Modest Proposal

For the most part I have not interacted with BLM or Antifa.  No one has marched outside my home or tried to burn down any stores or other businesses in my town.  And that’s understandable.  I live, as I’m fond of saying, twenty minutes from anywhere.  And that’s being generous with the definition of anywhere.  Because even that barely gets you to small town status.  I haven’t interacted with them and I hope it stays that way.  These people are dangerous and disgusting human beings.  They are holding hostage large swaths of the United States of America.

But who I have met, are the woke kids that have a semi-coherent lifestyle.  I worked until recently with a millennial who proudly admitted that he would never consider having children because humans are an affront to Gaia.  I cheerfully thanked him for providing the extra space and resources for my growing number of descendants and other close relatives.  This did not seem to please him.

As far as his “decision” to forego reproduction, looking at him I really didn’t think the risk of procreation was a terribly high for him.  There might be female humans who might agree to sharing a restaurant table during a company team building exercise but I’m pretty sure that the negotiations associated with setting up a human being manufacturing joint venture would not fall within his area of competency.  I think legally and biologically he was a man but having grown up in a household of six brothers I could pretty easily say that there was something missing.  Basically, he was spiritless.  He was whiny and preoccupied with all the things that were wrong with the world.  Listening to him it sounded like what he didn’t like was people living their lives the way they wanted.  Apparently, he had better things for them to do than raising their families and trying to enjoy their lives.  He had all kinds of restrictions he wanted them to embrace.  He had things he didn’t want them to eat, ride in, live in, buy, sell, heat their houses with, cool their houses with, cleaning their bodies and carrying their groceries with.  It was a remarkably comprehensive list of things that would cast them back to the eighteenth century.  But most importantly he desired them to stop having children, or if they must, limit it to one child.  I think his fondest hope was to bring the world population down to zero within his lifetime.  In other words, he was a very sad little man.  And remember this was a guy who held down a job.  Granted, he was a drone who guarded his tiny clerical turf as if he were Tsar of All the Russias but he got up most days and showed up at his desk to annoy dozens of people a day.  Within his circles I think he was a rock star.

Compare that to the mental defectives that are holed up in Seattle and Portland living in tents and defecating in public parks while harassing people trying to earn their daily bread.  These are people who deserve to be studied carefully with the object of finding a solution to their problems.  I am of the opinion that legislation should be written and passed to set up a game preserve somewhere in the Pacific Northwest that can be surrounded with a sixty-foot-tall electrified fence like the one they put around the T. Rex enclosure in the Jurassic Park movie.  The preserve could be stocked with soy beans and almond trees and these very weird people could be allowed to live out their horrifying lives without harming actual human beings.  I would even be willing to pipe in potable water and provide them with all the camping gear they needed.  Hell, I’d even throw in clothes and medical supplies if it meant never having to let them back out into the real world again.

But I’d like to go beyond these fruits of the problem and also look at the cause.  I’d like to gather up all the intersectionality and gender studies and multicultural and ethnic studies faculty at all the colleges and catapult these geniuses over the fence into Woke World.  Most of them probably would survive the flight.  I think.  If not I’m sure they’ll be celebrated by their disciples.  They might even bury them.  Although that is a lot of work and those people really aren’t big on work.  Anyway, we should put them all in there, add them to the zoo and give them the perfect laboratory for their utopian theories to play out in.  Why it would be paradise on earth.  I’d give them about three months.  After that the hierarchy they’d set up would begin the reign of terror and eventually the cannibalism would reduce the population to just a handful that would peter out to zero within a year or two.

Maybe you think I’m being ridiculous but actually these people have broken the social contract and want to destroy the country that has provided them with material wealth and living conditions undreamed of by the majority of the world.  Now granted, it’s embarrassingly located in their parents’ basement but such ingratitude deserves a fitting punishment.  Forcing them to live with the idiots that believe what they believe is poetic and every other kind of justice.  And it would be an object lesson to the rest of the intelligentsia that doesn’t like how we want to live.  That’s my idea of a two-state solution.

31OCT2020 – OCF Update – Happy Halloween

As is always the case in New England, the weather here is almost always annoying and always bizarre.  Halloween makes me think about trees full of yellow and red leaves and pumpkins in the garden and kids running from house to house getting candy.  Instead here we get 4 inches of snow and trees full of leaves get weighed down by all the snow those leaves will hold.  And when those overloaded branches crack some of them take the power lines.  So that’s what trick or treat looks like around here.  But I do enjoy complaining about New England weather so I guess there is a bright side to it.

I’ve been trying to be cautious about my optimism on the election but it’s getting more difficult.  The tenor of news coming from the official organs of the Democrat establishment, (CNN, MSNBC, NYT, WP, and the tv networks) really doesn’t sound very hopeful for Creepy Uncle Joe.  Even the “good” news sounds like them whistling past the graveyard.  Now maybe 2016 has permanently traumatized them and provided some much needed hesitance to embrace polls that have been shown consistently biased in only one direction.  But I’ve got to tell you that when the black celebrities start flirting with endorsing Trump and Hispanic polls start veering dangerously high for the President it gets harder and harder to see Joe winning.  I and my cronies will spend Election Night overeating and discussing the results as they come in.  I’ll open up a post for comments and will update the post with thoughts, snide comments and hopefully links to video of suicidal leftists.

Happy Halloween.  I’ll continue to review horror and sf&f movies right through the holiday and beyond.  I always enjoy the fun of seeing old movies I haven’t seen in decades and praising them or mocking them (or both).  I still haven’t gotten the resources together to review the movies and books of the Thomas Harris (Red Dragon, Silence of the Lambs, Hannibal, etc.) series completely.  Some of the books are no longer around the house (you have to get rids of some things) and I haven’t seen some of the movies in years.  But that’s still on the radar.  Because of the movie reviews and the election I have been a little remiss on my Star Trek reviews but that will be fixed soon.

And finally, I have been talking about how I think the COVID crisis will be allowed to peter out once the election is over.  Currently New England is in full blown panic because testing is showing a spike in new cases.  If my theory is correct, the state governments and media will discover that COVID has suddenly become much less dangerous.  I’m dying for that to be so because I would love to salvage at least Christmas this year.  Let’s see.

Addressing the Status of Less Crazy Leftists

Recently during a phone call, a friend of mine asked my opinion on Glenn Greenwald.  For those unaware Greenwald was involved in the Snowden NSA leaks and has written on many aspects of the government overreach on privacy issues.  He has of late been very critical of the lock step solidarity by the tech giants and the Democratic/MSM complex to censor important news stories based on partisan viewpoint.

During the phone call I was pretty heatedly adamant that Glenn Greenwald wasn’t an ally, he was part of the Left and therefore my opponent.  But thinking about it for a while I figure it’s worthwhile clarifying exactly how I characterize guys like Greenwald and Taibbi.  In a short phrase I’d call them honest Leftists.  They believe in most of the things that the woke psychos believe in but they also believe in the Bill of Rights.  They don’t think it’s acceptable for the government to conspire with the media to railroad someone even if he’s a no-good conservative.  They probably don’t mind if Google algorithmically advantages the Left and disadvantages the Right but they don’t want it suppressing news outlets from broadcasting their stories across their platform.

And when I see a Matt Taibbi story calling MSNBC and the New York Times hypocrites for running stories that they know are false in order to advantage the Democrats, I praise him.  And when Greenwald is willing to walk away from the website that he founded because the owner forbids him to speak honestly about the Hunter Biden story then I praise him.  And what I am praising is his honesty and moral consistency.  And nowadays that’s a lot.  On left or right that’s a rare thing.  It’s an admirable trait and deserves praise.  It should be recognized and praised.

What it’s not is a reason to “reach across the aisle” and try to form an alliance.  That was the mistake that conservatives made with the neoconservatives.  Conservatives thought that because both sides wanted a strong defense against the Russians and free market capitalism that we could join forces and work a compromise that would work to both sides’ advantage.  Instead we got a series of wars in the Middle East and a globalist financial agenda while they adopted all of the social policies of the far Left.  That meant gay marriage, transgenderism, open borders, intersectionality in our schools and BLM in the streets.

And as long as all of these things were slowly assimilated into the culture without violence in the street and approved by the Supreme Court voted in by the Uniparty then the neocons would be fine with it.  And if you weren’t fine with it  then you were a racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic bigot.  And the same slippery slope goes double for Matt Taibbi and Glenn Greenwald.  All they require is that all the i’s are dotted and the t’s are crossed.  They are honest and they honestly want all the things that make life in America awful.  The only difference is that they’re willing to let you say what you think before they call you a racist homophobe.  The woke people want to silence you so you can’t even say it, or write it or even think it.  They need to be dealt with drastically.  They need to be put out of business.  Taibbi and Greenwald can be ignored.

Bottom line, I respect Taibbi and Greenwald.  But they are not my friends, allies or partners.  They are my enemies even if they are enemies whose honesty I respect.

When the Mainstream Media Descends into Self-Parody

I just skimmed through a magazine article called (so help me this is true):

“How Joe Biden Is Positioning Himself as a Modern FDR”

It was published in what is left on-line of Time magazine and written by Charlotte Alter who apparently has either learned at the foot of her father Jonathan Alter  how to lie outrageously or is a congenital idiot.

Reading what Alter says about the similarities between Roosevelt and Creepy Uncle Joe is like some kind of fun house mirror that could turn a flawed but patriotic persona like FDR into the semblance of a congenital liar and moral leper like the grifting, influence peddling, hair-sniffing, shoulder-fondling, gollum-like sex predator that fathered something as degraded as Hunter Biden.

Now I know that the mainstream media is shameless and will say anything to aid the Democrats but what kind of morons do they think the American people are?  FDR was a master communicator that was elected four times to the presidency during the Great Depression and World War II.  Joe Biden can barely string a noun and verb together in a sentence and when he manages to do that the noun is invariably a mistake for some other subject.  Is he running against George Bush or Donald Trump?  Is he running for the Senate or the presidency?  Is it 1988 or 2020?

FDR was a power politician who was known to manipulate those around him to achieve his goals.  But Joe Biden is a just an out and out crook who has sold the influence that his offices as Senator and Vice President have allowed him.  And the culmination of that career of betraying his public office is on display on the hard drive of Hunter Biden’s laptop.  Hunter was Joe’s self-identified bagman for thirty years.  He collected the bribes and laundered them through ridiculously overpaid, no-show jobs for which he was absurdly unqualified.  He was paid $80,000 a month by Burisma, a Ukrainian oil company, when he had no knowledge about the petroleum industry and no knowledge about the Ukraine.  And just to make sure no one mistook him for an actual employee he never showed up in the Ukraine.

Just to be clear, I am not a big fan of FDR.  His handling of the Great Depression was disastrous.  His socialist policies in the long run have not been helpful to the financial health of the United States.  And his character was quite flawed.  But to compare FDR to Joe Biden is like comparing Augustus Caesar to Caligula.  We can agree that both men were Romans and there the comparison ends.  We can agree that FDR and Joe Biden were both born in the United States and that’s about it.

Instead of advocating to have Biden elevated to the White House we should be endeavoring to have him locked up in a prison or at best consigned to a mental institution where he can’t harm himself or anyone else.

I didn’t include a hyperlink to the article because I didn’t want to provide them with any clicks for this crap.  If you really have a strong stomach or enjoy absurdist humor just do an internet search with the title.  But you’d be more amused by stopping by the Babylon Bee.  It truly is amazing what the human mind can make up if rent money is provided as an incentive.  At least if you happen to be a shameless progressive.

Is a Million Dollars a Tweet Too Much?

The Senate is debating whether they should remove the Section 230 protection from the internet.  No, I would leave that status available to sites that warrant it.  What I would do is specifically prosecute Twitter, Facebook and Google for violating the equal protection rights of their users.  These companies run actual monopolies for the services they provide.  And the users who have political or social positions that do not align with those of the management of Twitter, Facebook and Google are being treated differently from everyone else based on these political and social opinions.

And to those who give the lame argument that Google, Facebook and Twitter are for profit companies and would never do something that was against their financial interests like disrespecting a large proportion of their user base, I’d say well let’s find out.  How about fining these companies a million bucks each time they delete a tweet or shadow ban a post?  Or how about a billion dollars when they de-platform a conservative channel for a supposed offense that isn’t actually illegal?  That would be a real test.  For that kind of money even I’d create a YouTube channel and try to get them to de-platform me.

No, forget all that.  These tech giants are an existential threat to all of us.  Declaring each of them a monopoly and crippling them is a better idea.  I’d have one of the judges that isn’t against us carve these creeps into little tiny pieces.  Or how about nationalize them.  Turn them into a utility that is heavily regulated by the government just like the phone companies are.  And that will allow us to rein in some of their worse excesses like harvesting our data and spying on us.  And anyone complaining about content would have to get a lawyer and try to sue in court to have content removed.

Of course, the much-vaunted algorithms would need to be opened up and exposed to the light of day.  All of the built-in bias against conservatives and Republicans would be there to see.  Can you imagine how great it would be to see a search on Donald Trump not have the top results be CNN and MSNBC?  It would be a revelation.

Let’s face it.  If you make money through e-commerce being banned by Facebook and Google is devastating.  It’s like what would have happened fifty years ago if AT&T would have been allowed to prevent someone from having a telephone line based on their political or religious affiliations.  It’s as if today the interstate highways could be closed to you just because you called the Bidens a treasonous crime family.  It would be as if the television and cable channels were allowed to restrict campaign ads based on which candidate they favored.  Oh, wait a minute, forget that last one.  They’re actually doing it now.

And finally, I want this done because I know that both the President and I would spend at least a month crowing about it on the internet.  I would celebrate by going on all three platforms and mocking the management relentlessly.  I would welcome back all the re-platformed right-wingers and perform virtual victory dances in the most obnoxious and annoying ways I can think of.  And I’m sure the President will do the same.  So please President Trump, get the Justice department on the hop.  Make this a priority and makes these bastards sweat like they’ve done to countless people on the Right.  Here’s another great Christmas present for all of us.  Even before they get carved up make them stop the abuse.  Beat them like an army mule and make them say uncle and then beat’em again just for good measure.

Shut Down the FBI

Say whatever you like, if the Hunter Biden laptop has elicited no action from the FBI in nine months then we are officially a banana republic.  There is no way to paper over or hedge on the fact that they are refusing to investigate obvious influence peddling and corruption at the highest levels.  What are we supposed to believe, that Hunter Biden is really James Bond investigating international crime by appearing to be a sexual degenerate crack addict and accepting bribes for his demented father?  If a Republican had a tiny fraction of the evidence against him that Biden does, he’d have been hauled into court months ago to the accompaniment of media headlines branding all conservatives criminals.

And we’re supposed to believe that the Democrat party would have allowed Joe Biden to accept the Democrat nomination for President with this information floating around the government for over nine months?  The only explanation I can come up with is that the FBI is so bought and sold that the Democrats didn’t even sweat for a minute that any of this would be allowed to surface or in any way endanger the candidacy of Creepy Uncle Joe.

Where the hell is Christopher Wray to explain this outrage?  Where the hell is his boss Bill Barr?  Doesn’t it seem perfectly clear that if there is a reasonable explanation for why Hunter Biden isn’t on trial that they should be providing it right about now?  Based on everything I’ve read and heard Wray should have been fired by Barr and replaced with Rudy Giuliani at least temporarily to begin the prosecution of the Biden crime family and to begin the long hard process of emptying out the FBI.

I know that fixing the FBI wouldn’t end the corruption in Washington.  The CIA, the NSA and the State Department are all rats’ nests of corruption and anti-American globalism.  But the FBI is the single most dangerous weapon that the Left uses against its enemies among the deplorables.  Their expertise at gaming the various laws and their connections to the corrupt leftist judges that they feed their cases to makes them a terrible weapon to have turned on anyone even among the rich and powerful, never mind private individuals without resources or connections.

I was saying before any of this broke out that as soon as the election confirms President Trump for another term, he must confront Bill Barr with the ultimatum of either prosecuting the Russiagate offenders immediately or resigning.  Now I think the day after the election he should fire Barr.  It’s obvious there is no equal justice to be had in Washington D.C.  General Flynn is railroaded for imaginary crimes that even the Justice Department admitted didn’t exist but actual criminals whose crimes are documented and outrageously illegal are not only ignored but their co-conspirators are among the highest elected officials in the land.  The CIA needs to be forced to uncover the off-shore accounts of the Bidens and all their criminal partners and this whole outrage needs to be punished in a way that will put the fear of God into every dirty politician in this country.  Russia and China are adversaries of the United States.  Accepting bribes and other payments from them is tantamount to treason.  Joe Biden is a dirty crook and instead of moving into the White House he should be moving into Leavenworth for the remainder of his unnatural life.

Aside from any considerations of who wins this election, the American people have to come to grips with the fact that equal treatment under the law has been proven to be an illusion.  The rich and powerful on the Left are protected by a praetorian guard that includes the FBI and other law enforcement agencies that protect the status quo and make sure that anyone who shouldn’t be in charge isn’t.  If we ever hope to become free men again, we will have to find a champion willing to pull the teeth of this awful monster and then put it down.  That’s what has to be done.

American Greatness Steps Up and Creates a Directory of the Deplatformed

One of the things I’m always yammering on about is the need to identify people on our side.  Well, American Greatness has done just that.  They’ve put together a database of websites that provide forbidden content.  Many of these sites have been depaltformed from Facebook, YouTube and Twitter because they defy the proscribed boundaries of allowable discourse.  And they’ve even categorized their sins into five flavors

  1. Christian Patriot
  2. Climate Skeptic
  3. Free Speech Ally
  4. Irreverent Investigator
  5. Western Warrior

This is a great resource for folks who are looking for reliable sources of information and communities on our side.  In fact it’s almost too much choice but since it’s categorized it does help to focus your search.  I’m sure there can be debate about who is and isn’t on the list and maybe contacting the publisher of the list might facilitate an addition if warranted.  Anyway, the link below goes directly to the data base.

Murkowski Jumps on the Trump Bandwagon

Other than Senator Collins in Maine who is in the fight of her political life for re-election I don’t think any other Republican will vote against Barrett.  Even that gutless weasel Romney can see which way the wind is blowing and will follow the Senate leader’s orders.  But seeing Murkowski cave tells me that she thinks Trump is going to win and she doesn’t want to be his biggest Republican target in two years when she come up for re-election.

 

Listening to these craven fools pretend that they are making decisions based on careful ethical considerations is nauseating.  These sham conservatives are the real problem in our government.  If we had actual conservatives in Washington we wouldn’t be in the end stages of governmental collapse.  Even if she votes for our side this time, I hope an actual conservative runs against her and gives the people a real choice.

Well, it wasn’t what I hoped it would be.  First off the moderator wasn’t more than normally biased.  She slanted all the questions of course but there was even some questions that Biden didn’t like.  And President Trump was actually given close to the chance that Biden got to talk.  And President Trump was allowed to say a good deal about Hunter and the Chinese, Russian and Ukrainian deals.  I think on balance President Trump got the best of it.  He did a good job and made his points.  All good stuff.

But it was no fun.  There were no shouting matches or crying moderators.  All just too normal and boring.  Oh well.
